Daisybell1 · 23/07/2011 07:41

Thank you Pink and Coconuts for your advice - am finally feeling human again. Pink will look out coconut water in the health food shop but suspect it may be missing in the frozen north... Those sachets just seem to sit in my stomach.

I found the HG thread and your v helpful post Coconuts - that's given me the confidence to just eat/drink what will stay down.

This morning's paranoia is that bump appears to be smaller - although trying to rationalise that by thinking fluid levels must be low due to dehydration - maybe?

Daisybell1 · 23/07/2011 07:43

Ps waves to everyone else Smile

cep · 23/07/2011 08:31

lolly sounds just lovely. Grin

daisy sorry you've been feeling unwell, hope it passes soon. and don't forget is baby is moving round your bump will change shape as well.

lara i can't remember if i said congrats for team blue.

anyone who waxes is brave to me and to wax.......there. is just insane. (in the nicest possible way)

i'm ok, baby seems to be having a quiet 24 hours again which is getting me a little worried but not too worried yet.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 23/07/2011 09:39

Velvet you are a braver woman than me. i was thinking about going for a wax, if self maintenance became too tricky but I won't be going now I have discovered this monstrosity! I wouldn't want to give anyone the need for eyeball bleaching Grin

pink unless I'm really ill or really tired I find it quite hard to sleep in the day. Which is a PITA. At least the oven is done and I won't have to do it once the baby is here and I'm juggling two kids.

urban she sounds just adorable :)

daisy Glad you're beginning to feel better. I still have days where bump is smaller, alot of it depends on the lie of the baby. sometimes i get completely hollow orifices where baby is not filling the space, that looks especially strange!

Waves to everyone else. Shopping day for me. DD is pushing all the wrong buttons today already so i'll be pulling my hair out by this evening.

PinkFondantFancy · 23/07/2011 10:49

daisy I just wanted to second what the others said about bump size. The outiness Of my belly button also changes on a daily basis. Hope you're feeling back to normal v soon

CEP hope the little one wakes up soon so you can stop worrying-it's horrible isn't it. I keep poking mine, am a bit worried it's going to come out with anger ishioos......

Hehe coconuts they give you paper pants if you're having a normal wax so no need to worry about showing someone your latest new arrival Grin I am so impressed with your domestic goddessness-I can't think when my oven was last cleaned Blush

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 23/07/2011 11:07

Do they really give you pants pink ? Tell me about how it works then. I'm so tempted to go, it's really tricky to do it myself now! Need a leg wax and a pedicure too while I'm at it! And I'm a bit thick when it comes to waxing. Whats the difference between a normal wax and a brazilian?

And really, my oven was about to grow legs it was really bad. I was in two minds as to whether to do it or not because of the chemicals but I thought surely once isn't going to harm, I don't plan on doing it every week. Next time though, the professionals are being called!!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 23/07/2011 16:24

Can you keep any crossable extremities crossed for the next couple of weeks? AF just rocked up, so am starting another round of IVF.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 23/07/2011 16:53

I have everything crossed for you dachs apart from my eyes, that would be weird Grin

You are not an impostor either, we are all rooting for you xx

katherine2008 · 23/07/2011 19:37

Hey Dachs - will say a few little prayers for you tonight. I hope you had a lovely break - did you get to Venice in the end? x

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 23/07/2011 20:23

thanks guys :)

katherine I did get to Venice. And it was fab. Apart from the mosquitoes, who decided I was their new fave food and bit me to shreds, even though I'm v v v v allergic. But it was lovely. And the train was nice.

owlbooty · 23/07/2011 21:03

Aha, a fellow mosquito snack. :) I seem to have the same problem, I always get bitten to shreds too and then come out in horrific lumps all over.

I shall cross everything and hope that Very Good Things happen for you very soon Dachs lovely xx

Velvetcu · 23/07/2011 22:26

pink I guess it did hurt a bit more but certainly not anything that major. It didn't help that it was pretty overgrown too!

coconuts a Brazilian is where they take it all off (some leave a bit at the front). You usually lay on your front to have (tmi alert) round your bum done but I couldn't do that this time so had to adopt some interesting positions!!

