I had a mmc in December, went for a scan at almost 14wks and there was no heartbeat, it was utterly heartbreaking.

Had an erpc and got back to ttc after christmas.

Got a BFP on friday, for 5minutes i was so happy my face hurt from smiling then fear hit me straight in the face, and I've felt uneasy since.

I'm achey/dull cramps at the bottom of my stomach/around my previous c-section scars, which i remember from being pregnant with dd, and now I've 2 scars, my youngest is 3.5yo.

However this terrifies me, I've always had horrendous nausea with pregnancy, and this time, its mild, occasional sick feeling.

I know im obsessing and reading into everything, theres no reason for this pregnancy not to be sucessful but i cant relax.

Anyone else been there who can reasure me, or even if you've not and had similar symptoms.

Thanks.

Just popping in for a bit of a moan. I have allergic asthma (hayfever and allergic to dust), normally I take an antihistamine and forget about it. Over the last 10 days my inhalers have been my new BFFs. I've got two stashed around the house and one in my handbag. It sucks.

I saw my lovely GP this morning (at 8.15!!!!) who has given me a brown prevention inhaler which will hopefully sort this all out and stop my wheezing whenever I step outside or dust.

WLmum · 11/08/2012 20:53

I'm a total hoarder so kept everything! You're not wrong about the time, I am quite freaked by how much we've got to do before babe comes. Really need to get car sorted, and haven't seen/thought of any names I like either.

StateofConfusion · 11/08/2012 23:58

hope you feel better soon mrs xx
WL we cannot choose a boys name, i like a few but dont love any and its annoying me!

Hello, hope all of you are well (hope you start feeling better soon mrsr). Been quite brave recently started a list of things we need to get, we've bought a cot and decided on names: Seth for a boy and Isabelle/Isabella for a girl. Getting really excited as been feeling little one move about for over a week now, was panicking a bit as I hadn't felt anything for a few days and it's been quite sporadic but I got a few kicks yesterday which calmed me down. Dp's been amazing and I'm sooooo happy right now! Can't believe it's actually happening, been smiling like this Grin all day!

StateofConfusion · 12/08/2012 13:56

That's lovely gem the movements are so reassuring aren't they, lovely name choices :)

We've settled on Lily for a girl, boys names aren't going so well!

I really need to get my self organised and write a list, I keep going too and don't achieve anything!

Lovely names, unfortunately we already have them in the family/close friends. We decided on dds names quite late in pgs which stressed me out and I feel it coming on again! Am finding myself scanning everywhere for names again, tv show credits, magazines, shop workers name badges...Olympics! Nothing grabbing me yet though.

MrsReiver · 13/08/2012 17:29

Lovely names Gem! We have had names in mind since we started TTC in Jan 2011 and remarkably we both still like them! Which is fortunate.

Feeling much much better today, I have a brown inhaler which has made an amazing difference, I managed to hoover AND dust today without any problems. I also have lactulose for my "other" problem. Oh the joys of pregnancy.

StateofConfusion · 13/08/2012 18:08

I've been doing the same WL boys names are really begining to annoy me.

Glad you are feeling better Mrs pregnancy is so glamourous Wink

I like Dylan/Dillon for a boy, not sure what DH thinks though. He will probably hate it since we barely agreed on anything with dds.

MrsReiver · 13/08/2012 20:33

I LOVE Dylan, DS' best mate since babyhood is Dylan and he's such a sweet boy.

Finding names we agree on has been a nightmare too, we have agreed on 4 names. DS' name, the girl's name we gave to the baby we lost in August and the two names (one of each flavour) we have reserved for this baby.

No idea what we'll do if it's identical twins!!

StateofConfusion · 13/08/2012 21:03

i really like Dylan too.

We agreed on ds' name so easily, dds was a bit harder, this one if its a boy were struggling, dp isnt exactly being helpful, all he does is say no to what i think of basically Hmm

WLmum · 13/08/2012 21:11

Thanks mrs and would you believe it he likes it! Praise be! Maybe that means this ones a boy as we had only settled on girls names with dds. Gosh yes, you need double the names, and added complication that they must go together.
Hope you're feeling better now.

WLmum · 13/08/2012 22:57

state we had a few words over such behaviour from DH when I (not so much we) were trying to think of names. I'm not inclined to be nice about DH just now as we've just had a row about him making no concessions whatsoever for me being of and undermining me with dds - not intentionally but in a dimwit sort of way.

StateofConfusion · 13/08/2012 23:35

WL are you me? Me and dp had the exact same row today, as ds talks down to me and shouts and has to have the last word all the time! and dp never ever backs me up when I call him on it, twice today ds went unpunished for being vile to me as dp ended up rowing with me.

Its shit, he's on 3 types of pain killers and a side effect is personality changes, he came off them for two weeks and was nice again, today he has been a total dick!

WLmum · 14/08/2012 07:28

So glad it's not just me. With DH it's usual man stuff, he doesn't think before he opens his trap, then of course it's me who gets the flack. Also he's really tired because we're trying to get so much done before baby comes but I'm doing loads too and am also knackered. When u decided to put my feet up last night because they were sore and swollen he just saw it is a chance to have a night off too, therefore leaving all the jobs for me to catch up on today. I know it's minor but once in a while I would really like him to say 'you must be tired sit down while I make dinner or do kids bath and beds'.

