Hello girls.
I'm not going to promise to try and post more, because I always say that...And then fall quite a bit short. I think Im just more of a lurker than a poster on here!! But I just wanted to say hi, I love all the new baby news :) I love watching the list going down at the top, and that Im still here, 34 weeks tomorrow! People keep telling me how quickly time is flying in, and I happen to agree.. I'm soooo excited!

I got my date for my planned C/S today - 30th December :D
Baby is breech and v uncomfortable, feel I can hardly breathe. I also got into trouble for having a high Ketone level yesterday, but I think its because I can't seem to fit much into my stomach!!

Not long now girls :)

Velvetcu · 24/11/2011 16:36

I have fallen off so thought I'd resurface - I have no idea where the time is going! Can't believe Eva is 5 weeks old now!

Loving the sweepstake GrinGrin

Congrats digi welcome to grads!

dooscooby · 24/11/2011 16:59

Hi sunny nice to hear from you-great youve got your date thro, sorry that youre so uncomfortable though.

im having a freak out kind of week-think ive got a bit of a bug cos i keep feeling nauseous, mild sore throat and really hot. Baby seems to have dropped today and feels like its shaking its head really low down, plus squirming quite uncomfortably. I looked at my notes and saw that the mw had put 4/5 which i think means 1/5 engaged. Dr google seems to say thats completely normal from now on but im starting to realise this baby could perhaps come at any time from now and i feel so mentally and physically unready its untrue!! wiw - are these the kind of wibbles you were having last week? Did they just pass? Think im seriously going to have to consider finishing work earlier, i feel like i need to focus on this baby/birth business now-feels very wrong to be surrounded by people who think im normal and can concentrate on holding meetings and am not freaking out internally!

shell pleased youve got your query resolved re the stitch.
wiw happy due date!
cep congrats on getting a big long feed-hope its smooth sailing with the bf-ing from now on.
stitch feel for you on the faint front-i always curse myself when i forget to stuff my back of snacks and water. Did they not give u any tea and biscuits after the gtt?

LILI80 · 24/11/2011 18:22

Just wanted to pop on and say congratulations to collie Smile fab news! Such a lovely name too.

laff my edd buddy how are you? I've been getting quite a lot of movement which is really nice and comforting, although with all these babies arriving or about to arrive, I feel left out!

Can't wait for March to come round!

Sorry it's a quicky, hope everyone is doing ok. We're all on baby watch Smile

LAF77 · 24/11/2011 19:39

Hi lili my EDD sister. I'm doing well, knackered today after driving 200 miles for work today. Baby has been fairly quiet most of the day, but I think the car journeys make him sleep. I've felt a few prods since I've been home. The movements felt noticeably stronger as of Monday. It's hard to believe I'm over 23 weeks. I bought some baby name books and a new magazine and am going to lounge around looking at them tonight. How did things go with your job situation?

doo I empathise with your predicament. I think that for me, I'm immersing myself in work to try and not dwell on the birth side much, even though I have a lot longer to go. I'm planning on finishing 3 weeks before EDD, but could go for longer, but maybe it isn't a great idea.

So we think that lara is the next name on the list after collie ? Here's to hoping that the end of the week sees the arrival of more babies!

dachs if you are out there, I hope that you are well and that the stitch has done its job and you are OK.

Blackkat · 25/11/2011 08:39

Quick post to wish bigmac all the best for today, hope all is well bp wise, will be thinking of you x x

bigmacandhappymeal · 25/11/2011 18:48

Evening all

Thanks blackkat - delighted to report that BP was all normal today so no induction and on we plod. They've found an infection in my kidney's so I'm on antibiotics Hmm and I have a stinky cold but I can deal with both of those if the Happymeal is OK :) I've been having the irregular period pains still and a little of weird egg white CM... Also, I was twineing on a couple of weeks ago that the bean had turned so that his/her back was on my RHS - in bed last night there was a seismic shift and the little blighter has gone back to action stations position - hurrah

doo I know exactly what you mean about them shaking their head somewhere unmentionable! It's so weird isn't it? Welcome to the latter wibble stages as well - it does pass (and come back and then pass and then come back and then pass). Work just feels so unimportant in the scheme of things - when are you going on ML?

