shellshock7 · 22/11/2011 13:00

Congrats Collie Isaac and Thomas are on our shortlist so great name choice! Grin

stitch I don't have any experience of heparin sorry, but I hope everything is ok for you...sorry you are finding it so hard generally, I had no idea really only had heard of morning sickness, swollen feet and heartburn before I started TTC. All what you have to put up with and me with my PGP etc, it is amazing how hard our bodies find something that we are meant to do Confused

LAF made up for your feeling movements now, it really is the best part of being pregnant - I do love my bump, even if the rest is hard, I never stop being happy to be pregnant Smile

Can I ask for some advice please, I read a thread on here last night and am not sure if I need to be following up on it. I had two colcoscopy treatments when I was younger (at 20 and 21 and I'm about to turn 32) and am not sure whether I should be asking about a cervical stitch? The thread seemed to suggest that the laser treatment can weaken your cervix? I had my MW appt yesterday so would have asked then if I'd seen this before...not due back in now for 3 weeks? Do you think I should be asking ringing the MW about this or am I being alarmist! Thanks Smile

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/11/2011 13:04

Congrats again collie and a fabulous name (not that I'm biased!!) Grin Grin Grin

shell I would ring and ask...always best to play it safe imo

sunnysunchild · 22/11/2011 13:31

Just popping in to say OOh HUGE congratulations to Collie :) Lovely lovely name for your boy, and so pleased you got your longed for homebirth..
Relax as much as you can and enjoy all those lovely newborn snuggles.......

Grin Grin Grin

dooscooby · 22/11/2011 13:35

Yey-fantastic news collie, so pleased you got your home birth too Grin. All the best to wiw, izzy and the other front runners!

Can't see who was asking about the cervical stitch (im on my phone) but think it might be worth trying mw and also asking if there is anyway they could ask consultant for you-I'm sure it will be fine and that they would have mentioned it of it was necessary, but best to have the reassurance of asking maybe? I hope they're helpful/reassuring and not dismissive though!

wombatinwaiting · 22/11/2011 14:33

Hi ladies and thanks v much for all your well wishes. I'm pleased to say I'm in a much better frame of mind than I was on Sunday - helped along by moving into acceptance mode rather than fighting the feelings mode.... oh and a couple of chocolate eclairs too!

I don't want to steal anyone's thunder, but we are now down to 5 full termers at the top - I will wait for the happy party to post her own news though! (Hint - it's not me!) I'm fully expecting to hold the baton for a while - wiwjunior doesn't seem to be anywhere near to making an appearance but as I'm not too uncomfortable then I'm happy for him/her to cook a bit longer (or is this just me sticking my head in the sand?!)

Stitch and shell - I have been finding the whole pg pretty scary all the way through, even shopping for the cute baby stuff, so fear not, you are normal and not alone. Any joy in tempting any ladies over from the FO room?

Waves to all and leaves chocolate eclairs! x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/11/2011 14:36

It's not me either...Grin

Blackkat · 22/11/2011 14:54

collie woop woop!!! So delighted to see your name move to the other list. I remember joining the other thread at abt the same time as you and am overjoyed to see such a happy end to what I know has been a tough year for you. You've looked out for so many of us on this and the related threads, it's lovely to hear you're so delighted with the arrival of Isaac. Can't wait to hear more news.

No news from here, so by process of elimination were down to only 3 possibles!

Hope to see more of the FO ers here soon

laylas so sorry to hear about insomnia, it's horrible isn't it. Have you tried milk before bed and when you wake up.

mac hope you're doing ok x

stitchinline · 22/11/2011 14:55

Oooh exciting - going to have to lurk all afternoon now. Not like I am doing any decent work anyway Grin

cep · 22/11/2011 16:09

collie congratulations hon, am so so pleased for you. Grin so glad you managed to get the home birth you wanted.