WLmum · 14/08/2012 07:46

Instead he just moans about being tired or drags himself about looking sorry for himself while I always have to say this or that needs doing.

Dexter2402 · 14/08/2012 08:46

Hi guys, I started reading the first 6 pages of this thread but then skipped to the end and it's great to see that everything has gone ok for you and your babies!
I also went through a mmc in May, it was our 1st baby after 7 months of trying and we were so excited, we stupidly went out and bought a car seat, bottles etc. I thought everything was fine and didn't think I would ever loose our baby. When we went for the 3 month scan and was told there was no heartbeat my whole world fell apart.
We started ttc again and I'm currently 9 days late but 3 pregnancy tests have been negative. I'm never late but I have no idea what's going on, drs took another test which was negative yesterday and told me to test again in 2 weeks. I'm terrified that I'm not, but at the same time terrified that I might be after what happened last time. Because I've never had a healthy pregnancy I have no idea what is normal or not. My boobs have gotten bigger and I'm feeling sick sometimes but don't know if that's just all in my head because I'm looking for signs!

WLmum · 14/08/2012 09:08

Ok that's my rant over.
Welcome dexter how confusing for you having those negatives whilst being so late. Did the dr offer any potential explanation? I totally understand the 'do I feel this or us it in my head', after years of ttc and 2 mcs I got so confused I really couldn't tell! Fingers crossed it works out positive for you. Xx

gemdrop84 · 14/08/2012 09:38

dylan's lovely! glad you're feeling better mrsr, welcome to you dexter fingers crossed for you. We had a bit of a panic last night. I've finally calmed down but still a bit Confused as to what actually happened. I was finishing my dinner when I realised my knickers were damp, about half the crotch area and it didnt really smell of wee. It wasn't wet enough to trickle down my leg or soak through but was wet enough to alert me to it. Cue me panicking, thinking my waters were going Sad sobbing and dp got me on the phone to midwife. She advised me to pop a pad in and if it continued to come straight to hopsital. Had no more of it at all but I'm pissed off as I've been feeling so happy and finally got my head around the fact we are having another baby, now I feel that cautious 'daren't feel happy just in case' feeling....again....Baby gave me a right big kick last night once I was in bed and felt another one when I got up so that's reassured me but I'm in bits today as I don't know what happened. I'm hoping I just wet myself and need to stock up on the tena ladies! Grin

gemdrop84 · 14/08/2012 09:43

The midwife was reassuring, she did advise if it was my waters there would be a continious trickle that would soak through pad or a big gush with contractions so it must be good news that I was dry through the night and this morning with no pain. Sorry if this is tmi. Right I'm off for a Brew and a cuddle with dd in bed, my head's done in!

MrsReiver · 14/08/2012 10:32

Flying visit - welcome Dexter, everything crossed for you, Gem glad your MW could reassure you, hope you have no more dribbles and that baby keeps booting you. State and WL - I really hope you are both having a better day today. Men really don't have a clue sometimes (all the time?)

Scan is 1130 next Wednesday! Soooooo excited and really nervous.

gemdrop84 · 14/08/2012 10:56

thanks mrsr, no dribbles, not felt baby again but I'm sure he/she is fine. Had a cry and pulled myself together a bit. Just going to chill out today. Good luck with your scan, it's all very exciting isn't it, counting down the days til ours on 5th sept yey! Smile can't wait. x

StateofConfusion · 14/08/2012 11:42

WL dp is exactly the same I get the woe is me act or the 'loud' tidy where every sounds like a brick being throw, he makes me so damn angry!

dexter I have my fingers crossed with you, I had quite a few negatives before a positive with my ds, I knew I was pregnant but all pregnancy tests disagreed, I've found tescos and superdrug own to be more reliable than most brands (clear blue ignores my babies).

Hope you can rest and relax gem I often get a feeling of dampness down bellow in pregnancy, scares the crap out of me! But never any trickles etc. Fingers crossed yours is just the same :)
Xx

mrs I have a scan at 12 next wednesday Grin

I'm feeling utterly exhausted at the moment, worrying about everything and feeling a bit glum the past few days. I was trying to eat better but keep getting so hungry and wanting naughty things like crumpets. Argh this pregnancy really has messed with my head!

On a brighter note wrigglers very wriggler still and that makes it all worth while :)

OP posts:
gemdrop84 · 14/08/2012 12:28

Thanks ladies and I know what you mean state my head and nerves are shot to pieces from worrying/anxiety. It seems to be one worry after another! Glad wriggler's wriggling well, still not had much movement but that one kick last night and this morning has reassured me and makes me feel content Smile Have those crumpets [grins], I'm having toast with soft cheese for lunch! mmmmm.....

StateofConfusion · 14/08/2012 14:23

I found out that I feel more movement as my placenta is tucked right up and at the back at my last scan and also my sonographer said in her personal not professional opinion she felt more kicks with her pregnancy after a csec as she was more anxious about how things felt round there.

Enjoy your toast and cheese! I cannot wait for christmas and all the cheese!
