Morning!

penguinsmummy - hope things are going well for you today... loopy - I know I'm new here, but I think she's having a baby Grin

ivy - hope things are moving for you soon.

orange yummy yummy mini magnums... not quite as naughty as big ones, so you can eat more of them!! 'Cept it's gone a bit chilly for them now.. Owl whaddaya reckon you will be "tidying" today?!

alba - yep, abundance of prawns/haddocks/blue whales still in the freak out room!

loopy - the SCH hasn't beaten me so far... although have been fretting about it increasing the risk of preterm delivery (am already at risk given previous history)... but you have been an inspiration as yours was much bigger than mine and you are practically at term now, I see! Stupidly, I forgot to ask them about it at the 12 week scan, although I think I can see it on the photograph... but I've stopped bleeding now so fingers crossed.

viv well done on bag-packing! (I never did pack mine last time... wasn't a problem tbh, I just made lots of relatives/friends feel useful by sending them out shopping for me).

Right, off out to a friends (to try on her newly redundant maternity clothes) then to the shops to fill in any gaps... have a good day, ladies!

owlbooty · 13/04/2011 11:00

Gah. Yesterday the tidying got well out of hand; after the twix I had a bounty on the way home then two malteser bunnies.

Today I will not be tidying anything! Or none of my bloody clothes will fit. I've bought some orange juice ice lollies for emergencies.

Wombat33 · 13/04/2011 11:16

'Ello all. I'm freaking out worthy of several haddocks here Hmm Had a v stressful couple of days. Offer on house was rejected. Second offer also rejected. Not sure whether we'r'e going to increase again or not, but that debate got sidelined by spending all day yesterday in antenatal emergency clinic at Tommy's with a scary bleed. They heard the baby's hb on the doppler so all seems okay for now but no explanation of the cause. Still getting lots but now v dark brown so trying not to panic. They do have a habit of saying the most unhelpful things though, or probably they're just being pragmatic and I'm particularly sensative in my worry (i.e. " We'd keep you in if you were later in your pg but to put it bluntly your baby's too small for us to be able to do anything for you at this stage so there's no point"). I'm hoping it's just more of the same I had from weeks 7-13 and doesn't mean anything bad. Just as I'd started to relax a bit! Blush [sigh] Oh, and apparently I have SPD... (which frannkly, I will take any day as long as baby is okay).

Good luck to Penguin today and keep it up Ivy let's hope the lo will grace you with his/her presence soon!

Wombat33 · 13/04/2011 11:17

Brew all round while we're waiting for news of new arrivals. And some Biscuit to go with it.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 13/04/2011 12:38

thinking ot penguin!

I just cried when the seamstress told me she hadn't finished the curtains for DS's bedroom yet even though they were supposed to be picked up today, but they will be done on friday. she didn't call beforehand like she promised.

I'm in so much pain with my back today it's unreal. I want this baby out now :(

and if one more person texts or calls to ask if I've had the baby yet, I will put pins in their eyes.

IVY poor you xxx Hope now its the onset of full labour - and that you are nearly fully dilated xxx No eye pinning pliz, theres enough stapling going on round 'ere as it is Grin [but i totally get what you mean!!]

Owls Only a few more days to go to VIABILITY - whoop!!

VIV whoop for the bag packing! Have decided to sell my TT tickets. Ebay special i think. Would love to go but my nerves have the better of me. Even with mum who is a qualified paramedic, i am conscious of being squashed [standing emoticon] never mind eh!?

Wombat bloody hell mrs, not waht you need, nor waht you need to hear from the supposed supportive professionals :( Like you dont know that already....?!?!?! Put up your feet, rest up and am sure everything will be fine. You have been through so much bleeding/shit with this pregnancy.... lets hope thats the end of it :) not too long to go til viability honey xxx

Apples, Orange and Loops thanks for the comments about DH working away. I have spent the last year he has been at home/off work hating rowing with him and now hes not here and we are talking all the time on the phone again, the future looks brighter. DS has been ok, talks to Daddy on the phone all the time, and has been a little gem... it actually works quite well... ME - " come on, lets get dressed and get to pre-school" DS "NO mummy" ME - "ok shall i ring daddy then and tell him not to bring your big boy lego home, that you keep at the beach flat?" DS - "Lets get dressed mummy" Grin Grin Grin Im coping ok with everything, had a monster day yesterday at work and a bit more lazy working from home day today and friday... so im getting a good balance with work and juggling chores etc... :)