I have everything crossed for you dachs I really really hope you are diffed again soon

tiggersreturn · 23/07/2011 22:38

Everything crossed for you dachs. And you're not an imposter - you're always welcome and beanbag is saved.

OP posts:
PinkFondantFancy · 24/07/2011 08:45

They do where I go coconuts-you can keep your own pants on if you prefer but if the waxy gunge gets on them it makes a bit of a mess. I just get the hair not covered by pants taken off because I am a complete wimp. Thinking about it, this also doesn't bode well-if I could have an epidural to get a wax done I would!!! Grin I have been avoiding going up until now but as you say, maintenance is getting hard so think I'm going to have that and a pedicure done.

dachs we will be cheering you on every step of the way xx

CollieandPup · 24/07/2011 09:58

Morning lovelies.

Woke up this morning to our cat meowing at the back door to be let in. I swear we need a cat flap! I bet you could hear him 3 blocks away he's soooo loud!

daisy hope you're feeling better? Have you managed to hold in any solids yet?

cep how's minicep today? I hate quiet days!

dachs so sorry AF rocked up but I have everything practically possible crossed for your ivf. No reason to think it won't work because the first round didn't work last time. If good will and thoughts could muster up success then you'd be well and truely updiffed in no time. We're all rooting for you and Mr dachs

All this waxing talking is making me Blush bcs it's a bit like a jungle down there. I just can't tame it!! Blush is anyone else finding there is more growing? I swear there's more of it!!! I've never had a bikini wax, in fact only ever had my legs waxed once for my wedding-too chicken! But after reading your posts and taking a reality check on the growth down there, I'm considering it! How painful is it?... Be honest, don't sugar coat it. If you say not at all and it's like someone is ripping of my skin I will be back to hunt you down

Pains in my stomach seem better. I am still getting pains there everyday but much much milder, and I'm thinking it's indegestion abd it was maybe just really bad last week. Off to get sonme gaviscob later, as other MNers seem to rave about it.

Back is still sore but I did a aqua natal class with the blue rise brigade yoga and pilates last week, so I'm hoping if I keep that up it might improve. Also thinking Ill make an apt with a private physio or chiroc. Dh seeing his chiro next week so I've asked him to mention me. Not sure if he'll see pg women, although doesn't seem the type to say no to £!

Nothing much else going on. Off to spend a small fortune today on a pram. I know we really should spend less but the heart is now set on the cameleon and also having it new. I think we might need to stop for stiff drink for dh on the way home, to ease the pain!

Someone told me you could eat goats cheese cooked the other day, so I ordered some last night with our tapas. It was devine!!! Off to check now that it's ok- ignorance was bliss last night though!! Smile

LaraandLittleBean · 24/07/2011 17:24

Bollox - just typed a HUGE post and the bloody site swallowed it up... Why does it keep doing that?

Very quick summary...

Dachs - got my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Daisy - hope you feel better

Urban - Isabella is a beautiful name. Does your little girl have a middle name? (And sorry if you posted it before and I overlooked).

Collie - may I ask where you bought your buggy from? We're set on the Bee and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the prices at John Lewis are exactly the same as on line once you add all the Maxi Cosi car fittings. Grateful for insight as to where you bought yours from.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/07/2011 19:35

Afternoon all

dachs sorry af turned up Sad. At least you don't have a wait before the ivf, I am keeping everything crossed and will be hoping and praying it works for you first time. I hope we'll be seeing you back here to announce a bfp soon xxx

lolly that's a lovely name Smile

velvet ouch! re the Brazilian! I am intending to book in for a normal bikini wax before holiday but never been brave enough for the full monty! Grin

collie yay re the pushchair-buying! We did finally brave the shops this weekend, some lovely buggies out there although I'm quite restricted by the tiny boot of my Suzuki...currently liking the Icandy Cherry or the Babystyle Oyster - anyone got any opinions/tried using one?

