I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

Hmm, how about a compromise? The morning can be spent busying myself with the duster and hoover then I can while away the afternoon watching crappy telly?

StateofConfusion · 19/08/2012 22:21

I think that sounds like a plan Grin

I need to think of something to do with the dcs for the next two days as ill sit and worry myself stupid if I don't! I had a total freak out this morning despite only being awake 30mins I'd not felt the baby move and flipped, necked loads of icy juice and laid down, got 12 movements in under an hour Blush so wriggler told me!

Ds is desperate to find out what we are having and was most upset when we couldn't 2 weeks ago so fingers crossed for co-operation this week!

I'll be thinking of you mrs as that delightful cold gel hits my skin :)

Oh do I feel rotten today! Like my back is being crushed, cold sweaty, and totally energyless :( I'll be seeing midwife on wedesnday and since baby is moving lots I've resisted panicking and only googled early labour once I don't really remember this feeling from the boys but memory loss is funny like that Wink

I've also got a letter offering me a scan in September...when I'm 37 weeks Hmm. I think it's automatic on moving to a new area but clearly whoever booked it doesn't realise how near to me c-sec I will be ny then. It even reminds me to have a full bladder ha ha!

StateofConfusion · 20/08/2012 11:59

Sorry you feel rotten wellies if its any comfort I had awful back aches every now and again with all pregnancys even this one already, was fine the next day or day after, I put it down to sleeping in a bad posistion.

I've been scanned at 37wks with ds and dd, and have one booked for this dc too, at my hospital its so they can accurately choose a section date nothing to worry about, I have one at I think 32wks aswell. :) x

Well another scan on wednesday, slightly anxious but the more wriggles I feel the calmer I am, despite yesterdays small breakdown Blush and fingers crossed the little monkey co-operates and let's us see what sex it is!

welliesandpyjamas · 20/08/2012 13:40

Ah, many thanks for that, state :) I didn't know about needing a scan before the c-sec but of course that makes sense now that I think about it. My other two were emergencies so this is a whole new ball game Grin

I think this back pain is because baby is pushing hard in to the back rather than the usual backache from carrying a giant bump around. It feels different iykwim?

Hey, we've nearly filled this thread! Time to start a new one soon. Can you believe it?! We've come a long way :)

gemdrop84 · 20/08/2012 15:38

aww look how far you have all come! glad you're all well (sorry to hear about the backache wellies) and good luck to all with upcoming scans. I can't quite believe I'm nearly halfway through myself, 18wks+4 and counting! I might get round to the idea that this is happening for us by my due date Grin I've been feeling a bit down in the dumps over the wkend, just felt overwhelmed, really moody/hormonal, had stretchy pains and full of wind Blush. Today though, I'm feeling fab, baby is moving hell of a lot today so that makes me feel Smile Glad to report no more leakage so don't have to stock up on the tena ladies just yet Grin

StateofConfusion · 20/08/2012 21:52

Elcs are so calm and gentle wellies its almost a bit surreal really. Dp even got to cut dds cord. I was back on the ward for lunch time and ds visited when she was an hour or two old :)

Good to hear your still doing well gem not long until that half way point!!

Well I'm 22+2 and today I braved writing a list! I'm in carseat choice hell though as our pram takes maxi cosi, recaro and britax, as does our car! And everywhere I research them I get mixed messages! Well atleast I'm worrying about something else for a change!

I'll sort a new thread before this ones full Grin

Agree about elcs, emergencies must be so scary. Matching diary slots with consultant was def one of weirdest bits!

StateofConfusion · 20/08/2012 23:18

Ds was was classed as emergency but I wasn't in labour, just 6 failed inductions and a right let's go to theatre he's not happy etc, it seemed to happen so quick and I honestly remember very little of it.

The choosing a date was very surreal, and getting up knowing in a few hours I'd have her in my arms!

I'm actually getting very excited about all this now Grin

welliesandpyjamas · 21/08/2012 08:29

It does sound calm and bizarre! Will be quite a change from the first two!

