We have called ds Vincent, goes by Vin. Means victorious. Family name, suits him. Everyone loves it, it seems from the trendies to the taxi drivers of our fair city and it is still pretty rare far as I've seen so far. Got a bit of that retro thing going on I guess. Happy name hunting, we loved doing it.

We didn't do Rohan (means healer, is an important peak in Sri Lanka) but came close.

I like Joel myself. B/c of the story behind the name. Ditto 'Levi', son of Leah and one of the 12 tribes of Israel.

I like isaac, but DH has said no to bible names! no to alternative names like korbin/caleb etc.

no to anything which will make DS sound like a bit girlie. - ie/ jesse etc.

DS2 is Zachary. Quite unusual as others tend to be Zak. He will answer to Zach, but prefers his name in full.

I also have a Jacob, which is not very common, but is a lovely solid traditional name.

munz · 28/10/2005 11:55

tinker - it's one of my choice as well.
