I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

state food is also my bestie too! I am eating so much it's unreal, if I'm at home I just graze all day, and then still eat proper meals on top. And I wonder why i'm so huge already!

20 week scan tomorrow Grin

StateofConfusion · 31/07/2012 21:32

That's how I am WL I've spent all afternoon wanting to eat my bbq chicken wrap and cinamon waffles all over again.

Good luck with the scan are you finding out the sex?

WLmum · 01/08/2012 18:28

Grin all good at scan, might even start believing I'm pg! It's amazing what they can see/show, so lovely. Sonographer explained why I don't feel much movement, 7cm thick placenta between me and the baby!
Got another scan booked at 32 weeks cos placenta is a bit low.
Didn't find out sex, I love that bit after all the effort of birth (albeit cs) when they say it's a...!
Hope everyone has had lovely days.

StateofConfusion · 01/08/2012 21:25

That's wonderful wl bet your feeling good today now Grin
So glad everything is well!

I'm finding out this time as I need to have a serious clear out of the dcs wardrobes toys etc to fit dc3 in and I can't bear parting with all dds dresses if they can be used again, plus with moving soon I'd like to know whether to leave the big loons sharing and have a nursery or split them and make room for wriggler in with dd. Plus tbh I am just super impatient! We knew with ds, not with dd.

My scans the 10th aug, seems sooo far away.

Well I really thought I was ok and accepting I'm pregnant.

For the big dc we had a leapfrog activity centre which sil borrowed and broke Angry I said to dp I'd keep an eye out for one on facebook selling pages, gumtree etc as we found it quite usefull but don't want to pay out nearly £100 again --sil fecking well should-- dp found one tonight and wants to get in tomorrow.

First thought is 'that's too big to hide' and a 'proper purchase' even though wrigglers wriggling!

OP posts:
WLmum · 02/08/2012 07:50

You're right sil should be replacing it! I'd say wrigglers wriggling so go for it - never could resist s bargain!

Will look forward to hearing what flavour wriggler is on 10th - it will come round before you know it. X

StateofConfusion · 02/08/2012 12:22

The sil saga is a long one but basically from being really good friends she ditched me and posted passive aggressive facebook status' about me when I had my mmc as she was a few weeks behind me in her pregnancy and I just shut down and backed away. She hurt me a lot.

I seriously need to get a grip and get shopping for this baby! I'm mentally setting a goal that I will when I know what colour Grin

state just bumped into you on another thread. It's like we are in sync. Both pg 4th cycle after mmc, both with due dates close to the erpc. In fact my EDD is the anniversary of the erpc, although in my head it's a week after that as that's when the obstetrician said he'd probably book a ELCS for (assuming I won't go into labour naturally or need baby out before then). As for shopping, I actually hadn't planned to do any! DS needs a bed so the cot will be free by then. I'll wait till nearer the time to decide if I will need a double buggy. We have everything we need (more than enough actually), anything else is luxury. Actually, it's a small part of me being reluctant to admit that this is not just a pregnancy but probably a baby!

Something about in laws eh? Mine are well meaning, mostly, but fucking thoughtless dicks, and sometimes quite selfish.

StateofConfusion · 02/08/2012 21:12

How old is your ds? bonzo how strange everything practically the same for us!

I've just realised to cotbed is in the garage so one less thing to think of! But mostly every thing else is long gone, our baby monitor broke after years of travelling about with it, and all clothes etc are long gone, I have a small box of toys in the garage I kept for when sil visited with her older ds which is plenty for the baby but I still feel woefully unprepared.

The lazy begger has only moved once today so ofc I am stressing, and I was stressed already thanks to the big twos antics, also felt very rough night so dp left me asleep today and I woke at 12.30!!! ShockBlush so I'm hoping I've just missed a few.

You only need to focus on Regular movement from 24wk according to dr google. I am wondering if my placenta could be in the way now, is that possible as I had better movement a few weeks back than now??

I'm elcs this time but it will be before my due date, as it was with ds and dd. Although despite never going into labour before I'm convinced I will this time. I'm a right worrier this time all the time!!!

Blimey the baby just rolled over twice, felt most odd!

OP posts:
bonzo77 · 05/08/2012 21:54

crazy all this movement. It surprises me every time, it seems so early compared with DS.

Had a bit of a mad morning yesterday. DH and I dtd thursday night and I had mild but persistent cramping after, and on Friday and into Saturday morning. And woke on Saturday morning with some slightly browny discharge. Obviously had a major panic and went to hospital. Luckily my hospital has a fab maternity triage service for once you are too far gone to go to EPU (18 weeks). The midwife couldn't find the HB, so I had to wait about 20 minutes to get a scan. Which showed all was fine. Thank god. I actually hugged the doctor who scanned me, which is not my normal thing at all, hugging strangers. They were all so very very nice. I'm going to send them a card tomorrow. If anyone is in North London I really really recommend the Whittington for seriously fabulous reassuring care for pregnancy after miscarriage.

welliesandpyjamas · 06/08/2012 15:00

Glad everything was ok bonzo. What a worry for you!

