Oh, pie, poor you and DS!
I'm sitting here timing what are probably more like period pains than contractions, but they are coming and going and getting stronger I think. Could be the start of something? I really have no idea!

Oh pie that happened to us too! I'd had a week off and DS got the pox! The mw wasn't concerned for me and baby as I'd had them as a child if that's any help?

Good luck twitt I hope it all goes smoothly see you on the other side!!

twittit does sound like the start of it, in my experience labour does start off like period pains. Get moving around as much as poss- hope this is it! Excited for you.

We are now home from hospital with our beautiful baby girl Edith (Edie). She was born on Wednesday evening, by emergency section in the end so we didn't get the natural birth we would have liked but it still felt pretty relaxed, however none of that matters now she is here in our arms. She weighed in at 9lb 1.5oz, and is just perfect.

Congrats twitt on the safe arrival of your baby girl!! Welcome to the world Edie (love the name!!) xx Whoop Whoop!!

Thankfully DS seems to be over the worst of the chicken pox and should be able to go back to nursery tomorrow which gives me 3 days to get everything done before the big day!!

Had an appt at the hospital last Friday to go through things with the anaesthetist who, to be frank, put the fear of god into me. Although I had an EMCS last time I was out of it on pethadine after a 36hr labour so was oblivious to it all. However he spelt everything out in far too much detail for me and I left feeling quite petrified and anxious about it all!! I also hadn't felt baby move much over the past day (combined with being utterly knackered after DS getting pre 6am scratching his spots!) so burst into tears (he didn't have a great bedside manner either!) so was put on a CTG trace for 45 mins which reassured me.

I very much doubt I will get much sleep on Wednesday night! I just want the baby to be here safe and sound! Wonder if I could take rescue remedy beforehand?!!

Just popping in quickly-sorry,no time for internet at all.
Congratulations to all new arrivals,hopefully will catch up with all of you soon,now juggling between feeds,washings,meals and goodness knows what.
Our we boy was born on &th of June,induced labour,didn't want to come out at all.Labour was very quick,wee one weighing 7lb11oz.
Good luck to those still waiting,it's sooooo worth it to hold the baby in the arms :)

Our baby daughter arrived this morning! Cerys made an appearance three days before my planned section date, tired but so happy will report back with full story later xx

Caroline is growing well - 2lb on in the last 3 weeks and is currently snoozing next to me in bed... (Monday is our designated lazy day!!)

Another baby?! There's a baby boom! Congratulations Pie!

Wow! What lovely baby news! Congratulations to Twitt, Lime and Pie. I will try to update the list!

We had the weekend camping at Drayton Manor theme park (it's only 20 minutes down the road). It was a good weekend, despite the rain, but having spent all of Saturday walking/ standing around while everyone went on the rides, sleeping on an air bed and getting by on little sleep thanks to the howling wind and several nightly trips across a field to the toilet, I'm suffering for it now! I must be mad. I definitely won't be doing it again until after the baby arrives! SPD had been feeling a bit better, but it's back with a vengeance. I've had my physio referral letter come through, so I'll call tomorrow to make an appointment.

I'm a little bit worried about my weight gain. I started this pregnancy at 10 stone, lost a few pounds due to MS and went down to 9 stone 11lb, and now at 26 + 4 I'm 11 stone 7lb! DH keeps telling me that all that matters is a healthy baby, which I agree with, but I can't help thinking about the fact that I am going to have a fair bit to lose afterwards. I don't understand it-I haven't really changed my eating habits, and have probably cut out a fair number of calories per week due to not drinking!

Moomin, please don't panic about your weight (so says she who's lost 9lb in the first 8 weeks ) - as well as baby there's your placenta, the fluid, and all the extra blood in your system. It all adds up!
