is anyone else feeling a little left out by the first-timers due in December thread? This will be my second DC (DS will be 3.5). I think I'm due on 15th December.

Dolly, do you think the discharge could just be leftovers from your cervix closing? That happens at about sevenish weeks I think?

angelene · 13/05/2011 06:34

Hi dolly, I don't really have any idea what it might be but I do know that if you're worried to get to the doctors. Worrying is no good for you either way and I'm sure the doctor will reassure you. Good luck x

dollyshouse · 13/05/2011 07:29

had it again this morn when wiped, the tiniest tiniest bit on the paper, have spoken to a neighbours daughter who is a midwife last night and she said that implantation bleeding can last up to 12 weeks or like you said littlemissflustered the cervix as this happens at 7/8 weeks, plus have had a little uncomfortable tiny cramp feeling to left of my tummy kind of like feeling when you want to go to the loo for a number 2 (god pregnancy leaves you no dignity does it Blush, exactly as I did with my DS and DD only a few weeks earlier with these but when I lost my last baby I remember thinking that I hadn't experienced this discharge or uncomfortable feeling at all and I wondered then if something was wrong so I feel better in a way that I have had it if that makes sense???

harassedinherpants · 13/05/2011 09:39

dolly If I were you I'd speak to your mw and see if you can get a scan at epu, just to be on the safe side and mainly to set your mind at rest. It's prob nothing, but having had 2 mc's recently I'd want to be checked over if I were you!

woman hello! I also have a 21yr old and 20yr old.....and an almost 5yr old. I can't remember the first two prgs either, except that they were easy and I had ms! Unlike dd and this time!

sevendwarves · 13/05/2011 11:00

dollys I agree with other posters, it can't hurt to try and get an early scan to reassure you.

purple you're not the only young person here, I'm 25.

woman Hi I saw your other thread! Hope everyone is getting excited now.

purple and seven I'm 24 too, so there's a couple of us!

So... I'm feeling a bit worried today. Compared to being PG with DD my symptoms have been very mild, but the last few days all nausea etc has disappeared. I'm 7+3... I don't know if it's just because it's not it was before that it's worrying me.

womanwholivedinashoe · 13/05/2011 15:10

Thanks LW, just lol!!!

Ladies :( every pregnancy is different and I swear its done to a man to worry us constantly throughout our pregnancies. In 6 pregnancies none have been the same and it drives you to despair. I'm freaked out this time as I don't feel pregnant but know that I am??? If that makes sense. No breast heaviness, no nausea, had all of this with my little one who is only 6 months old so its not as if i've forgotten lol.

Pregnancies are strange but then I guess its what also gives us our unique DC.

My 6 month old kicked me throughout my pregnancy never got a moments sleep and now ??? he still has all the energy in the world and can't stop flaying around ADHD anyone ??? bit young perhaps lol!

womanwholivedinashoe · 13/05/2011 15:11

that was done BY a man lol!

sevendwarves · 13/05/2011 18:18

This pregnancy is definitely completely different to when I was expecting DS. My boobs are really heavy and my nipples are really sensitive, they werent at all last time. The other difference is that thankfully that I havent had any sickness yet and I'm nearly 10 weeks so surely would have had some if I was going to. Also I majorly craved junk food last time, whereas this time I've only been craving fruit so far.

hiya. i've now long found out i'm pregnant. i'm due 30th dec. this is my 3rd pregnancy. I have a 3 year old son and my youngest son was stillborn last year, so i'm very worried to begin. I've just had a early scan due to bleeding, but all seems fine. congratulations to everyone else who is pregnant. X

LaWeasel · 13/05/2011 20:37

On the plus side, I am feeling crap this evening so that has cheered me right up.

Pregnancy is a strange strange thing.

seven I am the same with not really wanting junk this time too. I fantasisied about maccyd's with DD, so had one soon after I found out I was PG this time around thinking it would be mana from heaven. Really struggled to eat it!

Same as last time I still love meat, apples, buttered bread and crisps though...

