is anyone else feeling a little left out by the first-timers due in December thread? This will be my second DC (DS will be 3.5). I think I'm due on 15th December.

Hi all

Just like goodnightmoon Im tentatively joining in... 7 weeks and 4 days. Due on the 17th of December. I have previously had a mmc found out at 12 weeks that baby passed away at 5/6 weeks.
On a positive note i had my early reassurance scan on monday and we were so excited to see a little heart beat...
So lets hope and pray all of us have successful pregnancies.

Goodnightmoon, good luck for your scan, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

TreeHuggerMum1 · 04/05/2011 13:25

Dollyshouse, I fell down the stairs when I was six weeks pregnant with my 2nd and explained to the midwife I was beside myself and she arranged an early scan at 8 weeks to be sure all was well. Maybe have a word...
Good luck to you and Goodnight.

LaWeaselIsOupaLaDouffe · 04/05/2011 15:50

Hi everyone, hope the early scans go okay.

I was sick for the first time this morning, sound silly, but was not as bad as I was expecting (more like at the end of last pg where i would feel better afterwards instead of still nauseous) so hopefully everything is going well.

I'm stuck with relying on my rapidly expanding waist (yes, seriously, already?!) so have been shopping today and got some unbelievably cute teeny tiny baby gros since we don't have enough left over from DD.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 04/05/2011 17:49

Welcome Newbies :)

Stopped upchucking for now :)

DP is home and so happy, Will sound very ungrateful now but all he brought me back was half a bloody mug! Made me cry - blooming hormones

LaWeaselIsOupaLaDouffe · 04/05/2011 17:54

half a mug?!

How did he manage that?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 04/05/2011 18:14

He brought it - it says on the front I lost all my money in las Vegas so i could only afford half a cup! makes me laugh he didn't even gamble.

dollyshouse · 04/05/2011 21:36

treehugger thanks for that I have asked doc for an early scan so fingers crossed, it will reassure me definately! is everyone still having sex??? I mentioned to someone at work today that couldn't wait to get home and ...you know.... cos kids at sleepover at mums and she looked horrified that I shouldn't even be contemplating it in my condition esp when worried about my last MMC which has made me panic all the more as I thought the mans do-da didn't go anywhere near the baby etc????? plus doing it made me relax about stuff!!!

sevendwarves · 04/05/2011 22:32

Hi to today's newcomers.

dollys we still are but not as much as we're both a bit paranoid! DH said that my belly is bigger already and he's terrified of hurting me bless him. The cervix seals with the mucus plug at 7 weeks so nothing can get near baby.

Good luck to everyone having early scans. I've got my first pregnancy-related GP appointment tomorrow after waiting over 3 weeks due to the bank holidays. I'll be glad to get it over with then hopefully things will seem to speed up a bit!

Dolly We are although not as much I think it's because we want to know everything is alright.

Seven hope your GP appointment goes alright :)

So nice having my man home to snuggle with last night.

Feel nauseous but because I've not eaten anything yet. Hopefully won't have an upchucking day today like yesterday :(

sevendwarves · 05/05/2011 11:37

Morning all. My appointment went fine, he said that the risk of pre-eclampsia decreases with subsequent pregnancies unless you've changed partners (which I haven't) and that I'll be more closely monitored during the last trimester this time. I've got my MW booking appointment on Weds 19th.

dollyshouse · 05/05/2011 14:33

great news sevendwarves am really pleased for you x

UntamedShrew · 05/05/2011 14:38

Can I join please? 3rd baby, 2nd pregnancy (1st one was twins in case that isn't obvious)

My DTs nanny who has the boys 2 days a week told me yesterday morning that she is pregnant with her first! Due 3 weeks before me. I told her last night that I am too, all very odd.

The boys (2) were running around saying baby, baby, baby and seemed happy, anyway Hmm

LittleMissFlustered · 05/05/2011 18:55

3rd here. Due somewhere at the end of December, not had that argument with the midwife/sonographer yet:D I've not had any appointments or scan dates through, but am not surprised.

LaWeasel · 05/05/2011 19:00

Very odd coincidence Shrew I'm sure I saw a thread in employment about that same issue, was it you or is it an even odder coincidence? Hi littlemissflustered! Congratulations all around. Smile

Soo... jeans. Not fitting very well.

Is that normal this early?!

purpleflower123 · 05/05/2011 19:19

Hi, can I join in?

I'm anywhere between 6 and 9 weeks pregnant although I think I'm more likely to be 7 weeks. This is my 4th pregnancy and hopefully my 3rd baby.

My first was a mmc, I then went on to have DS and 2years and 1 day later had DD. They are now 4.7 and 2.7. I'm not sure when and how to tell them, DS was so small when I got pregnant with DD I didn't really say anything.

I'm already a clothes size bigger, my boobs are huge and agony, I'm grumpy as hell and shattered.

I had my booking in app last night, she took my blood pressure, asked some q's and referred me to the community midwives. I also told her about having alot of cramps and pains I can't remember from DS and DD but she basically said theres nothing she could do as I've had 2 healthy pgs since my mmc.

Darciesmumandbump2: I have you on my FB, Congratulations Grin

DarciesmumandBump2 · 05/05/2011 19:22

Ooo purple - who are you? Send me a clue on FB :) and Congrats to you x

purpleflower123 · 05/05/2011 19:22

LaWeasel: I had to buy a size bigger jeans and even they feel a bit tight! It might have something to do with me not going to the gym since the beginning of march and generally eating everything in sight though Blush

DarciesmumandBump2 · 05/05/2011 19:23

Purple it's prob really obis to me who you are but I have mush for brains at the mo :)

purpleflower123 · 05/05/2011 19:24

Sent, I really hope thats you or I will look crazy lol

DarciesmumandBump2 · 05/05/2011 19:27

It's me hehe Congrats :) so what's your EDD? How are your symptoms?

angelene · 05/05/2011 20:47

Hi all

I'm due on Christmas Day with DC2, although I'm feeling rather tentative at the moment as I had a (very) early mc a couple of months back and I'm feeling dog rough today with a bit of a temperature which is worrying me a bit (not sure if there's a reason for that concern or am I just panicking unnecessarily?)

DD will be six if all goes according to plan so I must admit I feel like a bit if a novice again it's been so long!

I've been feeling nauseous but haven't been sick yet, but just really hungry all the time and never really sure what to eat to get rid of the kind of furry taste in my mouth. No cravings as yet.

I really hate these first few weeks, the worry and the not being able to tell anyone. Will be telling my mum on Saturday but pretty much everyone else will have to wait, including dd!

sevendwarves · 05/05/2011 20:51

Thanks dollys

Hi to today's newcomers.

purple and darcies how strange but lovely that you know each other!

sevendwarves · 05/05/2011 20:54

angelene sorry about your mc. You're not alone in hating the first few weeks. I'm so exhausted at the moment and just really fed up of having no energy, I'm even napping in the afternoon while DS is asleep!

OP posts:
angelene · 05/05/2011 21:10

Hi sevendwarves, I know what you mean - I am definitely feeling six years older than when I was last pregnant!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 06/05/2011 08:25

Angelene sorry about your prev mc. I know how you feel about being a novice my DD will be almost 7 when Merlin comes along.
