Hi all,

Not seen a July thread on here so I?m hoping I?m not alone. 27+3 today and so far I have bought everything I could think of! I have a scan later on this afternoon. I?m hoping all will still be ok.
I?m looking forward to giving up work for mat leave shortly. Work is really annoying the hell out of me. My male bosses are so not bothered with giving me any special treatment whatsoever so I?m still carrying a laptop bag everyday in and out of work weighing 3st And I won?t mention that I have to carry this up 25 stairs into the building everyday? Grr

Anyone else fed up and wishing bubba?s due date was here already?

July 21st here. I vary between feeling like I am not pregnant and totally energetic to so exhausted and heavy that I cannot not fathom going for 3 MORE MONTHS (seems impossible).

I went up 4 bra sides within the first 14 weeks and that at least has slowed, but the bump is growing like made.

And I am having a boy.

Nice to meet you all.

:)

sparklytoes · 18/04/2011 20:16

HI all, I'm due July 30th, don't know what I am having.

Anyone else feel like theyc an't be bothered with work at the moment, I feel like a heffalump! Don't know if I can wait until 36 weeks which is when I think I will go off...
Also gone up about 4 bra sizes, I am actually scared of my own boobs at the moment - they are enormous!!
good to meet you all
x

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 20:40

VV- glad scan went well, bless her sticking her tongue out hehe :)
Sparkly- I'm sorry I did chuckle at I am actually scared of my own boobs. I understand completely, I can't believe how heavy mine are, they weigh a ton!
Damsel- I'm having a boy too! I am also exhausted but every now and then get a good day and kid myself I'm fine!

Right I'm off to eat biscuits watch tele for a while.

Is anyone else a second/ subsequent pregnancy?

Smiler80 · 18/04/2011 20:43

Thanks for the Boots info - I've signed up now! I suspect baby stuff will be a regular feature on the shopping list so any points collecting scheme is probably a good one :)

hilltop666 · 18/04/2011 21:05

firstsupermum · 18/04/2011 21:32

hi all, i am due on the 18th of july, i am 27weeks tomorrow, i bought everything i need except double pushchair, as i have already 2years old baby, but i am looking for the most small and lightweight ones, as i am living in the 2nd floor and realy dont like the big ones, also because i am not driving so i will be in public transport, its a bit hard. good luck for all the bump mums.

jenga079 · 18/04/2011 21:59

Ooh, can I join you too please? I'm expecting my first on 27 July. Can't wait!

firstsupermum · 18/04/2011 22:02

hi jenga079, congratulation, do you know if you have a boy or girl, did you bought anything,

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 22:34

Thanks DD! I aim to please :)
Firstsuperman- snap! I also need a double buggy, live upstairs and don't drive thus need something small.

Right I must really go to bed! I seem to spend all day tired then perk up at about 10pm grr!

Night bumpy ladies :)

prolificwillybreeder · 18/04/2011 22:35

*congrats jenga!

jenga079 · 19/04/2011 08:09

Thank you ladies. It's a boy. We haven't bought anything yet as we're also moving house so DP is holding me back from Mothercare until we've moved. This means he's reaping the rewards of my nesting instincts: There isn't an item of dirty clothing in the whole flat, I'm baking every few days & dust has been banished!

We've been lucky enough to have buggy, Moses basket & loads of clothes donated to us though so I'm naively thinking we only have to buy a cot & nappies (don't disillusion me until after the move!)

I know exactly what you mean by being scared of your own boobs. I always thought I wanted a cleavage, didn't realise what other agonies they came with! Anyone else also got awful indigestion?!

RingEir · 19/04/2011 09:22

Hi All, I am 25 + something, can never seem to keep track of exactly how pregnant I am! But due a baby boy on July 27th. We're probably going with the name Killian, but that's about all I've organised. Haven't bought anything at all! And reading these posts is making me think I'd better get my skates on. This is my first, and I don't really know what to get, so need to do some research.

I know what you mean about work, I really feel like I can't be bothered now either. But they are being nice to me so can't complain.

VioletV · 19/04/2011 09:47

Smiler80 whereabouts in landannnnn are you? I've just moved from Camden to herts but I'm moving to Kent (Dartford way) shortley. Anyone else close?

RingEir morning Where are you from? I have a feeling you're in Eire (could just be your user name I'm going by)
Jenga congrats :)

Thanks for the Botts link I shall join up today xx

Ah VV - glad the scan went well. Must have been exciting to see her so happy in the mothership! Those are lovely names! So far I've got Layla, Molly, Amelia and Chloe.

Sparkly - your post abour boobs also made me laugh - I've grown to a 34FF and am scared no nursing bras will even fit when I need them!

Congratulations Jenga - it's so exciting isn't it? It's our first too and I can't wait until our little bean arrives! I sympathise with the indigestion...have stinking hearburn all day every day. I drink gaviscon and chew loads of gum which seems to help!

Nice to meet everyone and read about how your pregnancies are all going! :-)

JumpingForJuly · 19/04/2011 10:57

Hello everyone,
I'm due the 7th July, so Im 28+5 with my first baby- a girl Smile
Just booked a 3D scan for 2 weeks time, was trying to resist but can't wait until July to see her again!x

prolificwillybreeder · 19/04/2011 11:20

Hi all, ooh 3D scan JFJ! I really want one of those! DP is harder to convince!
It would amazing to really see what's going on in there!

Newmummy: I'm being measured next week, slightly worried about how large these melons are going to be!

VioletV · 19/04/2011 11:58

NewMummy5July2011 I love Layla but my parents aren't so keen! Chloe is lovely.

I can't recommend Rennie soft chews highly enough. They are a God send as I suffer everyday with heartburn etc.

Hi JumpingforJuly Congratulations. Have you any names either? x

OP posts:
jenga079 · 19/04/2011 16:08

Ooh RingEir, we're due on the same day.

Congrats everyone. I love all your name ideas. I'm currently planning to go really traditional... Albert, Alfred or Edgar maybe?

firstsupermum · 19/04/2011 19:08

prolificwillybreeder we have the same problem, so if you fins any pushchair thats good please let ma know, I had a lovely day, a dit tired is well with my 2yrs baby.
oh, i am having a boy is well, i think a bought everything that i will need, i also bought the staff for my hospital bag for myself, i was buying every month something so that i will not be thinking about it in the last months, i am relax now, i bought most of the staff from ebay, its a really good bargain.
good luck for all of the bump's mum.

prolificwillybreeder · 19/04/2011 19:08

I think we are thinking the same on the traditional name front jenga, I like Archie but recently met an adorable Noah!

You know I said I didn't have cravings? I need a Chinese takeaway I actually need it, prawn crackers and sweet and sour sauce and mixed spicy egg fried rice with a large coke mainly!

I'm having cheese, mushroom, onion and ham frittata. This does not come close :(

firstsupermum · 19/04/2011 19:13

oh, thats sound realy testy, i love prawn, i cant stop eating it.

ShazGJ · 19/04/2011 20:29

We are looking at traditional names too, Heather for a girl or Alistair for a boy. We have most of the big stuff: pram, Moses basket, car seat. Etc.
Not even thought about my hospital bag yet suppose that's the next thing to tackle.

Bold: jenga - I am also looking to move house before baby is born, stressing a bit about packing as struggling to lift anything because of SPD and don't trust DH to do it as I am convinced I'll never find anything again Hmm

Just booked some annual leave before maternity officially starts so last day of work is 1st June Grin. Also booked a few odd days so don't do a full week now before then! Was originally planning to last until 10th June but think that was a bit optimistic.
