That's a bargain too klou! we all seem to have the bargain bug here lol!
My little one has been a wriggler today too! He's been pretty quiet for a few days so it has been nice :). Grin at being kicked in the fairy! I think I have felt something similar, thought little one was kicking my cervix..

6 more days till the 4d scan!! I can't wait to see what my little man looks like. :)

I was thinking about melly earlier wondering if poppy had made an appearance.

MadKatz · 13/06/2011 07:29

Hello Ladies,
Hope you're all well. Sounds like lots of bargain hunting going on!

Had a manic week last week at work and then went to mid wales for the weekend for a friends 50th which was lovely.

Now just looking forward to our holiday, going to Croatia on Friday for 2 weeks, looking forward to some hot weather (It's been raining here too). Slightly overhsadowed by being told last night about the loss of a close friend.

How you doing Melly?

x

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/06/2011 09:14

Booooooored :( almost a week overdue now. It seems Poppy is far too comfortable staying where she is. I'm abit worried now though, because I read that a sweep increases your chances of going into labour within the next 48 hours. Mine is tomorrow, and 48 hours after is my birthday!! Oooooh I'll have to change my name soon!

That was a really good bargain Iwish! Especially for a mamas and papas set! It seems we all love a good bargain :o

:o at fairy kicking!

Last child free weekend was a bit shite tbh. Saturday simon was busy finishing jobs in the house, and on sundays we normally have a nice long lie in, till about 11-11:30ish, but yesterday he got up at 8:15 and went to a carboot with his dad and didn't get back until 11:30! Was a bit gutted that he wasted our last sunday morning by going to a carboot Hmm He did bring me breakfast in bed when he got back though, and then we ended up cleaning the whole house. He did make tea though for a change (spag bol).

Oooh you did pick a bad day to come to gainsborough Liz what with it being the riverside festival :o where did you manage to park? It took simon almost an hour to get to the tip (summergangs lane) and back on saturday, usually takes about 20 minutes!

Sorry for the loss of your friend Madkatz, was it sudden? Your holiday sounds fab though, I hope you have a good time!

Does anyone know anything about nosebleeds? My nose isn't bleeding as such, it's just bloody. Blood appears to have replaced snot (sorry :o) and it's really annoying. Keep forgetting to mention to midwife and I'm too scared to google it :o

KLou111 · 13/06/2011 11:02

I'm getting the nose blood too Melly apparently common in pregnancy. I've never really had a nose bleed, but since being pregnant I've had the blood quite a lot.
Boo about your last weekend, but yey for the breakfast and dinner :)
What do you mean change your name?

Hope you're OK madkatz, sorry about your loss :( Hope you have a great holiday. I am dying for a holiday!!

Bloody have a foot in the ribs this morning, NOT very comfortable!!!

KLou111 · 13/06/2011 11:37

lizandlulu · 13/06/2011 13:46

hiya all, glad you are well. i am very jealous madkatz bout the holiday, i have never been to croatia but it looks stunning, have a great time.

melly poppy is just too comfortable in there! you have made it such a nice home, why should she come outGrin i hope you do go into labour on your own. inductions are ment to be quicker but more painful (dont want to scare you though)

and sat we parked straight away in marshalls yard, we caught someone coming out a space! it was nice to see all the stuff happening, made a nice change.

did simon actually get owt good from the carboot? i love them but am never up early enough to ever go, by the time i would get there owt good would be gone!

about the name change how about mellyandwaiting? (for now anyway)Grin

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/06/2011 14:51

I know Liz, maybe that's where all my flab has gone, Poppy has stolen it to make an extra comfy womb-room :o! My friend was induced, and 3 (out of 5) of the girls on that course I did were induced. The other 2 of us haven't had our babies yet! I know it's meant to be horrible compared to going naturally. Makes sense I suppose, forcing your body to do something before it's ready. I am currently munching my way through a rather large pineapple :o Hope it works lol! And no, he didn't get anything from the carboot. I don't even know why he went!

lizandlulu · 13/06/2011 16:26

sex is supposed to help tooGrin

KLou111 · 13/06/2011 16:27

lol with the pineapple Melly I think it only works if you have about 10 (and eat the hard bit in the middle!!) Hope it's 10 anyway cos I have 1 a week lol!!!

How about MummytoPoppy :)

Hi Melly,

She was only 29 and had been suffering with cancer for 20 years, which finally beat her on Saturday morning. Although we've known for years, it still doesn't prepare you for the inevitable phone call. I am now just hoping the funeral wont be until we get back as we want to go, have been told it will take a while to organise as so many people want to be there.

