evening ladies. please someone tell me i am stark raving mad! chris has gone racing, i didnt want to go so was home when he came home from work, just baking a cake with lulu and the friends he has gone with all came here too. the couple have a duaghter lulus age and a boy of 3. the daughter didnt want to go so i said she could stay with me and lulu!

yes i know i am crazy

the plan was to get them both in the bath then bed and her mum will just pick her out of bed and take her home, when they get home at about 11.

well bath went ok, got them into bed, read stories, then they wanted a midnight Hmm feast, so got them a bowl of apple and pear each. now lulu is being a right sod and they are both sat on the sofa playing snapHmm

they just wouldnt go to sleepSad

on a better note, my furniture came today, yeeyeyeyeyeyeyeyeGrin although its not in place more just in the room asi have got to move some of the baby stuff round to get it into place, but its here. looks lovely.

klou i had something similar to that bear for lulu with she was a baby. it was a lamb, i will see if i can find a link to it, it cost a tenner out of the bargain basement bin from kiddicare and it was brilliant. the wave sound especially. mine has rain, heartbeat and wave and it used to really settle her. i still use it now if she is really not settling down, although i dont think it will work this evening!

lizandlulu · 04/06/2011 08:39

morning people, itsthe weekend yet again, what with half term and being off work all week i have lost track of the days! i have been so busy i havent had time to do hardly anything apart from take lulu out and the occasional bit of housework!

but even though i am crram crackered at bedtime, i cant seem to drop off as usual.i dont particularily think about anything, we still havent sorted this £6000 bill from EON but i am not overly worried about that. but its taking me a good hour or 2 to drop off.

KLou111 · 04/06/2011 09:18

Liz it's a pain in the arse isn't it when you're sooooooo tired you can't sleep. I was like that the other morning when our older dog decided to wake us up at 4:15am as he wanted to sit in the conservatory, little shit!!

Well all good here, but now feel as huge as ever but thankfully no stretch marks as yet fingers crossed it'll stay that way too :) Baby not moving as much as usual so been worried about that TBH. When I drink a cold drink s/he moves a bit, and last night s/he was moving quite a bit, but still get you worried

Bought some nighties in mothercare yesterday, bargain at half price £7 each for BF ones. Light too, and not the granny looking ones that I seem to have found so far, they are actually quite normal looking, white with blue spots, vest type ones. Ordered them online but they didn't have my size (14) so I just ordered 2 in an 18, were the smallest they had, and they went to collect them in the shop and they had 2 x 14s in there!! So just swapped them :)

Didn't get my mint choc chip though :(

Melly19MummyToBe · 04/06/2011 19:49

Evening! £7 is a bargain Klou! I might get a couple more then. I only have one, I don't tend to wear anything in bed, I tend to get tangled up in clothes in bed. But they'll be handy just for sitting around the house in watching tv when we have people round.

That's a shame about the mint choc chip Klou! How come you didn't manage to get any? By the way, how are you getting on with Bella now? Bet she's grown a lot since you first got her!

That lamb is lovely Liz, I've never heard of anything like that before, are they really good then? Has EON said anything about that bill at all? And the guy whose bill it is. Did the girls get off to sleep in end then?

KLou111 · 05/06/2011 09:03

Morning all!! They didn't have any Melly :( every other sodding flavour except the one I wanted!!
Bella is lovely, and getting on great, most of the time!! She's really grown taller, all legs at the mo, but still not as tall as Bali who is a short arse, so hoping she won't get too big!! She hadn't wee'd inside for 3 days the other day, as still has the odd 'excited' accident, so we decided to block off the upstairs and we went out shopping for a couple of hours (mothercare and ice cream day). They had the run of the lounge and kitchen, which were cool, and the conservatory. Came home, 3 wee's in the lounge (bloody typical as carpet, although is getting thrown anyway once work is finished), a remote control chewed to bits (the second one of the same as she did it when we first got her!!) and she'd got hold of a blue inkball pen, chewed the end, so all the loose ink came out all over the sofas and her!!! So her nickname now is 'Bluebell' lol!! Thankfully covers come off so washed and came out. I couldn't stop laughing, DH wasn't impressed and said it's not funny. I just said if I don't laugh, I'll cry! Then he started laughing too cos of the state of her!!! And we couldn't go mad at that gorgeous face :)

Raining here at the moment, blummin need it TBH, but let's hope it's not around long!!

morning all, hoep you are all well.

oh my god klou i think i would have had a fit if the dog did thatShock you must be so laid back! what are you up to today?

