Hi all, just found this thread and being induced tues (will be 42 weeks) but can I join? Baby was due 6th June, dc2, a girl. Feeling very sore today (spd unfortunately as opposed to contractions) so let dh lie in till 1:30 and now he is looking after ds while I crawl into bed.
Good luck Dairy can u handle going for a short walk?

PinkPanther27 · 17/06/2012 14:26

justwantcheese how f**king rude of your friends to comment about your weight! Are they jealous that you're pregnant?

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 14:32

Hey pinkSmile Welcome to moaners anonymousGrinGood luck for your induction..

I could go for a walk but it's chucking it down here.. Been keeping busy with housework to keep moving but ann exhausted again now so off for a napSmile

Kveta · 17/06/2012 14:37

Dairy, cheese and pink thinking of you all - can't wait to see pics of your babies, who will be here so soon! know it doesn't feel like it right now :)

jessebuni · 17/06/2012 14:39

pinkpanther i feel your pain! my spd is horrific! my midwife came out to do a sweep today and just said at some time during the morning so i spent the entire morning in good positions to keep the baby as dropped as possible and walking around and things and she didn't turn up until gone lunchtime! Grrr!!!! I am now so sore in achey in my hips and back and after all that there was no progress anyway! I give up! It turns out she just wants to be sodding late and nothing I do seems to be hurrying her along or even helping my cervix progress at all so I'm just goign to sit and sulk now.

sewingandcakes · 17/06/2012 15:15

Dairy i've been told that 3rd labours can start and stop, have you heard this too? Seems to be right in my case; I've been getting BH since 20 weeks and was sure this one would come early (ds2 was born at 39 weeks)...

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 16:49

jessie the Midwife kept you waiting, how annoying. Hope the sweep at least did something..

sewing I haven't heard that but it must be true if my situation is anything to go by.. I feel like I've run out of emotional and physical stream to be able to do this. When it finally happens I'll just be knackered Sad

justwantcheese · 17/06/2012 16:53

Hi pink hope you managed a nice sleep, how exciting that your induction is on Tuesday, did they bring it forward a little bit because of the spd? I bet you can't wait.
Mine is on weds, it can't come quick enough. I still have not had even one twinge yet!
I think one friend is a bit jealous that I'm pregnant but I do look huge.nothing fits me apart from a couple of pairs of leggings, couple of tops and my pjs!
Thinking of you on Tuesday, wishing you a smooth and painfree labour x

McKayz · 17/06/2012 17:22

Sewing and Dairy I have heard that 3rd labours are the worst for getting started. Apparently it's fine once they start but that they can start and stop lots.

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 17:52

I see McKayz well that makes me feel a little less of a freak anywayGrin

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 17:59

More contractions.. Taken more paracetamol, gonna have a bath..

LauraSmurf · 17/06/2012 18:07

I have everything in the world crossed for you dairy

I remember the frustration and waiting so well. Don't have anything to say but I dearly hope this is it for you.

McKayz · 17/06/2012 18:08

Dairy I hope this is it for you. Fingers crossed that thanks to all the false starts it'll be a quick and easy delivery.

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 18:22

Thanks ladies. Bath is nice and relaxing, at least it'll help me chill.

McKayz anything happening with you?

McKayz · 17/06/2012 18:28

No not a thing. Just my usual back ache.

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 19:07

Hope something happens soon..
Bath stopped my contractions for 26 mins but at least I feel relaxed. Keep feeling pressure in my bum, starting to get concerned baby will just come out on the way to hospShock Getting out of bath now..

shellywellybaby1 · 17/06/2012 19:58

Good luck Dairy been lurking on a daily basis!! Hope something happens soon. I am fed up of having a tight bump n cramp. I want some actual pain so i can at least think something might be happening!! Am i a total freak?? Haha

DizzyKipper · 17/06/2012 20:19

Keeping fingers crossed for you Dairy that things will happen soon, that stop and starting malarkey sounds so frustrating. And good luck to those of you have inductions next week.

DizzyKipper · 17/06/2012 20:20

Oh wanting pain isn't weird shelly, I hope every night I wake up in excruciating pain just so I know something is happening at last - but maybe that makes me weird too Grin

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 20:39

You are not weird for wanting pain. I am
Admittedly getting tired of this pain going nowhere but at least it's a positive sign.

DairyNips · 17/06/2012 20:42

What a coincidence, I'm watching Friends whilst contracting and it's the episode where Rachel is telling the baby to GET OUT!Grin

shellywellybaby1 · 17/06/2012 20:43

Haha o good Dizzy glad am not the only one hahaha. Not even due for another week so i shouldnt be so determined to get this baby out just yet haha!!

McKayz · 17/06/2012 20:43

I want some pain too. At least that means I might be in labour.

DizzyKipper · 17/06/2012 20:46

snap, I'm not due for another week too (and so I feel a bit guilty for complaining when there are other ladies further along than me - and think were I to go into labour soon I'd also end up feeling guilty for the fact that there's others who've been waiting longer than me)

shellywellybaby1 · 17/06/2012 20:56

Thts it!! I think because so many people have said i wnt make it to my due date it brings me false hope! Haha. Good Luck everyone. I will continue lurking. Hoping for more babies soon!!
