oooooh I'd love a barn conversion, my DP bought our house end of november 09 and took 3 months to do it up and we moved in 13th Feb last year :) still tonnes to do though, he wants to remove a chunk of kitchen doorway so we can install a dishwasher, BEFORE the baby arrives in June. Much as I would absolutely LOVE a dishwasher, I can't be doing with all the brick dust :( before or after baby is born!!

lizandlulu · 27/02/2011 16:19

hiya all IIIIMMMMM BBBAAACCCKKKGrin

have you all missed meGrin i have not even unpacked yet andi am checking on here and seeing what i have missed!

glad you are all ok.

melly when you first started to feel you baby move, did you feel it more and more as eash day or week passes? i have been feeling mine since 13 week, but for this past 2-3 weeks i have only been feeling it 2 or 3 times a day and onlt for split second. i expected to be feeling it loads by now

Melly19MummyToBe · 27/02/2011 16:24

Hey welcome back! Did you have a good time? I looked out for you on friday night :o

I felt her move more each week really, the first time I felt her move I thought I had a dodgy stomach! I just kept feeling these strange bubblyish feelings and as the weeks went on the movements got stronger and more obvious. How many weeks are you now? Im 26 on tuesday :)

lizandlulu · 27/02/2011 18:05

yes had a brill time, but could have been for longer Sad it was lovely and relaxing though not having any washing or housework or work to do.

i dont know if its something to be concerned about, i dont see my midwife till another 6 weeks, and have a scan on the 22nd, i am not sure if to get in touch with them or not. i have got to go to the docs anyway, got to ring and make appointment tomorrow, as i keep getting these sore patches if skin on the inside of my thighs, i am not sure if i have said about them of not, but they are not going away and i think i need some sort of cream.

Melly19MummyToBe · 27/02/2011 18:14

No I don't think you have, sounds painful! It might be excema or something apparantly thats fairly popular in pregnant women. But if you are worried that baby isn't moving as much as he/she should be just speak to your GP hopefully they should advise you on what to do :)

KLou111 · 27/02/2011 18:40

Welcome back Liz been quiet without you. Glad you had a nice time.

I've not felt baby move for 10 days now, but had appt on Thursday and we heard the heartbeat and everything OK.

I am feeling really really upset. I've just been crying on the phone to my mum as I didn't want to call my MW, but wanted MW advice (Melly my mum was a MW before she retired 3 years ago).
I have just been to the loo and I wiped a small spot of red blood. Wiped again and again, and nothing. DH was standing there too cos he was waiting for the loo so he saw the blood.
Not had any cramp or anything, but am really worried. Mum said may just be a part of womb coming away, or if we have had sex recently (last night, but she didn't ask!) so we wonder if it was that, but I thought it would happen straight away.
She's told me to wear a panty liner to see if there's any more. Only reason I'm really worried is because it's red. [teary emotion]

Melly19MummyToBe · 27/02/2011 18:58

Oh dear, well try not to worry too much, I had a bit of red blood earlyish on (about 8 weeks I think it was) and it had tiny little clotty bits in aswell, I was really worried as I had heard that blood like that could be a sign of MC and the clots could be part of the sac or something? But anyway, the point is, it was apparantly nothing and baby is fine. Punching me in the bladder as I type infact. If there is anymore I would ring your MW though, just to be sure .

By the way, you pee with your husband there?? I could never do that, im far too prudish about toilet habits Blush I hate peeing with people on the other side of the door incase they hear me. Stupid I know, but it's just me!

lizandlulu · 27/02/2011 20:36

if you mum doesnt think its anything to worry about then try not to worry if you can. i bled a few weeks ago after sex, i didnt think owt of it cause my vagina was very tight and dh said it was quite hard to 'get in'! thoughti had just had a slight tear or nick because of that.

i am sure its nothing to worry about, but you should speak to someone tomorrow, even if only to put your mind at rest, you dont want to be worrying about it for days.

and i am with you all the way with the peeing thing, i have no shameGrin

MadKatz · 28/02/2011 13:14

Hi Liz, welcome back, glad you had a good time.

Not much going on here apart from the odd cramp and very sore boobs!

Seeing the midwife on Thursday Smile

KLou111 · 28/02/2011 14:46

Feeling a lot better here. No more blood thank goodness. My white knickers are still white Grin
My Mum phoned me earlier and calmed me down a bit. She's told me to get them to check the heart when I go in on Weds for my triple bloods if I want reassurance, which I think I will do.

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 28/02/2011 15:01

Thats good then, might have just been the sex that caused it! If everything is ok (which it will be!) you may never know what caused it properly lol! Bleurgh, bloods. I hate that bit, I almost threw up the first time I had them done, I think they took about 4 or 5 bottles! Got my GTT on 9th so not looking forward to that :(

On a lighter note, the nursery is painted completely, just needs a carpet, my jungle stickers, furniture and fixings :o AND Simon has agreed to the name Poppy!! Aslong as it's double-barrelled with something else though. So all is well here :) 14 weeks to go. . . .

apples82 · 28/02/2011 15:04

Maybe it's TMI, but I had similar for the first time of having sex and then having a little blood after.

