Hi, I've been watching the other thread all day.

Thought I'd jump in & say Hi! Just got my BFP!!! Due October 22nd! So excited.

milk · 17/02/2012 16:50

Congratulations Fairygodmother1

and hello everyone Grin

Bubblebell1 · 17/02/2012 16:59

Wooo a new thread already!

Congratulations fairygodmother Grin

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 17/02/2012 17:22

Oooh shiney new thread! Glad to see I've found you all! And welcome to all the newbies on our thread grab a Brew and some cake and make yourselves comfySmile or whatever it is that's preventing you from being sickGrin

Does anyone else feel ridiculously tired? And I'm not talking 'I need a little nap' tired I mean 'I actually can't get out of bed' tired?! I fell asleep on the sofa at 6:30 last night and I slept through until 7:30!!!! Apparently my lovely DH half woke me and helped me to bed at 11! I have no recollection of this! I do feel so much better for it today though Smile

Fairygodmother1 · 17/02/2012 17:26

Thank you everyone, see getting my head around the idea!

As I've just found out I'm far too excited to feel sick. Been a long road of about 4 1/2 years, much clomid & metformin, many tests including a lap & dye in Dec!

DH says I look tired but I don't feel it. Slight heartburn! Hoping no morning sickness but will see. I suppose it's early days here!

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 17/02/2012 17:30

Wow Fairygodmother you deserve to be excited! Enjoy every second of it and hope that you are one of the lucky few that don't get any morning sickness Smile

mirikat · 17/02/2012 17:33

OMG the tiredness!! I can literally sleep for an entire day - seriously if kipping were an Olympic sport, I would definitely be representing GB this summer!

Angelico · 17/02/2012 17:40

Welcome FairyGodmother and congrats - you've well and truly earned that BFP! Thanks

I was really tired last week but not bad this week, probably because I've been off work! Not looking forward to going back! Confused

Littleplasticpeople · 17/02/2012 17:41

Just discovered this thread!
I'm pg with dc3, edd 8th October I think so over 6 weeks now. Feeling like death, vomiting constantly Sad I have been prescribed antiemetics but they haven't had any impact. I will go back on Monday to see if they will prescribe anything stronger.
I have to keep reading about newborns to help me through these early days!
Very jealous of those of you with no sickness, enjoy your pregnancy!

Angelico · 17/02/2012 17:41

DameIce it's a Brew of Mulligatawny soup for me - my miracle food / drink of choice. Mmmmmm, spicy!

Angelico · 17/02/2012 17:42

Plasticpeople you may even die at the thought of it but I found the miracle soup and oatcakes helped me keep nausea at bay.

Beeblebear · 17/02/2012 17:44

I did the whole fall asleep on the couch at 7:30 and miraculously wake up in bed at 6:30 the next morning routine on Tuesday.

If i can get through the first 2hours home without falling asleep I seem to be good though.

However, I am waking up 2-3 times a night minimum to either go pee, or because i was just having some crazy dream. Like bullies chasing me down the street, but then the firefighters show up and totally blast them with the hose! ... and then of course dreaming of all that water. I wake up and I have to pee!

BabyDustPlease · 17/02/2012 17:50

Oo new thread already!! We talk alot Grin

Thanks for the reassurance about my morning sickness. My booking in appointment went well, mine was with the doc, not the midwife. She tested my urine, blood pressure and breathing - everything was fine. She then laid me on the bed and prodded me in the tummy alot which was apparently to check that she COULDN'T feel anything because if she could at this stage she would be worried, thankfully she couldn't feel anything!! She did prod me very hard in the bladder though, thought i was going to wee myself!! She wasn't hugely reassuring about my worries with my sickness disappearing and just said what will be will be.

Tiredness....yes yes yes. So very tired!! I'm all settled at home as I write this but have to drive half an hour up the motorway at 8 o clock to go to a bridal party thing at my best friends where she trys on wedding dresses at her house and I try on bridesmaid dresses!!! I feel like a whale!!! oh well, should be fun :)

Hope everyone is glad it is friday and all keeping well, congrats to all the newbies...oh and Angelico what is Mulligatawny?!?! Dame Ice Kinder Egg for me....craving them!!

Sorry everyone I've babbled on a bit Wink

piggyboo · 17/02/2012 17:53

grabbing my Brew (decaff of course Wink ) and joining you too if thats ok? Expecting DC2 18th October. I agree about being super tired not sure how much of this is PG related and how much is due to my 2 y.o waking me twice a night. Oh well at least the MS hasn't kicked in yet. With DD it was evening sickness that kept me up all night :(

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 17/02/2012 18:01

Glad it's not just me....will I make it through Eastenders tonight? That is the question! Babydust I'm glad your appointment went well, pregnancy is a law unto itself, I wish my sickness would go away! Or that I'd actually be sick and then feel fine!