Try the hottest curry you can manage and sex, apparently they're both meant to be good Grin

x

KLou111 · 13/06/2011 20:17

Sorry Madkatz Fingers crossed you get to go to the funeral.

Make sure you're 'unplugged' too Melly with the sex thing!! You want the old juices to soften your fluid lol!! Grin

lizandlulu · 13/06/2011 20:26

sorry to hear about your friend madkatz nothing prepares you for it, even if you knwo its comingSad.

do you remember i said about the bouncy chair i won on ebay for 99p? well i didnt hear nothing from them for weeks so i sent a message saying that i understood that they probably wanted more fori t, but i would be willing to consider still buying it depending on how much they wanted. they said they wanted a tenner for it which is still a bargain so i have had it and they dropped it off today.

i have just had a bath with some new lush stuff and cant decide if i like the smell or if it smells faintly of curry powderHmm

KLou111 · 13/06/2011 20:31

lol Liz at curry!!! A bargain, but still naughty of them to ask for a tenner and not give it to you for what they sold it for, as that's the whole point of ebay!! At least they dropped it off too :)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 13/06/2011 21:56

i know, i could report them to ebay but dont really have the heart.

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/06/2011 14:48

Oh that's sad Madkatz, I hope you get to go to the funeral.

I'm trying everything but sex for now, sex is a last resort, reeeeeally don't feel like it anymore. Went for my sweep today, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, going for another one on thursday, what a great thing to do on my birthday :o

At least you got the chair in the end Liz! Bit of a cheek of them really but I can understand where they are coming from, although if they wanted at least a tenner for it they should really have started the bidding a bit higher than 99p!

How on earth do you eat the hard bit in the middle of a pineapple??? It's far too hard!

Iwish · 14/06/2011 17:57

Hi all!!

How are you all?

4 days till our 4d scan!! I can't wait!! Hurry up Saturday!

Very naughty of the eBay seller Liz but still good for £10!

Sorry to hear about your friend madkatz hope you are doing ok. Hope you have a nice holiday too.

melly I didn't even know we could eat the middle of a pineapple lol! Shows how often I eat it :)
Not surprised you don't want to try sex, I've gone off it too. Not sure if I should be happy DP doesn't want to have sex with me or if I should be upset lol. He said the thought of the baby in there freaks him out!

How are you klou and gruffalo?

KLou111 · 14/06/2011 19:42

You're not meant to really eat the middle of a pineapple, but that's what I read when I was looking into if you could eat pineapple when pregnant. They said it only has a 'labour' effect if you eat loads in one day (approx 10) and eat the middle. I've never eaten the middle, it's like wood!!!!

Still oversexed here lol! Can't get enough!!! Grin

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/06/2011 19:45

melly i cant think of anything better than having a sweep on your birthdayHmm Grin but if it gets poppy moving then it will be woth it!

i was talking to a lady at the school gates earlier and she said her midwife with her last one was an old irish lady who had 7 kids. her advice was not to eat in labour, if you eat then the baby eats and is all content and comfy so no need to come out, she also said not to get into the birth pool as it relaxes you and if your relaxed then the baby is relaxed and not in no hurry to get out. makes sense really but i am getting in that bloody pool if its going to take the edge off tha pain!

lizandlulu · 14/06/2011 19:46

klou i think you are my husbands dreamGrin

KLou111 · 14/06/2011 19:49

I've heard that about the pool too Liz, about it slowing all things down, but if it's free, I'm bloody having it!!
Lol re your husband!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/06/2011 20:03

i plan to go in the pool if all goes to plan and its free. just my luck it will be in use!

Iwish · 14/06/2011 20:22

klou I wish I had some kind of sex drive!!
.... Actually of I did I might just be left slightly frustrated due to DP not wanting to dtd lol.

Liz if it takes the edge off the pain I'm sure you wont care and will just get in the pool!

I'm not even thinking of birth yet. I might end up having a section if this soddin placenta doesn't move!

Are any of you watching 'baby hospital' on itv at 9pm? I think I will but I hope it's not sad.

lizandlulu · 14/06/2011 21:20

no i am not watching it. whats it like?

Iwish · 14/06/2011 21:35

Well I havnt cried yet but am on the verge. Poorly little babies. I hope they don't show anything really sad or I'll be in tears and the tv will be off.
