Is there anyone around who has just found out that they are pregnant and are due in Sept?
I know it's very early days but I thought maybe I could get the ball rolling...
I'm due around Sept 4th I think, with DC2, feeling very happy if a bit nervous :)

poppyjen thanks for sharing. I know I have long period and sort of know when i ovulated (day 22) and told my GP all i know but she still used 28 days to work out my EDD. I hope the dating scans etc will help get a better estimate!

Hi hotcup, I have 2 DS, DS1 arrived after 37weeks3days and funnily enough DS 2 arrived after exactly same time! Spooky. So - am shaving a few days off my EDD...

Very sorry for all losses, I can't imagine how you're all feeling. x

oh and DS1 "popped out" after 4hour delivery, and DS2 came out after 50mins, start to finish, from first contraction to delivery. not sure I'll make it to hospital this time round..... My husband enjoys pushing the speed limits, but not sure even he's capable of getting me there in time. Yikes.

Fastscooter - 50 minutes? I do hope my delivery is as quick as that!

PLease can we all have a fastscooter style labour if we get that far?! 50 minutes, job done!

In answer to The earlier question. My dd arrived at 40+2. My waters went first and contained meconium. I won't scare any first timers with the details but it sadly ended with an emergency c section after 12 hours of labour. I am very keen to try and have a vbac this time.

I have a question for any 2nd timers or more. With my first I didn't get a positive test until 18 days after ovulation and it was very faint. Barely there there first 3 days of testing.

With this pregnancy I got a very dark postive test yesterday 13 days after ovulation. I recon I could have probably seen a faint line had I have tested days ago. This evening my dp brought home one of the digital clearblue tests with conception indicator and it came back with pregnant 3+ week which means it has been 5 weeks for more since I conceived. This wasnt even with first morning urine. Now I know this isn't right as my period was 28 days ago and I got a positive ovulation test 14 days ago today.

Has anyone had any experience of this? I have googled it and I lot of people have said they had this and went on to have a mulitiple pregnancy! Can someone put my mind at rest and tell me they had this and went on to have a singleton as the thought of 3 or more under 3 is scaring me! As lovely as twins would be

quitcomplaining I had the same thing....... v dark lines unexpectedly early and clearblue digi further along than expected too....

I can't help you put your mind at rest but if it helps I am right there with you scaring myself silly about the thought of 3 under 3.....

quit and poppy I had a 3+weeks at 4 and a bit weeks too - am having a scan on 20th and hoping it's just a strong bean rather than two.... well actually two would be nice (hard work I imagine)!

Hopefully someone out there has some reassurance from experience....

Poppyjen how old is your dc1? We can be scared together.

I think my dp thinks im mad as I have been researching early scans and am considering parting with £100 to find out next month! He says what will be will be and we might as well wait until 12 weeks. I think he thinks im worrying about nothing!

If it is more than one I would rather know sooner. My mil is currently my child care whilst I work part time. We are very lucky that she will also look after dc2 If I decide to go back but twins would definitely not be an option for her. I would have to seriously consider the worth of me going back to work!

My dp is likely right and I'm worrying very early about something that might not even happen!

I've never done the clearblue number of weeks test. I just did from last period - out of curiosity I might go and buy one tomorrow to see!

I will have 3 under 4, so think 4 under 4 would be just mean.

No I didn't last time. It was only that the test was so much darker so early this time that I thought I would get one!

Oooh now I want to go and buy one and see how far along it puts me It was accurate with dd2 said 1-2 weeks 2 days after AF was due.

Well I tested 13dpo and it wasn't fmu and I got a strong line really quickly and I know there's only one in there! My test with dd was really obvious the day before my period with non fmu too...I'm taking it to be a sign of a healthy pregnancy

poppyjen I have a similar concern this time round; my cycles were averaging 40 days, I know I conceived very late in my cycle and yet my GP used the old 28 day cycle calculation. I can't wait for my dating scan to clarify it for me.

fastscooter how unusual to have exactly the same term with both pregnancies; and a 50 minute labour? Wow! I have my fingers crossed for one of those after my 17 hour labour with DS!

Quitcomplaining that must have been traumatic; hope this one is straight forward.

Had my first hospital appt today - I am diabetic and usually just take tablets and use diet to control it but in pregnancy have to use insulin which means hosp appts practically every week for me. Booking appt made for 17th feb and nuchal rest/ scan for 28th feb... Feels like ages away!

I have my 8 week reassurance scan in late Jan and my 12 week scan on the 17th Feb. Oddly my booking in appt is a week after the 12 week scan! 13 weeks seems awfully late for the booking in. it was 8 weeks last time. hmmm...

My booking appt is at 10 weeks. At my hosp they send you for bloods then which they use in conjunction with the scan for the overall risk factor. I have to say though I think last time immy booking in was 12 weeks and scan was 13 though... I think all hosps do it differently though and maybe they want scan first before booking to check all ok first?

that makes sense. spent ages at the last booking in i had in july, gave copious blood samples (which always makes me faint!) and went through the lengthy forms only to miscarry at ten weeks....turns out i had an anembryonic pregnancy so there was never an embryo there. i guess it's better this way round. 2 scans will confirm everything is ok!

i'm at no more risk of another anembryonic pregnancy or indeed any kind of miscarriage than anyone else so i'm sure it's just a computer generated appointment. my paranoid self was thinking that maybe after what happened last time they wouldn't bother with booking me in until they know there's a baby in there!

Hi y'all, is it too late to join this thread? I tested on the 2/1/11 and am due 8 September. I have my first antenatal appointment next week. Absolutely knackered, except at night when it's time to go to bed. Also bloody starving all the time.

Ah, checking back in now since first signing up; this thread has grown amazingly in last few days!

I'm about 6+3 I think now, and getting quite concerned that I look enourmous already, with a couldn't be anything else bump! Had dd just over a year ago now.and honestly I was this pronounced when I was 6 months gone with her! How's a girl to be discreet about an early pregnancy? Kicking myself for not doing tummy toning while I had the chance!

Love the fact dd is going to have a friend though, two under two bring of on!

How's everyone feeling? To be honest I'm feeling very little difference, only difference is the discomfort in my tummy especially when I lie down, but nothing else. I'm sleeping fine and eating fine. No sore boobs. I know this may sound silly but this makes me wonder if my baby is doing fine in there!

Have double checked my dates and my EDD is actually 17th Sept so have just updated the list!

Hope everyone is feeling ok today?
Im fine though have a really bad sore throat and a bit of a cold - nothing too bad, just more annoying than anything!
Pregnancy wise, still have the big sore nipples (does anyone else??!!) and keep waking up in the early hours of the morning feeling slightly sick but other than that, nothing much.

Still havent been to the docs as am waiting until I have missed a 2nd period as, after what happened last time (MC at 5 weeks), just want to be doubly sure this time! Though am sure we have a sticky one this time!!

Saw MW yesterday, and she actually wasn't that reassuring re: my bleeding. She booked me in for a scan a week today, and I spent the rest of the day in tears.
They won't scan before 7 weeks she said, so I have to wait a week to find out if everything's ok. Feeling very crap.