StateofConfusion · 21/08/2012 12:53

Once dd was born and checked me and dp were left in central delivery whilst I recovered so to speak, just an hour or so, midwife brought us drinks and snacks and left us to it, me and dp looked at each other and said, "what do we do?"

Ds was poorly, there was 6 people in the room with us, then I had a reaction to morphine, it was like a circus, then with dd, peace and quiet, it was wonderful but I do remember saying, "they're just leaving her alone with us??" Dp cracked up.
I honestly hope this ones entry to the world is just as peaceful.

Had a horrid dream last night that baby stopped moving and I went to A+E, well I'm sure you can guess the rest, horrid and totally shook me, fortunatly I got some huge wriggles when I woke.

OP posts:
MrsReiver · 21/08/2012 13:35

Oh State that must have been horrible, I had a really unpleasant dream last night as well. I think it's safe to say the stress is getting to me.

Have decided to do naff all today, found The Blind Side on Lovefilm instant through the xbox, so am lounging on the sofa sobbing my heart out to it. I love Sandra Bullock.

WLmum · 21/08/2012 15:52

Boo to bad dreams, yay to doing naff all!

StateofConfusion · 21/08/2012 16:12

When I woke up I felt like I couldn't breath and was frantically thinking through and working out if it was real or not.

And I've felt awful all day, achey tired and tearful.

SwanseaMum · 21/08/2012 16:33

Hi girls, had my 28 week appt with the consultant today and came away with an urgent cardiology referral and a growth scan in 4weeks cause my bump is huge. Oh well i don't do things nice and easy.
So much for my natural birth (rolls eyes) i really didn't want a c-section this time.
Hope everyone is ok xx

StateofConfusion · 21/08/2012 17:18

Sorry things didn't go exactly to plan swansea fwiw I found my elcs a nice experience, but I understand its very frustrating when you want a different outcome, let us know how you get on :)

OP posts:
MrsReiver · 21/08/2012 17:36

State - I hope you've taken it as easy as you can. We'll get through tomorrow together!

Swansea I'm sorry your appointment hasn't gone to plan, however you now have time to plan, so your c-sec is as calm, and serene as it can be. Even though the c-sec isn't your choice, you can take control of the rest of it.

SwanseaMum · 21/08/2012 17:38

To be honest state its not really the c-section that's the prob, dh was useless after the last one and i ended up doing everything after 10 days, and this time there are 2 dc for him to look after, i am dreading that part even without a cs :(

WLmum · 21/08/2012 20:38

Bad dreams make me upset all day too.

Sorry to hear you're not so well Swansea. Like state I actually found my elcs quite a pleasant experience, certainly compared to the nightmare that was dd1s natural birth. I also ended up doing a lot very soon but that's partly just my nature - cannot stand being ill (ukwim). Can you stock up the freezer with meals and maybe agree with DH that he will take dcs out every day to give you a bit of peace etc? Do you have any family nearby that can give you extra support?

StateofConfusion · 22/08/2012 10:31

swansea could you talk to your dp, before tell him what you need him to do for the first month --or is he defensive and arsy when asked like my dp--

Fwiw, my first csec took weeks to recover, 2nd one, she was born mid-day fri, home sunday morning! Fine and able to walk about and do most things except heavy lifting by monday/tuesday.

Good luck today mrs I'm slightly anxious but baby is wriggling so I'm trying to get a grip!

OP posts:
MrsReiver · 22/08/2012 10:35

I'm a lot less stressed than I was last night, we're leaving in 15 mins, just sipping my water and trying to think of anything other than what I'll be doing in 60 mins.

Good luck to you too xx

MrsReiver · 22/08/2012 13:55

HAPPY DANCE!!

I'm so excited, I finally believe I'm going to have a baby in February!!

WLmum · 22/08/2012 15:51

Yay! Grin

StateofConfusion · 22/08/2012 17:10

Great news mrs

All good here too, baby allowed all the checks to be done, but kept legs firmly crossed, keeping me on my toes already, another lovely long scan watching it wriggle, and the heart beat, and got lovely pics, same wonderful sonographer as last time, printed extra pics for the dcs aswell.

Feeling very happy.

WLmum · 22/08/2012 17:28