The pregnancy book i've been reading rammed it down my throat that it is very common in first trimester, so I just put it down to one of those things.

KLou111 · 28/02/2011 15:15

Thanks and hello apples. I'm nearly 17 weeks though so was kinda hoping to be over the scary blood bit! I had brown blood for 4 day at 8 weeks and was sent into the EPU for an early scan, everything fine then, so hoping it is now. Was only a drop, so hoping was nothing, just scares the hell of you especially if red!

Melly yay to Poppy!! Nursery sounds lovely :)
Didn't watch the first lot of bloods, but assuming they'll take more this time!!

OP posts:
Melly19MummyToBe · 28/02/2011 15:25

I didn't watch either, but I just started feeling really hot, cold, sick and dizzy. Mind you it might've been down to the fact that I didn't have any breakfast. It was our first scan and I was far too nervous to eat!

Nursery is cream and yellow, the yellow is at the bottom, cream at the top and they meet with a wiggly line :) it's gonna be amazing when it's completed!! I will put some pictures up I think.

Melly19MummyToBe · 28/02/2011 15:33

Just put a couple of pics up of the nursery so far, feel free to be jealous at the amazingness of the fabulous paintwork :o

lizandlulu · 28/02/2011 17:42

wow melly that looks brilliant! i might do the same with different colours, andi was going to have a jungle theme tooSmile but i want nice pastelly colours not too bright. i am not sure if its suitable for a girl though, just in case it is a girl.

klou i am glad that its all ok todaySmile

Melly19MummyToBe · 28/02/2011 18:46

The stickers im getting are 'fun to see jungle safari' I got them off Amazon :) Im glad that DP has such a steady hand with a paintbrush :o I would've made a right mess if id've done it! I did draw the line though :)

You could pick some neutral colours, and when/if you do find out the sex at the 20 week scan you could accessorize with accessories to suit either a girl or boy. Are you going to find out or wait and have a surprise? I couldn't wait, im far too impatient :o

KLou111 · 28/02/2011 19:49

Sounds lovely melly, will have a nose in a bit :)
Forgot to say re the weeing thing, I too have no shame. Don't just wee in front on each other lol! But if you can't do that after 13 1/2 years, what can you?
It's just about being comfortable with each other :)
Still no blood Grin

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 28/02/2011 21:50

i am going to have lilac and aqua with lemon curtains. not very boyish i know but very prettyGrin we can redecorate when its about 5Grin

no we are not finding out what it is, i want it to be a suprise. dh and i had a heated discussion last night, he wants to know and i dont. he wants to find out and not tell me. he cant keep his mouth shut about the tiniest things so he would never be able to keep it a secret for 20 weeks.

klou i am so pleased there has been no more blood

KLou111 · 01/03/2011 11:12

Liz apparently one of you is not allowed to know if the other doesn't because of that reason. That's what I was told anyway, cos I wanted to know and DH didn't, so we're not going to find out.

Still no more blood here, so putting it down to the sex Blush. Told DH he is not to come near me in that respect for a bit now lol!
Going to look to buy a heart monitor as I don't think I can cope with not hearing little one for so long in between appointments!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 01/03/2011 12:11

they sell them in larger boots, or ebay?

dh isnt even bloody coming to the scan anyway, so it makes no difference, i will just not find out!

MadKatz · 01/03/2011 13:22

Hello Ladies, hope you're all ok.

Melly, I love your nursery. Ahh wish we had room but s/he will be in with us until we move (we will definitely have to move, possibly sooner rather than later).

Can anyone recommend where I can buy some reusable gel pads I can put in the fridge to put on my boobs cos they're so painful Blush

Melly19MummyToBe · 01/03/2011 15:17

klou whatever you do, DO NOT buy the Summer infants one, I was thinking of getting one and was browsing amazon (incase you hadn't already guessed, I LOVE amazon :o) and the Summer infants one had 0 positive reviews, they were ALL 1 or 2 stars. And my friend had one, said it was crap so she sold it on ebay. I would go for an Angel Sounds one, they seem to be the best ones at the moment. I bet you're relieved theres been no more blood!

Liz That colour scheme sounds gorgeous! It would be a bit odd for a boy though :o

madkatz Thanks, I love my nursery too lol :o can't wait till its finished!! Maybe you could try boots or mothercare for some gel pads? I know I have seen them in a shop recently but i'll be damned if I can remember which one! Failing that, Google it?

lizandlulu · 01/03/2011 16:43

i have seen them in boots (not that i have been hanging around the baby ailesGrin)

our pound shop sells freezable gel packs, like princess and dora ones made for kids when they have accidents. might be worht trying if your only going to use them at home?
