Anyone due in July?

Hi all,

Not seen a July thread on here so I?m hoping I?m not alone. 27+3 today and so far I have bought everything I could think of! I have a scan later on this afternoon. I?m hoping all will still be ok.
I?m looking forward to giving up work for mat leave shortly. Work is really annoying the hell out of me. My male bosses are so not bothered with giving me any special treatment whatsoever so I?m still carrying a laptop bag everyday in and out of work weighing 3st And I won?t mention that I have to carry this up 25 stairs into the building everyday? Grr

Anyone else fed up and wishing bubba?s due date was here already?

Hi there, congratulations on your pregnancy :)

July is a fab time to have a baby, 2 of mine were born in July so I may be biased of course Wink.

July thread is here for you.

All the best :) xxxx

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 11:36

I'm due in July ann 26+6

NewMummy5July2011 · 18/04/2011 11:37

Hi I'm due in July too - 5th. I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow.

I've bought loads too - went out and bought some stuff from Boots and got my free baby changing bag.

I'm with you with work - my work is annoying as hell too but in different ways to you - just bored and can't be bothered with anything! Feels like I've been pregnant forever now, and I also can't wait for our little bean to arrive now!

I hope your scan goes well!

VioletV · 18/04/2011 11:42

Thanks Cherrypie what a massive thread. Hope no-one minds me starting a new one up!

prolificwillybreeder is this your first?

  • I'll try that again! I'm due in July, am 26+6. I would definitely have a word with HR about how you are being treated at work if that's an avenue you can go down? I can't wait for mat. leave to start, have awful SPD :(
prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 11:46

No, my 2nd only a year and a bit between these two!
The July thread is huge isn't it! It's going to be a busy July!
Hope your scan goes well.
Is anyone else exhausted?
Newmummy- that Boots bag is great isn't it?

VioletV · 18/04/2011 11:54

Newmummy Thank you x I'm due the 15th it honestly can't come any sooner! What's the baby bag like? And do you knwo what you're having? I'm having a girl :)

VioletV · 18/04/2011 12:00

prolificwillybreeder Sory to hear you have SPD it's just another thing to deal with Work is a long line of issues right now the wuicker I go the better let's just say I'll be changing job roles when I come back as this wasn't what I signed up for and I'm starting to think they;re applying pressure to see how I can cope.., and well you know the rest!

I am exhausted beyond exhausted. Tomorrow I'm driving over to Ireland for a week off to see the family (yay) Anyone got anything nice planned for the easter break?

OP posts:
prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 12:01

It's quite a good bag, has a change mar inside, lots of pockets and insulated side pockets. I am not on promo here I promise!
I'm having another boy! So excited. Is this your first VioletV?

Smiler80 · 18/04/2011 12:23

Hey NewMummy5July2011 I'm due on the 5th with my first too! Whereabouts are you?

VioletV · 18/04/2011 12:23

Haha yes first and last! Aw bless have you thought of any names? I like Elle but my family aren't happy with the name so I'm still trying to figure out what to call her.

She is forever kicking and punching me these days. I never get a reaction when I'm in the bath but if I drink tea or I'm driving playing music she goes mad. Not sure if it's a good mad or a bad one mind lol

OP posts:
prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 12:24

I understand my work have been similar and frankly the sooner I go the better.
Aw have a lovely time! hope the drive to Ireland goes well.
Been a bit manic here so we are having a relaxed wkend and going to the seaside. Well as relaxed as can be with a ten month old!

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 12:37

Ella? Elspeth?
I think we have a name but I think it's a case of see what he looks like.
DP and I are trying to sort his paternity leave out- he has to give specific dates so I'll probably end up with 2 weeks on my own again like with DS. It was awful :(

Sounds like your having a tea drinking music lover hehe!
DS moved loads in the bath but this one goes mad if I drink anything cold and fizzy!

VioletV · 18/04/2011 12:48

Well at least you have your DP. Mine walked out in Jan and wasn't that long ago I found out why.. For another woman. What sort of woman gets with someone who can not only cheat but walk out on a pregnant woman?! Oh well. Better off without trash in my life they're welcome to eachother!

Ella is gorgeous but when I think about it I'm forever singing that Rihanna song Umbrella, ella, ella, ella...