Hope everyone is ok. Just about to move house (yippee!!!!!) and so looking forward to getting there and resting lots before unpacking.

StateofConfusion · 06/08/2012 15:06

bonzo that must have been SO scary! But wonderful your hospital dealt with you so well, still 20minutes I'd have possibly lost the plot Blush now I'm further along and can't ignore the kicks I'm 100% sure I've been feeling them since 12wks! Deffinatly didn't that early with ds he was 17wks, and dd I think about the same but with a 16mnth age gap my memory is foggy.

Good luck with the move wellies take it easy though ok!

Ah it is so lovely so have so many sucessful pregnancys here after mcs.

WLmum · 06/08/2012 20:04

Wow bonzo that's sounds awful, but thank god u got such lovely care.

I agree, lovely thread. I'm starting to feel more now around my mahoosive placenta which is lovely and bondy and smiley.

StateofConfusion · 06/08/2012 20:49

I always smile like a loon when I feel wriggle WL

I'm in a right panic, I make cakes for my dc, and brother and sister, always have its a hobby, but I've recently had two of my sisters friends parents approach me for cakes and I'm booked to make one for this weekend! Inside I'm screaming but I'm kinda proud and anxious too! But ive decided what I earn, not a lot as I am by no means professional, I'm going to spend on wriggler, hopefully my first girl/boys outfit :) --actually first clothes I may have had my head in the sand a bit--

Well I've had a hectic day at my aunts with so many children I lost count, so I am now on the sofa with a pint of ice and crisps and dips, I've needed houmous all day! And dp said he needed cheese and chive. So I'm going to claim eating for two for the evening Grin

Hello everyone, how's everyone doing? I can't believe I'm past the half way mark! wellies u can't have long to go now? How was the move? Our blinking builder has put us back so now the work is due to finish mid dec - baby due on 19th! Hoping I won't be coming home to no kitchen, heating or hot water!

StateofConfusion · 09/08/2012 20:09

Hi WL glad your still well, it seems ages ago we were all awaiting first scans, and now were past the half way mark! Kind of daunting!

Nightmare builders, fingers crossed they pull there fingers out and get done and out in time for your arrival home with baby.

Well its my scan tomorrow and im 21wks saturday Shock I really want to find out the sex fingers crossed wriggler co-operates. I'm taking my ds along as dd came to the 13wk one so she is going to grandmas, and hopefully after im taking them shopping to choose some bits for the baby.

I am actually very excited --and ignoring the paranoid fear in the back of my mind--

OP posts:
WLmum · 09/08/2012 20:51

Fingers crossed all goes well and u get a nice clear view of the bits! Will look out for your next post. X

StateofConfusion · 09/08/2012 23:10

Thanks WL scan is at 9.40am so not too long for me to wait!

Baby just kicked so I laid talking and it wriggled more everytime I spoke, I may have damp eyes now Blush

OP posts:
StateofConfusion · 10/08/2012 11:02

Great scan, was wriggling all over the place, everything as it should be and due date still the same. It was a bit too wriggly so back in 12days just to double check the heart. Little monkey had legs firmly crossed so fingers crossed that's also changed by the next scan Grin

OP posts:
WLmum · 10/08/2012 14:00

So glad all was well, what an active little one u have in there! Cheeky monkey keeping he/she a secret! X

StateofConfusion · 10/08/2012 15:49

Lovely sonographer said she will look again at next scan, so 12 days to go.

It was so active I've never seen a scan like it but with ds and dd they'd show you and whip the screen away in a split second, she let us watch for ages, and didn't even mind ds and dd joining us and talking every now and again, she has two dc their age, she really was a lovely lady!

I was brave and went shopping! Got some tiny white lined cord dungarees with a wee white body underneath. And my mum got us a gorgeous chunky knit/lined with fine knit cream hooded jacket.

Boots have a half price sale if anyone is feeling brave!

OP posts:
WLmum · 10/08/2012 23:27

How lovely that she was lovely, and that yr dcs were able to join in. I'm not buying anything except a neutral snow suit. If it's a girl we'll already have everything and more and if it's a boy I'm sure we'll get a few gifts that will keep us going until I can hit the shops.

WLmum · 10/08/2012 23:30

Have just spent an unfeasible amount of time tonight though trying to find new bras to fit my odd shaped boobs, and that will be comfy too. Weight gain and rib spread means last times mat bras just don't fit any more. I really hate bra shopping!

StateofConfusion · 11/08/2012 00:06

Oh same here!! I have an awkward size anyway, and I also found sizes don't necessarily match between shops.

My boobs are starting to get uncomfortable in my tshirt underwire bras which were my saviour, I will have to get shopping soon. There's no way on earth my previous nursing ones will fit, my boobs have changed a lot in 4yrs!

I got rid off all the tiny clothes as they outgrew them, except special bits as we were in a small house then, so I'm starting again! All I have left is my bugaboo, cotbed, play gym and baby swing and a few toys!

If wriggler won't reveal on the 22nd aug, Me and dp are considering getting essentials clothes wise, so 8 vests/sleepsuits etc and then buy vouchers and hit the sales for outfits.

I need to get organised either way! Time seems to be slipping away!
