DH likes ur traditionals/more common - Joesph, Jack, Joshua etc.

and we're struggaling to find a common ground. can anyone help?

we have a middle name of Paul

He's frightened of a bit of teasing! And he's in the army? Tell him to stop being such a girlie wuss.

Used to know a boy called Kenzie (short for Mackenzie). I've always liked it. I wanted to call ds Tor but dh said it sounded like a dog's name.
Scottish boys names:
Gordon
Ross
Callum
Graham
All quite traditional!

Gabriel

I don't think it matters if you use the same name as another family member. Ds1 has my dad's middle name and ds2 has the same name as one of my brothers.

munz · 28/10/2005 13:42

lol - ok then jayden's back off the table.

Lorcan
Isaac

Flinn/Flynn

I'm rubbish at boys names. but it's true the more traditional names are less common now - my friend called her baby John recently and I don't know any others! i like John, David (DH's name, such a nice name), Frederick (Freddy is so cute), Charles etc.

munz · 28/10/2005 13:45

hm2 - do u have a kai/korbin? - I do like those but DH is def not gonna budge on them

frasier's staying on thou for now.

Ds was very nearly John.

homemama · 28/10/2005 13:47

John, Patrick, Robert, all strong names. If you call him John you can give him Johnny as a family name or Jack as that's were it comes from. Jack as itself is very 'new'.

zippitippitoes · 28/10/2005 13:49

Conrad
Collum
Anthony
Kenneth

I like jamie as well but hate Jim which is prob what he'd be called isn't it - as DB's friend was a jamie/jim.

hm2 - I like them.

I think this baby's gonna be called baby/it/oi/son for the first month (only kiding on the oi/it b4 u all pounce!)

I love Jack - that's my dad's actual and only name and he was born in 1931! But agree homemama, that was very unusual until recently.
