IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/11/2011 13:47

Yay cep fantastic news - congratulations!!! Grin Grin Grin

And wow that list is starting to look scary - guess I'd better finish packing that hospital bag soon! collie how's the view at the top?! Smile

laylasmummy09 · 11/11/2011 14:25

Woohoo congrats cep lovely name too its actually my little brothers name Smile my dad and step mums son he's 2 and he's lovely x
On my phone and can't scroll back but will catch up properly later x

dooscooby · 11/11/2011 14:32

Massive congrats cep, wasnt he bang on due date too?
Have we really got 5 fully cooked babies at the top of the list now-wow, thats amazing and made me quite emotional, plus a little scared!

Youremindmeofthebabe · 11/11/2011 15:25

collie's top of the list! And wiw and izz are right up there! How bloody exciting.

Congratulations cep! And Alexander is a beautiful name.

I can't decide if my baby would prefer to listen to 2many DJ's or Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I suspect both may be a little marmite-y. Perhaps I will try TT after all. (I have particularly eclectic musical tastes)Grin

Velvetcu · 11/11/2011 15:27

Congrats cep fab news. Another naughty baby with hand up - it hurts for a while after!!

bigmacandhappymeal · 11/11/2011 15:52

Congratulations cep! Fabulous news!

collie... h&ow is your baton holding arm? Wink

yrmotb what baby could resist 2manydjs?! Start with TT and then crack them out :)

cep and velvet when you say hand up do you mean as in a kind of superman pose?

No exciting news from BigMacTowers. Almost at end of week one of ML - have met with NCT friends, done washing, sorted things, tried not to watch daytime TV and failed to nap during the day. Still feel like I will be going back to work on Monday!

izzy you must get that bag packed! (mine is still not 100% done Blush )

What a lot of little boys we have had recently...

bigmacandhappymeal · 11/11/2011 15:55

Am having bad brian attacks...

Also meant to say:

biscuits am I right in thinking it was your 20 week scan today? Hope all went very well indeed

collie any news on your poor cat?

harassedandherbug · 11/11/2011 15:57

Congratulations cep!! Very very pleased for you all......

Doo will soon be us lovely! I started on RLT today, forgot how gross it is.

Yrmotb why not a bit of everything??! The maybe baby will share your taste.

I'm feeling huuuugely relieved after being signed off work last night. So that's me done!! My spd has been agony and I've been surviving on 3-4 hours sleep a night, and obviously no chance to catch up as at work and when I'm not at work I have dd. I've spent most of today in bed chilling and being looked after by my amazing dh who has taken over pretty much everything in the last few weeks. He's always been good, but has excelled himself.

Oh and I agree with Cep, if this is dc2 or more take painkillers for afterpains. With dd (dc3) I thought I had an infection....it was bloomin' agony.

Blackkat · 11/11/2011 16:03

Awesome news Cep and the fb pics are beautiful. Glad you are feeling ok and that he is feeding now. I love both those names Grin
So pleased to hear your news as you've been there for so many of us on this journey x x x

yrmotb I think tt is a good place to start, this one kicked off to acdc on the radio the other day!

Exciting to see so many of you so near the top! Five fully cooked! Wow!
Get those bags packed.

Blackkat · 11/11/2011 16:05

harassed so pleased you've been signed off x x

Anyone think lead tea might taste nicer than raspberry leaf?!

shellshock7 · 11/11/2011 16:06

Congrats cep and welcome baby Alexander, hope you are both doing well Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 11/11/2011 16:19

Thank you for thinking of me ladies! Smile

Well, we're back. All ok. Still team surprise on the sex thing.

Also got put back to mw led care instead of consultant led care, which is fine. We were CL because DS was a couple of days prem and I had a third degree tear / forceps but they said the prem thing is not a concern (which I agree with) and they've recommended I have an experienced mw present for the birth to check how the tear situation is progressing!

So I guess this means I can now graduate Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 11/11/2011 16:20

And congrats cep on the birth of Alexander Smile.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/11/2011 16:35

Yay for biscuitsandtea's good scan!!! Grin Grin Grin and for being transferred back to midwife led - I was switched back at 36 wks after being CL because of pph last time, which means I can use the ML unit this time too (CL only next door though which I think helped reach agreement) but was really pleased. I tore pretty badly with both DS and DD - not quite third degree though - and not looking fwd to that bit. What do you think the chances are of us getting away with it this time?

collie are you ok? How's your cat?

yrmotb definitely TT I think, although am also partial to a bit of Red Hot Chilli Peppers so maybe try a bit of both? Turn, baby, turn...

Thanks for your messages re the other night, hospital visit always scary and reminded me that things can still go wrong at this stage - especially when baby wouldn't cooperate to start with!! Also v weird because the assessment unit is in with delivery suite and maternity wards and it's the first time I've been to that bit of the hospital since I left holding DD as a newborn...there were people pushing teeny newborns round in those little trolley-cots and visitors waiting with balloons and stuff and I just can't believe that it might be me in a few weeks! This is going to sound crazy after over 4 years of ttc this baby (before and after mc) but I'm feeling distinctly un-ready!! Better go and pack that bag...