Loopy no chance to the shoe shopping!!! DS is a blardy nightmare!!
Orange no jinx pixies with pram buying Grin

Emoo great to see you over here honey xxx fab that everythings fine xx

appleblossoms · 13/04/2011 16:47

Hurray hurray!! Congrats penguin, and welcome little Clodagh. Grin

and wombat, sorry for the scare you had yesterday...sounds pretty terrifying. Glad you could get seen quickly. Hope the bleeding stops now and doesn't give you any more panics.

nicks, I'm loving your bribary tactics! think this could be very useful indeed! Wink

Just back from MW...bump is back measuring perfectly, with no sign that my little thyroid dip has caused a massive growth spurt and therefore a huge baby...so that's good.

Congrats again penguin, enjoy those newborn snuggles this evening.

owlbooty · 13/04/2011 16:48

Yayayayay well done Penguin Grin

Wombat I really wish people in the health service would consider their words more carefully; it's amazing how often they come out with bloody stupid comments like that.

Nix I am counting down the minutes, oh yes indeed. Technically I'm going to get there before you if I go by my 'official' due date which would put me two days ahead of you Grin I too am all over the mackerel, why is it so delicious? Why? In fact, any fish will do. I had salmon pasta for lunch.

You stab away, they deserve it :)

VivClicquot · 13/04/2011 17:04

Yay! Well done penguin - hope you're having lots of cuddles and are enjoying your first day with your new arrival. Sending you lots of love. xx

Ooooh 37 weeks Loops hoorah Grin

hope all is going well with the gorgeous little 'un :)

Can I just say that I love these trousers more than anything else in the world right now? They seem to have endless stretching capabilities and look enough like proper trousers that I can wear them to work. Tis bliss.

I think this morning Owlet is practicing kick-boxing. It is a most bizarre feeling and makes me wonder if I might barf as he appears to be using my stomach as a punchbag.

VivClicquot · 14/04/2011 09:37

Yay loopy - welcome to term time! x

AlbaDeTamble · 14/04/2011 10:07

Congrats Penguin! Hope you're recovering well and enjoying little Clodagh.

Very exciting with imminent babies here! Might have to take up residence on the very comfy sofa in the corner and continue nattering with Jolls till all you term ladies pop!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 14/04/2011 10:33

whahey, loopy and welcome to the termness :)

alba and whoever else it was to be scared of my pins - I don't mean you guys, I mean the idiots who keep facebooking and texting me and expect a reply straight away. If I don't reply I get another message and a "ooh, you're not replying, you must be busy". Too right, I'm busy. Busy avoiding you. twats

feeling decidedly periody today. meh.

DS is still covered in spots and cries "oww, mouth" every time he puts something in it. stupid hand foot and mouth. I feel so sorry for him. :(

I'm in desperate need of Wine

OP posts:
clareanna · 14/04/2011 11:17

ivy I'm pretty sure both lia and alba recommended a relaxing evening with a glass of wine a great way to chill out and help your body relax so stress hormones calm down and don't get in the way of labour developing? I'm sure they'll be along soon to confirm or tell you if I've made this up!!

Yay for loopy hitting termtime! wombat glad to hear bean is behaving despite the bleed

PenguinsMummy · 14/04/2011 13:32

Hi ladies. Thanks for all the congrats. Clodagh is sooooo lovely & is doing really well - v contented & latched on immediately in recovery. ELCS went fine - apart from the initial 6.5 hour wait for something to happen. Up and about doing an old lady shuffle dance today but feeling more human. Hope to go home tomorrow.

Well done to Viv & Loopy on termness. More bunting required!!

ivy tell everyone to bog off & leave you alone. Mini ivy will come when it's ready.

Big waves to all from clodagh!

Congratulations penguin, welcome Clodagh!

Ivy, I too am in the big glass of wine and feet up the night before labour started camp, but really believe babies come whenever they're ready. Relax, you're doing great. And my dad phoned to ask if I was still waiting, and nearly got "No, I had it three days ago but couldn't be arsed to phone", but I held my tongue. People are bloody irritating.

Hello all, glad owl wasn't around with her mean stapler when I headed over, I much preferred the wet haddock so here it is >