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 17/02/2012 18:04

Haha piggyboo when I read the bit in your message saying 'not sure if your tiredness was PG related or not' my instant thought was 'yes maybe my tiredness is due to drinking decaffeinated PG Tips!' Grin

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 17/02/2012 18:10

Oh and welcome Piggyboo!

GemmyMummy · 17/02/2012 18:26

Glad to hear that I'm not alone with the extreme tiredness!! Just feel as tho I have no energy at all!!

I wake up in the morning feeling Ok then from about lunchtime til bedtime I feel so, so sick!! I dread dinner times when my 5 yr old and DH ask the dreaded question "Whats for dinner?"!! The thought of cooking makes me feel ill never mind the actual smell of it!! Hope this stage passes soon.

Got my Booking in appointment with the MW on Thursday....Looking forward to that as maybe then things will start to feel real!! :)

TheGrandOldDuke · 17/02/2012 18:42

Congrats to the new BFPs!!!

(((hugs))) for sassee

Currently living on cottage cheese, baked potatoes, oh and more cottage cheese.
Had the most awful day at work, I don't know how I'm going to keep doing this sickness thing. I'd forgotten how horrid it is :-( just keep trying to remind myself I'm lucky, and that hopefully it'll pass at week 12. Just feel so wretched. Worried it might be twins????

Age 30, 7+2, will be DC2

MoreDeadlier · 17/02/2012 18:46

Hi All,
Expecting DC1 on Oct 9th :o not had any sickness yet, but my usual morning cuppa tea smells like poo!

nenehooo · 17/02/2012 18:53

Oooh a new thread! God - how many are we gonna get through before October?!
Congrats and welcome to all the newbies and moredeadlier your post ACTUALLY made me laugh out loud!
Talking of poo... as it's the first Friday night that I'm officially pregnant, DH and I bought some alcohol free beer. Looks, smells and tatses like poo. Or worse - like Floradix. MINGING! Big Angry
On another note, midwife appoinment went well, despite her taking 8 vials of blood from 3 different veins - I usually spurt so easily!
Bon weekend everyone!!!

Angelico · 17/02/2012 19:18

Oh Mulligatawny soup, I keep waiting to go off you but I never do :o

missbone · 17/02/2012 19:30

Bloody took me ages to find the new thread! Was panicking! So thick!

fairygodmother1, what a joy!! Thanks Welcome and congrats to all other newbies, too Grin

Went for lunch with Mum & Dad today and haven't seen them in a fortnight. They could not BELIEVE how big my 'bump' is (i know baby won't be showing yet as i'm only 6+4, but Mum was really quite concerned and even thinks i should go and let my GP have a look - she's a twin and is convinced, from the size of my 'bump', that i'm not 'normal' at this early stage. I'm slim and athletic, so it's definitely not a weight issue. What does anyone else think? My 'bump' starts hugely from right beneath my breasts and ends at the pubic region and i can't wear anything but pyjama bottoms now around the house. Wore huge sloppy leisure pants for lunch today)

My boobs are humungous, too, and, although i didn't want to start wearing maternity bras yet, i simply have no option - none of my bras fit anymore Sad
I seriously look 4 months pregnant. Any advice anyone? Should i go to my GP?

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 17/02/2012 19:30

Congratulations to all the new BFP's :)

Feeling excessively exhausted. Last night I went to sleep with DS (in my bed) which was just divine but it was only 8pm. Had a long walk today and now feel knackered. Another early night for me I think.

Otherwise my knockers continue to be sore. I said to OH the other day that it feels like someone has squeezed them really hard then twisted them. They feel like they are going to turn black and drop off. Sorry to be so graphic and ridiculous but they are soooo sore. And I've realised my sickness is worse when I am hungry. The trick is to eat little and often. Up to now cravings are bacon and lemonade. And I haven't gone off any foods yet which is great. I could barely eat meat, hated all poultry and carrots last time.

I've been very different this pregnancy to my last one. I was so elated when pregnant with DS and was wowed by everything that happened. This time I am elated but I'm much calmer and am accepting of stuff that is happening to my body. I already feel guilty about not giving my little tiny lentil half as much attention as its older brother when he was its ages. Obv the pregnancy is on my mind but it isn't taking over my life like being pregnant with DS was. I hope this is a good thing and my chilled out attitude will reflect on my new baby. DS is the total opposite - bad sleeper, bad temper, on the go aaall the time but of course I wouldn't change him for anything.

Right well here's for another alcohol free Friday night. Cheers ladies

DameFlatYouLent · 17/02/2012 20:09

ooh hello all!

tired? dameice I left work early, got home at 3 and passed out. Luckily woke in time to go and pick DS up from CM, I could've slept for weeks. Unfortunately I don't sleep so well at night...DS has a cough and just coughs all night, poor thing. And poor me.

I'm eating anything and everything in a desperate and vain attempt to stave off MS. It's really not working. Bleugh.