LAF77 · 11/11/2011 16:36

Yay biscuits (passes the cap and gown and plays a fanfare and now we are going to lasso you onto the thread)

Blackkat · 11/11/2011 16:47
Biscuitsandtea · 11/11/2011 16:57

I've never been happier to be stapled! Grin

In fact there is probably no other situation in which I would be happy at all about being stapled!!

Am on phone so can't update the list at the mo...

Biscuitsandtea · 11/11/2011 17:23

Just adding (stapling?) myself onto the bottom of the list!

Biscuitsandtea · 11/11/2011 17:24

Aw Man, it feels like when I started in the Freak Out Room and I was decades behind everyone else on the list!

cep · 11/11/2011 18:39

thank you ladies, Grin

bigmac he had his fist by his chin. ds1 had both fists by his chin.

biscuits congrats on the scan. and i know how you feel but (and trust me on this) it goes really quickly i can't believe i'm already on the bottom list.

ahh thanks blackkat

soppy warning.

we've all been through so much on here, more than a lot of people pretty much every person i know. I honestly don't know how i would have coped for the last 9 months and especially the few months from mc to bfp, without so many of you on here. I owe you all so much thanks and i will always be so appreciative of the support and advice i have received from you wonderful ladies. You will all have a place in my heart.

sorry soppy bit over.

Velvetcu · 11/11/2011 20:37

Yay biscuits on your scan and on your official graduation Grin

cep I'm not a soppy person but totally agree with everyone when they write things like that about how wonderful everyone has been Smile

mac yes Eva was superman stylee. Ouch cep to 2 hands up!

Minnie74 · 11/11/2011 21:13

Congrats cep Lovely fb pics x Agree with you on how fab everyone on here has been.

collie any news on your little cat? You must be really worried.

biscuits well done on stapling yourself to the list- it took me ages to dare to do it too! Time will pass quickly (though to be fair my last 5 weeks seem to be taking ages! Smile)

harrassed yay for being signed off (though not for the reason why you had to be) Your dh sounds great. Enjoy some relaxation time.

Finally got started on my bag packing today! Cannot believe the size of maternity pads Shock or the pants I've got to put them in! So sexy Grin Though I'm sure I won't care at all afterwards.

Can't decide when to finish work. My replacement starts on Monday but I've still 2 weeks to go. General consensus at work is finish a week early (next friday) but I actually am enjoying work at the mo and the last week I wouldn't really be doing anything as my replacement will have taken over so I'll just be supporting them. Plenty of chance to sit down! My ankles are huge by the end of the day now though and DP really wants me to finish early. Oh I don't know - never have been though most decisive person! Confused

CollieandPup · 11/11/2011 22:29

cep congratulations darling. I'm so happy for you. Alexander looks beautiful. I've been through the journey from ttc with you and it's so heart warming seeing your little bundle. I hope you're very happy.

biscuit really glad to hear you had a good scan today, and to see you join the list- believe me it goes sooo quickly from 20wks.

minnie it's hard to say when you should finish really. I was so exhausted around 30 weeks that I just had to bring mine forward. But by the time I got to 34 weeks I got some of my energy back and felt I could have easily gone another week or so. Having said that I am also very happy that I finished early. I finished at 36wk, have been off for 3 weeks and I'm not bored at all. apart from a short period around 25 weeks i don't feel I've enjoyed being pg and have generally felt like crap. but I'm actually feeling good now, despite the sleepless nights bcs I can sleep in. Sorry, don't know if that helps.

So, sorry for not caching up properly with everyone else. I'm not myself. Freddie (our cat) is still critical. He's survived the past 2 nights, much to the shock of our vet, but he is not responding to treatment and not improving. We went to see him today and it was just awful. He cried and cried and soon as he saw me. The vet says considering his blood results (which he has never seen so bad) he's actually quite comfortable (said some cats would be unconscious with the toxic levels he has), so we can continue trying treatment, but he really doesn't think he'll make it. I'm just devastated. I know he's only a cat, but he's always been my little baby. We got him and his brother 4 1/2 years ago after we got married and he's always been the cute cuddly one who loves everyone, and is literally like a baby!!! He's the most adorable cat. I just don't know what to do, Im inconsolable and can't bare to think about giving up on him. But is it fair on him???....and also we don't have et insurance! it's my birthday tomorrow too. DH thinks we shouldn't go and see him as I've barely stopped crying since we left the vet at 4, and that it's upsetting for him (the cat) but I just keep thinking if these are his last few days how can I not???? Sad Sad

2011 has not been our year- first our mc, then my nan died, general shit and massive restructure going on at work, DH losing job and now this. I just hope to god this baby comes safely.

wiw so sorry about you missing cat too. I hope he finds his way home soon.

Sorry everyone for the downer!