melly re the bil, still not sorted it. EON came to check the meter was working properly about 3 weeks ago and i have still not heard the outsome of that although they sent some other people to check the actuall meter equipment. they found the meter has been moved, must have been when we built the patio at the front. aparently its illegal to move it so i wont be suprised if we get into troulbe ofr doing that even though i had no knowledge of it being done. the builders must have arranged it, anyway they said that it wont have affected the actuall meter readings.

i have got to see if EON get in touch in a couple of days, if they dont i shall ring them and ask if they will fit me a new meter, we will pay the bill for the first 3-6 months, then compare the readings with last years at this time. if the bill readings are the same than we will have to pay the whole lot. but if its less (which it bloody well should be) then we will have come to some arrangement about this big bill last year.

so bloody complicated!

re the sleep sheep, it is definately a good thing, but i would wait and see if your baby settles well on its own, see if you need it or not after the first few months.

anyway, dad is back in hospital as he has got something wrong with either his eyes or muscles in his eyes/face. chris has took lulu out for the day so ican go with mum and see him. no children are allowed on the ward that hes in.

speak later x x

KLou111 · 05/06/2011 09:46

Sounds complicated Liz although what the hell would be running to get a £6k bill??? A dope farm???
Hope your Dad gets better soon.

Not up to a lot today, just another lazy day :) DH going to have a go at plastering I think. Hoping if he can do it, he gets the small room done so I can empty the bigger room of the bed etc, and although he wants to do the nursery, there is so much other stuff he can do which I can't and feel I would actually be doing something!!

Have a great day all :)

i konw how you feel, this furniture came but i want it changed round from where they out it, but cant move it on my own. plus the cot needs fetching and putting up, also which i cant do, but cant seem to pin anyone down to helpAngry

i want to get on with putting things away.

if i wash there baby clothes and put them in the drawers they are going to smell of pine woodHmm i am not too sure what to do about it. i dont want them smelling of anything but wash powder. can you still get those drawer liners, i remember comfort doing some sort of liner, but havent seen any recently. that would be better than smelling of wood!

off for some din dins now, then to see dad.

ps. its lovely having abit of peace from luluBlush

KLou111 · 06/06/2011 09:54

Hope your dad OK Liz

Just phoned MW about lack of baby movements over the last few days and she has told me to go to the labour ward. Going in a min, wish me luck Hmm

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 06/06/2011 10:00

oh good luck klou i will be thinking of you. let us know asap how you get on.

i have got to go for scan this aft at 2pm to check the babys kidneys and the area that was enlarged last time.

will check back later

Iwish · 06/06/2011 10:42

Morning all

Just checking in to say hi and wish luck to klou and Liz for today. Xx

KLou111 · 06/06/2011 13:25

Well, been in and was on monitoring machine for about 20mins. All fine > Felt a bit of a fool as typically baby started moving as soon as the belt was put on with the gel! She could hear movements on the machine, but I wasn't feeling a lot of them, so all OK. She did ask though who it was that said to monitor the babys movements (uh, duh!?!?) as she said it was quite early to be monitoring them!! I'm 30+4 today so I think that's late enough!!! I just told her the MW did. Anyway, all fine, so have put a couple of ice cubes in the freezer to put on my tum when I need baby to move, as the cold outside seemed to work.

Hope all goes well this aft Liz:)

MadKatz · 06/06/2011 14:57

Hello Ladies,
Sorry haven't been on for ages, been manic here.
Was hoping to have felt movements by now, but nothing yet. Hopefully it won't be too long now.

Melly19MummyToBe · 06/06/2011 17:29

Afternoon all! I'm glad alls ok with you Klou, better to feel abit silly but reassured than paranoid and worried :)
Omgosh I can't believe Bella! :o let me guess, Bali was just sat there with either an angelic "It wasn't me" expression on his face, or a wise old "These young'uns nowadays!" expression :o

Hope it all went well Liz!

Hello Madkatz how are you doing? I bet you'll feel something any day now! How many weeks are you?

Well, it's D-Day tomorrow! No signs yet, when I saw MW on friday she was 1/5 engaged. I reckon she's gonna be a small baby compared to most of my family, she's only measuring 38 weeks!

MadKatz · 06/06/2011 18:13

Hi Melly, I am 22+5 today

Iwish · 06/06/2011 18:16

klou I'm so glad all is ok. It's better to go and be monitored than just worry. little monkey was teasing u in there!

madkatz you will feel something soon. Where is your placenta?

melly I'm soo excited for you!!! I hope she comes soon.

