melly how are you today? looks like its going to be cooler for you today, yippeeeee!!!

KLou111 · 15/06/2011 10:25

Hi girls
Raining this morning boooooooo!! Off to Take That this afternoon, hope it's not raining in Cardiff (although think the stadium has a roof). Don't mind it being cool, just not raining!!!!

Didn't watch the hospital Iwish. DH was out pooch training last night, and didn't dare watch it on my own! Knew it would be sad :(
DH at my beckon call in the sex department lol!!

I can't remember if I posted this before but was sent an email regarding a thing called labouraid. They are looking for volunteers to try a mouthguard out in labour. You have to be due between June 16th and August 7th (I'm the 11th, but just put 7th!!) Anyway, they are sending me one to try, I'll take ANYTHING!!! this is the link :)

Hi everyone. I can't watch programmes like that. Even the news is enough to get me blubbing.

Madkatz, hope you have a good break and so sorry for your loss. It's always a terrible shock, isn't it? Big hugs and be kind to yourself.

Melly, hope you're okay and not too hot. Apparently breast stimulation (particularly nipples) works a treat for bringing on and speeding up labour. But you have to do it for ages... Not sure if at 41 weeks that's better or worse than eating 10 pineapples Wink . Good luck with the sweep. I think it's a much more natural way of triggering labour than full induction. I was induced with DS and it wasn't great to be honest (4 days from start to finish), but they only do it if they think it's necessary. Am kind of nervous of working out what it'll feel like to go into labour naturally...

I wish - that set sounds lovely - I think I know the original one you mean. Our moses basket is M&P - they are really expensive if you buy full price but I got ours in the end of season sale and they do realy good reductions, don't they? I missed a delivery from Kiddicare yesterday, a new cot mattress and the stand for the moses basket. Will be able to pick up at the weekend though... Finally started assembling stuff too for the hospital bag. Braxton hicks are getting much more regular and stronger so am feeling the urge to get organised. The house is still a bit of a mess but getting better and I'm feeling a bit more relaxed about it. I finish work a week on Friday (CAN'T WAIT!!!!) so happy that I'll have some time to sort out bits and bobs whilst I'm off.

GruffaloMama · 15/06/2011 10:43

Hi Klou, thanks for that - I've just registered for it too. Agree about the trying anything!!! And like that it allows you to have gas and air. After DS was born I'd been biting down so hard on teh gas and air pipe that I could feel the indent of it on my teeth for weeks afterwards!!!

Melly19MummyToBe · 15/06/2011 11:49

Lovely and cool today thank god! Although I don't need to go out anywhere until simon gets home then we're off shopping. Just been reading the paper online, Can't believe this! I'm starving. Gonna go eat a bagel I think. Onion and poppy seed, ironically :o

KLou111 · 15/06/2011 13:51

My God Melly that's scary!!

Just to let you know our forum is nearly full, any suggestions for a new name.
Thought about 'Started TTC in August 2010, one ready to pop, 3 nearly there, and 2 over halfway!' or suggestions please :)

Melly19MummyToBe · 15/06/2011 18:17

Well I will have popped hopefully by the time it does run out so you could put 'one just popped' instead of 'ready to pop' other than that I reckon it's pretty cool!

lizandlulu · 15/06/2011 18:30

sounds fine to me klou and thnaks for that link, where ever do you find these things??? i have registered for it, anything that helps is fine by me.

melly HAPPY BIRTHDAYWine for tomorrow just incase i dont get on in the morning, and good luck with your sweep, again!

Melly19MummyToBe · 15/06/2011 20:38

Thanks Liz, Happy birthday to you too! I dare say I will be on tomorrow but just incase you're not, hope you have a great day! :)

Iwish, sometimes I almost wish simon was freaked out that there's a baby in my belly, he just seems to want me more than ever, which I know is lovely seeing as I'm roughly the size of a house and my belly looks like a friggin map, but still, he tries it on almost every night, and I feel awful turning him down as he just looks so :( but I can't help it, I just don't want it and can't summon up any enthusiasm for it at all!

GruffaloMama · 16/06/2011 08:09

Happy birthdays! Love to you both!

New thread sounds good klou.

Iwish · 16/06/2011 17:34

KLou111 · 16/06/2011 18:35

Hi all, just a quick visit, DH taking me out for dinner

Happy birthdays!!!! Melly hope your sweep went ok.

TT was FABULOUS!!!!! Loved it, so glad we bought seats!! We were trying to get PG too when booked, but had only been off the pill a couple of months after 13 years so didn't expect to get pregnant that quick lol!
Anyway, seen MW today (32 weeks) and all fine, I am measuring 31cm She said cos I am 'long', that is why my bump isn't huge as bubs has a lot of room, so am relieved now Also think had my first BH last night just as TT came on, belly went like a rock, didn't hurt, but odd feeling. Got DH to feel it and the poor thing almost passed out thinking bubs was on his/her way!! Well, I did say the word contraction, and he put 2 and 2 together and got 5!
Anyway, sorry for self centered post, will read everyones news later.
Have a fab evening x