So sorry to not leave other personal messages things are so frantic at the moment, between bfing and expressing and trying to keep ds1 entertained and not jealous. Good luck all of you due over the next few days.

bigmacandhappymeal · 22/11/2011 18:26

Hi all
It's not me (mores the pity!!) :)

Doing ok thanks - more BP checks later this week and feeling v uncomfortable but nothing else seems to be happening

Huge congratulations to the lovely collie - such brilliant news and like the others wanted to say just how fabulous you have been. All very emotional :)

wiw so glad to hear you're feeling brighter - one day at a time lovely lady and enjoy that baton ;)

Lots of love and ((hugs)) to you all - feeling on the quiet side at the mo

digitalgirl · 22/11/2011 19:57

Lurky lurk lurk Grin

Congrats to all the new arrivals! Have my anomaly scan tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully will be joining you soon.

stitchinline · 22/11/2011 20:04

Good luck tomorrow digi

Promise the stapler doesn't hurt a bit Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 22/11/2011 20:06

Good luck tomorrow Digi - look forward to you joining me at the bottom of the list Smile

LAF77 · 22/11/2011 20:10

Yay digi can't wait to hear the great news after your scan. Looking forward to hearing more birth announcements soon (although terrified for moving further up the list!)

Ireneisback · 22/11/2011 20:17

collie congratulations, and I'm so pleased you managed a home water birth.

cep I'm with you in frantic bf and 3yr old running after mode. I can barely get anything done. Poor ds1 is getting his nose pushed out as bf is so time consuming.

I've had a bit of a blue day today, crying for no reason and feeling a bit hollow. At least I remember from last time that this happens and it goes away. Am also getting sick of visitors and presents. I'll never get time to send thank yous and I think every bugger in the village has now seen me in my dressing gown and seen my tits. My stupid hormones are putting a downer on what should be good things.

Good luck to top of listers. Hiya to everyone else.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/11/2011 22:35

Good luck digi

(((hugs))) for irene x

Freezingmyarseoff · 22/11/2011 22:45

Congratulation to you Collie wonderful news and I love the name. Might have to nick it! Grin Grin
Will have to lurk tomorrow for more news......

dooscooby · 23/11/2011 08:01

Ooh, another arrival -top notch. lara maybe?
Your doing a grand job of baton holding wiw, reckon you can hang onto it until you're good and ready.
Great to see digi heading over, best of luck with the scan.
Major wibbles from me out of the blue yest-huge tears about whether I'll be ok at this giving birth business and worrying that they'll have to tie me to the bed!!Blush

KatAndKit · 23/11/2011 08:06

Hello! 20 weeks today! Am very excited to be coming over here. Have the Big Scan on Monday. Congrats to collie and looking forward to hearing news of more babies. lara I remember when you got your bfp, lovely to see you at full term now.

stitch I am on heparin. Have been since 6 weeks and will be on it until possibly six weeks after delivery. Is only a low dose for prophylaxis (40 wotsits a day) but the injections are quite easy to do and not particularly painful. It's a nuisance and I have some lovely bruises on my belly, but the needles aren't big and they hurt less because they go in fat instead of muscle.

cep · 23/11/2011 08:07

irene i'm with you on the hormones. ds2 is cluster feeding at night, from about 8/9 to after midnight. he finished last night at 0:20 but then thankfully slept through to 6.30. Am sooo tired.

digi good luck

Biscuitsandtea · 23/11/2011 08:13

Yay Kat for 20 weeks Smile. Good luck for Monday and look forward to you joining us here Smile.

Sounds like there are some sterling efforts on the bf front from those on the 'other side' - well done to all involved!!!

Lurking for news of more arrivals....

Blackkat · 23/11/2011 08:41

kat so pleased to hear you are at 20 weeks, brilliant news, so great to see you here.

And digi will be thinking of you for scan day too, so excited to see you here too.

Grin

Blackkat · 23/11/2011 08:45

Cep and Irene glad to hear that all is on on the other side, though knackering. Hope you do get some rest soon. Irene sounds like you are living in a very friendly place bit I can imagine everyone piping round and catching the dressing gown moments is a bit much Smile x x