Pram has arrived at MILs so going to have a look at it after tea. I CAN'T WAIT!!

KLou111 · 06/06/2011 19:21

Thanks ladies :)

Oooooo melly it all starts now!!!! And yes Bali just sat there as if to say, do you know what I have had to deal with while you were out?!?!?

Iwish enjoy your pram, sod tea!!!! Wink

Madkatz won't be too long before you're cursing that you're being woken up by the non stop kicks!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 06/06/2011 20:59

crap i just typed out a whole post and then the bloody computer frozeSad

klou i am so so glad everything is ok, it really is better to put your mind at rest. and thats crap about not monitoring movements! they ask you at all the bloody appointments!

iwish have you been and played with the pram yet?

well my scan went ok, all the kidney area looked normal. they said its about 6 pound..................

6 pound............
no thats not a typo, yes 6 pound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know they cant be spot on, but bloody hell!!!!!

also, it hasnt moved round, its still breech. the midwife i saw went to get the consultant to discuss whats going to happen. he said to book me in for another scan in 4 weeks to see if it has turned, if it is still breech, then he would reccomend trying to turn it by hand (EVC) 1 week later,i think which works in about half of women. they gave me a leaflet all about what would happen. first they scan you to make sure its still breech, then monitor you for half an hour, then try to turn it, then monitor again.
it says its generally safe but 1 in 200 women have to be delivered straight away by cesarean because of bleeding in the plactenta.

hmm i am slightly worried about the outcome, epsecially if it turns back round and i end up having to have a cesarian anyway. but the only other option would be give birth to a 12 pound baby!

Iwish · 06/06/2011 22:11

Hiii I'm back!!

Oooh I LOVE MY PRAM!!! It's so easy to push and put together etc. It looks nice too. I even tried putting it in the car and boot. Roll on October taking my little man out in it!

klou I actually left most of my tea out of excitement but now I'm starving so I'm eating cereal hehe.

Liz I'm glad all went well with your scan. 6lb tho! And lets hope he/she moves round by your next scan.

MadKatz · 06/06/2011 22:12

eeermm...iwish i don't know where my placenta is. Should I / how should I know know? Should they have told me at the scan? Confused

Iwish · 06/06/2011 22:29

My notes say where mine is. It is anterior and covering the OS. If it's anterior you may feel kicks later than normal. X

lizandlulu · 07/06/2011 04:16

right, its 4 am and i am sat in the living room, cant sleepSad i have tried reading my book but just got up and had a bag of cheesy doritos. i just was laying there thinking of foodHmm

i had garlic mushrooms for my tea, homemade i might add, and really fancy them now, but i dont usually even like mushroomsHmm

madkatz they only usually tell you where the placenta is if its somewhere out of the ordinary. like mine and iwish's are anterior we was told ealry on, so if you havent been told and different then i would presume its in the normal place.

right i am off back to bed, still dont feel sleepy, but the thought of getting up in3 hours makes me want to put a pillow over my head to knock me outSmile

MadKatz · 07/06/2011 07:10

ok, thanks ladies. I'll have a look at my notes. Nothing was said at any of my scans so hopefully its normal Smile

KLou111 · 07/06/2011 09:43

Wow Liz 6 LBS?!?!?!?! You're carrying a monster ha ha ha!! Only joking! I haven't a clue how heavy mine is, haven't been told at any point. Glad kidneys are all OK though, that's the main thing :)

Apparently baby is head down here now, I got told yesterday when the monitoring lady was having a good prod around trying to work out where HB was. S/he was feet at the left and from yesterday aft and now is feet at the right, so keeps moving in that respect (assuming it is feet not hands!)
Fingers crossed yours moves asap Liz :)

Glad you got your pram Iwish. I bet is seems a bit more real now! I've had mine out a few times playing with it and reading the instructions, it's so exciting isn't it?? Which colour did you go for in the end??

Hope you find out OK about your placenta Madkatz and you start feeling something soon x

Am chuffed with myself this morning as I won 3 brand new Motherease nappy wraps last night for £2 each, (normally around £8.50) on separate listings with the same seller :) they've got little frogs and pond life on lol!! Wanted white ideally but just got to take what you can get lol!!

DH is trusting me to grout the tiles on the bathroom floor as I've been moaning I'm bored and he has so much to do and I want to do something so I've got that job while he starts plumbing the ensuite. Although he was concerned about me being on the floor, as he knows he'll have to try and get me up lol!! Actually looking forward to it!!

Have a great day all xx