Have you had any cravings? I've only recently got them and it's lucozade sport. I'm drinking at least 5 a day Blush

NewMummy5July2011 · 18/04/2011 15:44

Hi Smiler80 how exciting! I'm based in Bath - whereabouts are you?

VioletV - I'm having a girl too! Have you come up with any names yet? My DH and I are constantly arguing about the names we like best - we can't seem to agree on anything!

prolificwillybreeder - I'm so sorry you have been suffering with SPD - that must be truly awful. I've got a bad backache which is doing my head in, but I won't complain anymore as that is so much worse. LOVE the Boots bag - it's really lightweight and think it will do the job - can't be arsed in spending a fortune on one!

Smiler80 · 18/04/2011 16:47

I'm in London - also having a girl :)

What's this news about a free Boots bag? I've just spend my first pennies on a couple of tiny little baby tops and trousers but that's all I've got so far... Planning to do some more shopping end of May when my mum's visiting. Although would be happy to get a head start if it includes freebies Grin

NewMummy5July2011 · 18/04/2011 17:40

Congratulations Smiler! How lovely! To get the free boots bag, you need to sign up to the Boots parenting club - you can do it online here. Basically you get 10 points on your advantage card for every £1 you spend on baby stuff. Once you've signed up, they will send you some vouchers for various bits and bobs, and one of them is a voucher for a free boots changing bag when you buy any pack of pampers. If you don't have an advantage card, you can sign up for one at the same time. here is the link:

www.boots.com/en/Mother-Baby/Parenting-Club/

I love freebies - Bounty is good for that stuff too!

ShazGJ · 18/04/2011 18:54

Hi ladies I'm due 8th July didn't join the other thread as by the time I found it seemed very established and difficult to keep up with. This will be our first dc and we are keeping it a surprise if it's a boy/girl. I am in Stoke On Trent and am 31.

ShazGJ · 18/04/2011 18:58

Bold:prolificwillybreeder - I also have SPD was given crutches last week which are helping a bit, also brought a support belt butvits uncomfortable when sitting down. What has your GP/ MW suggested to you?

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 19:16

Shaz- it's hideous isn't it :(- my physio also said crutches but with my 10 month old DS it just isn't an option :( I can't have a band either as I've done too much damage to the front of my pelvis. something about rubbing against the bone?

Oh VioletV I am so sorry what an utter prat your p was to do that to you ( I wrote prat but I mean something much ruder). I like Elle, if that's the name you want then go for it. No regrets and all that jazz.
I can't believe I only have 13 weeks to go tomorrow. It's going so so fast. Does anyone think so?
I'm enjoying the sunshine we are having here though. Not that I can venture too far.
Got started on my industrial strength Gaviscon today. Had bad heartburn with both my boys now. There might be something in that old wives tale about heartburn meaning hairy baby as DS had a full head and he never lost any!

How was your scan VioletV?

Oh don't feel bad about moaning Newmummy, this thread should be for moans and groans too! It is truly horrible but I'm trying to stay perky!
The bag is fab isn't it? I do love a bag with a lot of storage!

Is anyone in maternity bras? If so where did you get them? I am depressed at the granny-ness of them and the price!

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 19:17

Oh my word epic post! Sorry!

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 19:20

Not really had any cravings- a cold can of the forbidden coke and a brie, bacon and avocado baguette would be amazing though!

Smilier- I haven't bought anything clothes wise yet. I think I may of finally decided on a going home outfit from JoJoMamanBebe though!

ShazGJ · 18/04/2011 19:36

I have been in maternity bras since first trimester, growing achey boobs was my first pregnancy symptom. My most recent one was from Mothercare it is by panache and although has no underwiring has alot of support and doesn't look like a granny bra passion killer. They only do to a G cup though so hoping I don't grow much bigger Blush

DomesticGoddess31 · 18/04/2011 19:41

Hi all, I'm due 18th July, I never joined the other thread either...way too big!

I just got some hotmilk nursing bras from a little independent lingerie shop near me who do a brilliant measuring service. I was dubious at first as i was wearing a 34C and she put me in a 32E Shock but its so comfy, am v impressed. Can't believe I was squashing my poor pair into such a bad fitting bra before!

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 19:46

Hi domesticgoddess I'm due the day after you!
I love the hotmilk ones but bit out my price range I think.
I'm going to get measured next week- I was a 34F by the end of my last pregnancy eek!
Will check the mothercare bras out Shaz. Funnily enough it was my first pregnancy symptom too!