pink and mamap hope you're enjoying your meet up today! Smile

OrangeGloss · 24/07/2011 20:03

Collie the NCT classes still give you 2 weeks, but Sept might be more useful. Sorry you can't get any treatment, I saw an osteopath yesterday who helped far more than my NHS physio did if it's any consolation
Pink and Mamap how was meeting up?
Pink I'm ashamed to say I haven't started my knitting, I'm psyching myself up for it, but I'm seeing mil in a week or so, so I have backup help. We've decided on a girls name, so we're sorted either way now :) how about you with boys?
Lara congrats on a good scan and being team blue :) and good work on the shopping, it's so exciting isn't it
Minnie I was 17+1 when I felt my first kick, and some kind of fluttering before that. I think it was early for a 1st timer though
Coconuts sorry to hear about the vein
Welcome Katherine and Livin make yourselves comfy Grin
Daisy are you feeling any better? I would eat/drink whatever you can manage
Urban I'm so Envy she sounds adorable :) Isabella is a lovely name, a close cousin has the name otherwise it would be my fave
Dachs lovely lady you are not an imposter, you are and continue to be so so welcome. I can only imagine how difficult it must be watching us progress. But, there's nothing to say that this round won't be successful for you, and if there is any decent fate or justice you'll be pg before you know it and joining us x

Ive given up on waxing and have bought a trimmer which I seem to be ok with reaching myself much to dh's relief Grin

I've washed everything, packed a bag and put the cot up. Phew! I'm feeling quite relaxed now :) that is until I go upstairs, see the cot and have a small panic!

mamapower · 24/07/2011 21:59

pink is lovely and we have little fairly big, matching bumps Smile Unfortunately I was trying to ensure service was running smoothly as a member of staff down so I was pretty busy but we managed to catch up with some baby talk in between. Ooooh it was lovely.

cep · 25/07/2011 08:10

morning ladies.

baby was still quiet during the day yesterday, but was a bit more active last night.

glad you and pink had a nice gettogether mamap

i don't think i could ever wax down there. i had my legs done once and that was enough.

My homemade blinds are finished and up, although dh needs to do a couple of things my bits done and i'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Daisybell1 · 25/07/2011 09:15

Morning all

Thank you for all your messages - am much better thanks, not quite eating normally but am getting there.

Lara yay for team blue!

Eyes are watering here from the waxing talk (doesn't bode well for labour, does it?), much prefer the trimmer idea, although not sure how long I'd be able to reach for. I struggled to cut my toenails last night Blush

To all those who've been shopping, we need pushchair details NOW Grin

Orange you're sooo organised with your packing! I've promised OH I'll pack a bag for me as after Friday's experience I've realised that if they had sent me in, I wouldn't have been capable of packing anything, and heaven knows what I'd have ended up with if I'd have left it to OH!

Hurrah for Mamap and Pink's meet-up - sounds fab.

harassedandherbug · 25/07/2011 09:26

Morning!

I also came to post about a quiet baby. I think she's (I always say she!) just moved because I can find the hb with my doppler but in a different position to normal. Hopefully just shifting round to find a comfy position! Please not breech or back2back.......

Cep maybe you should phone mw and get checked over lovely. Will stop you worrying.
Collie Yay for pram shopping! I found a chameleon look a like on Saturday in our local pram shop, will find a link in a min.
Dachs everything crossed for you lovely! And don't ever think about sidling in here either. Lots of love and luck!!
Daisy glad you're feeling better.

I've got a really odd pain that I keep waking up with between my shoulder blades. It eases off during the day, eventually, but bloody hurts! Anyone else getting anything like this?

As for waxing, god no! I can't think of anything worse at the moment. I bought a battery operated razor/trimmer thingy when preg with dd and that's good for having a trim and tidy when you can't see what you're doing. Hand mirror is handy too!

harassedandherbug · 25/07/2011 09:29

This is the bug look a like I saw. It's obviously a blatent copy!!

In my local, and normally useless, pram shop it was £380 with car seat and carry cot.
