I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

Thanks for the support guys, dr didn't really give me any reasons why it was negative when I'm so late. She just said that sometimes it takes awhile to show up. Last time I knew straight away I was pregnant because my boobs were really sore and bigger, plus I got a positive the day my period was due. But this time I haven't got sore boobs which worries me a bit (but they are bigger!), and if I am pregnant surely the fact that the hormone isn't strong enough to show up on a test isn't a good thing? It's so frustrating not knowing what's going on, and I'm finding it hard stopping myself from poas every morning!

WLmum · 14/08/2012 20:39

When I was ttc and a little bit crazyfied, I bought a bunch af cheap tests and poas every morning from the day (or before) I was due until my period came. I also poas many times after getting positive results. It just helped me deal with some of the uncertainty and meant I could somewhat put it aside and get on with the day. If you feel poas every morning would help you, big fat do it!

dexter I'd really recomend chatting to ladies on the 'mosh pit' thread in conception. Its a wonderful group with a lot of knowledge and women at various stages, from mc/mmc/ectopic/ttc and pg. They really have helped me with 'answers' so to speak and are very welcoming.

My experience was after my mmc my cycle altered and I ovulated outside the times I usually expected. I was 2wks late according to what was normal for me when I got my bfp! I lack any knowledge on the subject but that's just my personal experience. Good luck either way I have my fingers crossed for you :) x

Thanks for the support, unfortunately I've just had my period. I've never been late and I stupidly allowed myself to consider the fact that I could have been pregnant, which now makes it even harder. I'm heartbroken, it's like my body is playing cruel tricks on me. Guess its back to ovulation tests, temperature checks and crossing alot of fingers for next month.

WLmum · 15/08/2012 17:50

Sorry to hear that dexter. Good luck for next month. Xx

SwanseaMum · 15/08/2012 19:31

This baby hasn't stopped moving for what feels like two days! Very reassuring but gets rather tiring!

Yay for wiggly babies. Mine has been bouncing about and keeps getting hiccups! 20 week scan tomorrow, and DH and I have finally agreed on some names.

MrsReiver · 17/08/2012 14:28

Oh Dexter I'm sorry - good luck for your next cycle.

State - it's exhausting isn't it? DS was constantly on the move and while it is very reassuring you do get to the stage where you just wish they'd have a nap! DS never seemed to sleep - whenever I was in for monitoring (labour started and stopped a few times between 32 and 34 weeks) he would wiggle away from the monitors causing them to lose is heartbeat trace and all sorts of alarms would go off.

Yesterday was the first anniversary of the scan that confirmed we'd lost the baby, DH and I took a moment to remember the baby, but we didn't feel as sad as we thought we would. I felt a bit guilty. I remember this time last year, I felt like I'd never be happy again, but here I am - 12 weeks pregnant, I'm nervous but I'm overjoyed. It's strange....

StateofConfusion · 17/08/2012 14:59

My ds was the same mrs monitoring was a nightmare haha.

I'm glad your doing ok, I felt most strange on what would have been my due date, being excited for this baby and sad at the loss, the anniversary of my scan we found out we'd lost our baby is the same week I'll be booked for my c section, so I really hope that will distract me!

I'm a bit Blush that I missed the edd of my mc pregnancy. I think it was 4th july but it just came and went. But I do remember now that the day I am 6 months with this one is the same day that pregnancy was dated from. And that my edd with this one is the anniversary of my erpc.

WLmum · 17/08/2012 15:19

I am actually quite pleased that edd dates and horrid anniversaries have gone by here rather unnoticed. Like mrs says, at the time I was so devastated and felt I would never get over it but so luckily for me, counting the blessings I already have and with this one on the way I do seem to have moved on. I will always remember the devastation of my mcs and always miss what could have been but I am so thankful that I am in a good place now.

welliesandpyjamas · 17/08/2012 22:22

Hi everyone, glad to see everyone's ok and talking about baby names ShockGrin Haven't we all come a long way since the start of the thread!

Well, we moved and after over a week in the new house it is definitely HOME...feels great! Took quite a bit of cleaning and painting to get rid of the smell of the previous owners' pets, not to mention having to fill a skip with the rubbish they left behind Hmm but none of it matters now, we love our lovely new home :)

Also, I found a midwife and they're fastracking me to get to see a consultant asap, with six weeks left before my c-section!!!

WLmum · 17/08/2012 23:04

Hi wellies that sounds great! Shocker that they left a skip full of crap, some people are bloody awful. Glad u love it though, so nice to settled before baby comes. Good job with mw too. Have u got your names picked (don't tell if you'd rather not)? For now at least we've settled on Dylan for a boy but can't think of any girls names at all - harumph!

welliesandpyjamas · 17/08/2012 23:18

Hi WL :)

Yes, they were mingers! The worst was a bin half full of unbagged dogs mess. Bleugh!

Well, we're sort of decided on a name but I think we still need to see her face before being sure, iykwim? We picked family names for the boys and have done the same this time. I won't post them on here because I haven't told my sister yet and she frequents MN Wink

Dylan is nice. I found a nice names website a few weeks ago with pretty girls names on it...will see if I have it saved....

StateofConfusion · 18/08/2012 01:19

It sounds stupid, but I didn't realise how good I felt.

Today I bumped into a friend who I've not seen since just after the mmc, she said I looked really well and very happy.
I took a long look in the mirror and realised I do, I stopped looking at myself properly after the mmc because I was a mess, that was the cherry on top of a shit sundae for me.

And now its all gone. Its far in the past and this babys flipping away in my tummy and making me, me again!

Glad the move went well wellies and your happy! 6 weeks Shock home straight now!

state I know how you feel. My mc is certainly not forgotten, but I rarely think about it.

20 week scan all good today. Baby is the right size, very active (well, i knew that). And is going to be a little brother for my DS. Grin. Finally feel like I can allow myself to enjoy this pregnancy.

MrsReiver · 18/08/2012 17:15

Great news Bonzo, I hope you do manage to chill out and enjoy the second half of your pregnancy. How old is your DS? Have you told him he's going to have a wee brother?

StateofConfusion · 18/08/2012 20:19

Great news bonzo half way there now, time to enjoy it! :)

I'm 22wks today and can't wait for another scan on wednesday! Fingers crossed this wriggler reveals itself so they can take better measurements and I get to tell the dcs whether its a brother or sister!

OP posts:
WLmum · 19/08/2012 10:59

Brill bonzo. My little monster is quiet all day and then goes mad in the middle of the night! Maybe he knows already that's the only time he can get any attention with 2 older sisters to compete with!

MrsReiver · 19/08/2012 16:23

Okay, already nervous for Wednesday's scan. Not sure I'm going to survive the next 2 days.

StateofConfusion · 19/08/2012 18:47

What time is it mrs mines 12am, I can virtually hold your hand if you'll hold mine :)

I've freaked out before every single scan!

OP posts:
MrsReiver · 19/08/2012 19:40

11.30 State, bricking myself so a supportive hand to hold is very welcome.

I'm childminding on Monday then the kids are back to school on Tuesday.

I think Tuesday's going to be the worst, as it will just be me mooching around on my own. This could go two ways - I will either spend the day on the sofa munching carbs watching crappy daytime tv, or I will clean the whole place from top to bottom. Guess which way DH would prefer! Grin

WLmum · 19/08/2012 20:37

I'd go with the former! Will be thinking if you ladies.