LaWeasel · 13/05/2011 20:38

hi vickie I'm really sorry to hear about your son. Hope everything goes well this time. Will they be giving you extra scans etc for reassurance?

vickie984 · 13/05/2011 20:41

hiya i Dont know what they are planning, i know they've dont want to see me again will i'm 12 weeks. I think they will, i'm at 2 different hospitals and neither of them know what the others doing.

LaWeasel · 13/05/2011 20:46

Very confusing! I imagine if you pushed a bit they would be okay with extra appointments toward the end and be understanding.

sevendwarves · 13/05/2011 22:34

Hi vickie I'm really sorry about your son. If I were you I'd push for extra appointments towards the end. Do they know what caused it so that extra checks can be made to prevent it happening again? I completely understand if you don't want to answer.

Even just having pre-eclampsia last time ive been told I'll have extra checks during the last trimester.

hi girls, well went to the EPU yesterday and had a transvaginal scan and an ultrasound scan not good news, struggled to see anything and asked if I has wind and constipation?? eventually found a gestational sac measuring 17mm but no yolk or fetal pole? have to go back in a week as unsure of dates, last period first day either 19th march or 26th march and cycles approx 30 days, got a BFN around 11th april and a BFP on 20th april. I did a preg test last night and immediately got a strong BFP and I still have morning sickness and sore breasts. No cramping, no discharge today or bleeding. Am thinking the worst, she said she couldn't call it an embryonic preg for sure as couldn't see properly because of wind Blush and unsure of dates so could be too early? she was 90% sure it didn't look good and said that if the sac measured 20mm she would be 100% sure, had good cry last night but am ok surprisingly, don't know if it's because I've been here before (MMC at 12 weeks was devastated) so was conscious not to get hopes up also cos I am 44 or if it's because at the back of my mind there is still a glimmer of hope no matter how small? anyway will let you know how I get on next Friday, either way will be better to find out sooner rather than later as it was last time, I think that's what made it so devastating. Gave my DD and DS massive kisses and cuddles last night made me feel better! Grin

sevendwarves · 14/05/2011 16:15

Sorry dollys, what a long agonising wait until next week. I really hope it all turns out ok for you.

OP posts:
dollyshouse · 14/05/2011 16:51

thanks seven me too Hmm but am thinking worst so will be nice surprise if not, I am dead grateful for my DS and DD so am luckier than a lot and taking into account my age, this was a surprise baby and although am sad I know I'll be ok as have a great support network, roll on next friday at least will hopefully know then one way or the other!

harassedinherpants · 14/05/2011 18:45

Oh dolly I'm so sorry.

I'd be thinking the worst in your shoes too, I think it's a defence mechanism. I have my fingers firmly crossed for you for next week. Thinking of you lovely.

babychoochoo · 15/05/2011 10:04

Oh Dolly im so sorry to hear that, i will be pray for you for next Friday. Why is life so shit sometimes. Big hugs to you xx

goodnightmoon · 15/05/2011 12:31

dollyshouse - i'm so sorry. i hope you get good news but agree i'd think the worst and let anything else be a bonus. it sounds to me like the embryo should be there by that point. I think my sac was measuring around 19mm and embryo was 9.4mm at 6 weeks 5 days. My last period started March 19. I'm still really worried myself though - I see this as my own personal "danger week" for miscarriage.

sevendwarves · 15/05/2011 14:02

Sounds like the sooner we get this week over with the better.

womanwholivedinashoe · 15/05/2011 17:53

Dolly thinking of you it must be an agonising wait :( I can only imagine but try to remain hopeful.

goodnightmoon thinking of you too :( let us know how you get on please!!

goodnightmoon · 17/05/2011 07:41

hi ladies, i'm bumping us this thread as it has gone a bit quiet after Dollys' sad news.

I am in full blown paranoia this week but am just trying to take it day by day.

how's everyone else doing?

sevendwarves · 17/05/2011 08:51

I'm looking forward to tomorrow as I've finally got my booking appointmen. Hopefully it won't be long until I get my scan date then.

Has anyone put on any weight yet? I've put on 2lbs so far.
