Daisy don't panic. 10 weeks (and possibly more likely 12 weeks really if they're late) is a long time!!! At least that's what I'm trying to tell myself giiven we still haven't exchanged on the house we aim to buy, move into, furnish etc before baby arrives...

Maybe I need to put a paper bag next to my bed for those 4am panics I keep haviing!

Good point - 12 weeks is three months and thats AGES!!! Phew, I can relax now.

Plenty of time to move house etc etc (god, you're sooo brave!). All I have to do is paint the bedroom (cream) and persuade OH to remove his stuffed parrot from it

Hello everyone - I've been lurking here for a bit and have been posting on the freak out board... can I join you?

Currently 18wks+ 3 days, heard the heartbeat today with the MW and after a scare with my currently low placenta on Wednesday morning I've been hugely reassured. To the extent that I didn't snatch the offer of a reassurance offer from the MW's hands!

I am amazed and in awe of the knitted sperm and bring gifts of cream teas for all.

Work pals presented me with a fab fab mega massive basket of baby stuff yesterday including a blanket from M&P i have had my beadys on since DS was teeny!! Very pliz.

Owl getting lots of branstons.... seriously quite tight also...!! mininix is still all over the place no clue if bottom or head up!!! Scary so near... cannot believe due in 5 weeks holy cow!!

owl nix and pink I can't believe you're nearly starting Mat leave!! That will make you all roughly 33-35 weeks when you finish right. My plan was to get right to 38 weeks and take 2 weeks leave then mat leave on EDD. Too late you think? What are peoples mat leave plans?

Collie i will be 36 weeks. Worked up to 38 weeks with DS1 and then went two weeks over, but was in nesting heaven... so didnt really matter. This time, exhausted!!

nix and owly I think it is fabulous seeing you both so close to the top. This time last year it just seemed like too much to hope for to see a list with so many of us on it.

bigmac I am trying really hard to stay motivated as I want them to want me to come back IYSWIM but it is v hard!

collie I've been struggling with feeling exhausted the whole way through, and so because my commute is a bit grim and because I've had quite a lot of time off sick so far I thought it was better to leave sooner rather than later. I've got a few weeks Hols first so proper maternity leave kicks in about 33 weeks but I'm finishing at 31. It's my first baby so I have no idea if that's too early to finish but I didn't want to risk it. You plan sounds fine but only thing to check is your company's holiday carryover limits, as if collie pup arrives early you'll have some holiday you didn't take because maternity leave has to start when pup is born.

Ooh a list! I'd forgotten about that, and I'm the only one who hasn't put their due date in. Doh! Must confess I looked at it last week but the thought of adding 10 days onto everyone's dates, with Brian lurking in the background, had me running for cover.

I'm going to "graduate" if you'll all have me, I've been meaning to do it for a week or so, but RL keeps getting in the way, in a good way! I'm trying not to wobble, because I feel better than I've felt for such a long time and am trying to come to terms with the fact that being pregnant might just agree with me

Pink, Collie sorry to hear you're both feeling so exhausted. Pink pleased that the not working kicks in soon.

collie re mat leave, it's an entirely personal thing, but my reflexologist (who holds guru status in my opinion) has coached me to believe that being calm and relaxed pre-birth will make coping with labour easier (not, I hastedn to add, necessarily the labour) and should improve how quickly you feel normal afterwards. I'm going to stick it out until at least 35 (bit wierd to be thinking this at the moment, bcs today would've been my last day at work for approaching mc DD) take 3 weeks leave and start mat leave at 38 wks.

Cep your bathtime baby movements sound lovely.

Pink we are starting-maternity leave twins! I've also got 4 weeks left, for the same reasons, have been on part-time for ages now and my CMW wants me off with a planned departure, rather than risking staying too long and being signed off sick near the end.

Must confess, I am looking forward to the time to nest though!!!

PS OH has just gone out so we're in Operation Stealth Girls Clothes My CMW gave me a bag of girls clothes at my appointment on Monday which are still in the boot of my car. I need to have a look through and see what's there - my only glance at them said PINK!!!!