Hi sunny - glad you got your dates through... it'll be a busy NYE for you :)

wiw how are you doing today?

Hope everyone has lovely weekends planned and is feeling well and happy

DiffedAgainDachs · 26/11/2011 00:50

laf thanks! I am lurky lurking occasionally. Am 18 weeks on Monday and I am therefore getting close to the stage where it started going wrong with the twins, who I eventually lost at 20+3, so I'll prob be around more after 21 weeks when I'm not so freaked out and paranoid all the time. :). Xxxxxx. And it's my b'day tomorrow so we're going for a scan to try to find out the flavour of the pup :). I doubt it will behave though....

DiffedAgainDachs · 26/11/2011 00:51

Technically since its after 12 I guess it's my b'day today but since I haven't slept yet it feels like it's tomorrow still...

CollieandPup · 26/11/2011 02:37

Happy Birthday Dachs!

Ohhh exciting for all the top of the listers!!! I can't wait for news!!

D-day today but no signs of anything atm...

Biscuitsandtea · 26/11/2011 07:16

Aw Dachs lovely to hear from you - I'd been wondering where you were. Happy birthday, good luck with the scan and take care of yourself across the next few weeks. I know it'll be a really tough time to get through but I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I assume the hospital will be looking after you - do you have any scans or extra appointments etc booked?

Biscuitsandtea · 26/11/2011 07:16

Good luck to everyone else at the top of the list too - I look forward to lots of baby news Smile

bigmacandhappymeal · 26/11/2011 08:58

Happy birthday dachs! Will be thinking of you over the next couple of weeks

Welcome to d-day izzy!

Have a great day all

bigmacandhappymeal · 26/11/2011 09:03

... And I'm delighted to announce that the mystery popper at the top of the list was Lara! Grin More news to follow from the lady herself
x

LILI80 · 26/11/2011 14:47

Hi LAF I know what you mean about being knackered, I had to go to London yesterday for a meeting and didn't get home until 8.00pm - normally I would be ok but it's caught up with me today! My new job has been brilliant about the pregnancy they even offered to pay for my taxi off the train yesterday rather than go on the tube!

I'm thinking of finishing 3 wks before due date how about you? have you had any thoughts on when you'll go on mat leave?

Re: names, I can't decide on a boys name. I like Oliver, Cameron, Max or Alistair for a boy and can only think of Sophie for a girl!

Dachs Happy Birthday! Let us know how the scan went Smile
collie How's it going with little Isaac? How are you getting on with bf?

KatAndKit · 26/11/2011 18:09

Happy birthday dachs look forward to hearing news of your scan :)

DiffedAgainDachs · 26/11/2011 18:20

Just a quick one as I am knackered! :) Pup behaved itself at the scan and we are having...... a baby! :)

(a pink one...)

Biscuitsandtea · 26/11/2011 18:34

Excellent news Dachs - glad the scan went well and hope you had a good birthday xxx

KatAndKit · 26/11/2011 18:55

Fab, fab news dachs and a belated happy bday! Absolutely thrilled for you! Smile

LIL - I'd recommend you go on mat leave at the earliest opportunity you can - it's hard to describe how much work takes out of you.....

good news on the bp bigmac

Happy d-day for yestereday izzy - nothing happening yet?

We had a bit of a palaver in the end yesterday... went for routine appt with ob/gyn and we set a date (next sat) to be induced. She tried a sweep but cervix completely closed. They then sent me for a tacograph in the clinic which showed the baby very sleepy (normal heartbeat of around 140 but no spikes which they would hope for) so was then told to go straight to hospital for immediate induction.... do not pass go, do not collect 200 quid etc! Needless to say I was a bit panicky thinking something was really wrong with junior. DH was brill though. They hooked me up again when we got there and perfectly normal readings. They did it again 3 hours later and again perfectly normal so I was discharged - agh! We think the clinic where I was in the morning over-reacted a bit and junior was genuinely just having a snooze - fair enough! Not the best way to spend DH's bday but a good practice run I suppose! Off again for another tacograph on Tuesday to check all ok.... this will be at the hosp though so fingers crossed all ok, otherwise we're all systems go for next sat - eeeeeeek!

Waves to all and good to see so many new faes here Smile
