Hi ladies,

I tentatively joined a couple of weeks ago, been a lot of action since then....!! Congratulations to all the births, wonderful to see xxx I hope the babies are doing ok and feeding well x

I had a scan at the epu today after having brown gunk for a few days, Fantastic news that i have a 8 1/2 week bean with a little fluttering heartbeat measuring 2cms EDD Aug 7th Grin Grin

Just thought i would let you know Grin

Muser · 30/12/2010 12:45

Wonderful news StNix, it's a lovely thing to see, isn't it? Are you ready to go on the list, or do you want to wait?

Gi1da · 30/12/2010 13:23

Wow CONGRATULATIONS Sparkly wonderful news. V envious of your queue jump!

Lovely to hear your update too StNix Smile Smile

Not a sausage happening here and am getting very forlorn. Had acupuncture yesterday and also mw appt, mw has offered me a sweep at next week's appt, but at same time will then book me in for hospital monitoring. Am very unhappy as I do not want to go to hospital AT ALL. Had mild cramps for a couple of hours yesterday evening, but slept well and no sign of anything today.

Hope Luckybear is simply too busy to update us, and wishing things get shifting for you Bunny sounds like you've been doing warms ups, so hopefully not long for you. Good luck!

Jolls nothing would make me happier than to see you back on this list xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 30/12/2010 13:56

Thanks Muser i think i will wait just a couple more (well 3.5 weeks to be precise) to the next hurdle... if thats ok!?

Best of luck to all the ladies waiting at the top of the list...may the births all go smoothly and according to plan xx

lia66 · 30/12/2010 13:59

hi everyone,

Yey sparkly I think we all envy you queue jumping but not the labour, sounds as if it may have been tough, when you're ready, we're here to listen. Welcome little alex Xmas Grin

Had routine appt with cons this morning and ended up staying nearly 4 hours cos she decided baby was big, (measuring 31 wks) so sent me for a scan, seems lo is slightlty larger than average at just over 2 and half lbs but I know even scans are notoriously innacurate and I grw big babies, I just do. I'm not fussed, last dc was 9lb 5 at 3 wks early.

So now gotta go for gtt next tues and repeat scan 4 wks, am hoping this one will come on it's own like dd did, a good 3 wks before time. (wishful thinking)No major itching yet though so thats good, different cons, (cos had to see another one after the scan) said all seems fine for hands off birth except no home birth or pool due to my advanced years, lol. Bless him, I'm not quite dead yet.

jolls am hoping for a great NY presy for you and anyone else waiting to test or clarification.

Well done stnix lovely to get the first scan out of the way.

louisesh · 30/12/2010 16:53

Congrats Sparkley

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 30/12/2010 17:58

Big congrats Sparkly on the arrival of your little man!

Good news StNix Smile

Will be back to catch up later I am just de-childminding the house as I AM NOW ON MATERNITY LEAVE !!!!!!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VivClicquot · 30/12/2010 18:38

Aww congratulations and lots of love to zayja and sparkly on the fab arrivals of Winona and Alex. What a wonderful way to end 2010!

Nice to hear your news too, nix - will keep everything crossed that the next 3 and a bit weeks pass smoothly.

Am keeping a watchful eye on the rest of you at the top of the list - fingers crossed for more good news soon :)

Whoop whoop for 8s being on mat leave - I'm actually quite freaked out as you're technically only 6 weeks ahead of me, yet i've barely thought about my mat leave yet! (albeit I know your magicspiderbabies will be making an appearance before 40 weeks, so it's not quite the same!) Grin

If I don't get a chance to post again before tomorrow, sending everyone on our lovely thread lots of love and hope for a marvellous 2011. I hope it's an amazing year for all of us xxxx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 30/12/2010 20:26

Thanks for your support ladies. viv i think you grad'ed from the TTC thread, just as i joined, its so lovely to see the babies growing..and getting ready for Mat leave, and talking about impending births!

Happy new year ladies, I will be out of my christmas costume very soon, and returning as plain old nickstermum!

louise i hope that you and your family get through new years, and early 2011 brings you that bright and shiny BFP x

BunnyBaby · 30/12/2010 22:28

Magic congratulations on starting maternity leave, that has flown by, may you get lots of rest and an easy time for the next weeks.

Alba you're almost with us now at the top!

Viv zooming up there too! Remember your coffee station spilling on the TTC thread only seems like a day ago.

Gilda hello - it's getting a bit boring now. I'm booked in for an induction next Tuesday when I'll be 41+3 as they're too busy to do it later. I'm happy with that. My lovely Osteopath is coming tomorrow to the house to try and get things going. And my maternity reflexologist is going to try and move things along on Monday. So now I have all bases covered I'm going to try and relax (drums fingers impatiently!)

StNix lovely news on your scan, and may you have a boring uneventful rest of pregnancy!

littlemiss72 · 31/12/2010 08:13

OrangeGloss · 31/12/2010 10:02

Hi, I wondered if I could lurk for a while? I'm on the conception thread, and was extremely lucky to get a BFP on Christmas Eve. I have an 8 week scan in 12 days (and counting), so am trying to keep myself occupied until then (yeah, right). I had a MMC which was a result of my poor bean never implanting properly, so I know an early scan would have picked it up, and am now I'm scared shitless it'll be the same thing this time, and don't feel ready to 'join' for a while yet

Sorry for the me me me post, just trying to give a bit of background

clareanna · 31/12/2010 10:40

Nix great news on the scan - I remember how awful it was walking back into the EPU - you must be soo relieved now, and not long until your next scan too!

Orange welcome aboard and congratulations on your BFP - I hope you have a long and boring 9 months. I know how nerve wracking it is waiting for the scan - I hope you've got lots to keep you busy in the meantime. It's very easy to worry about what might or might not be I know!

littlemiss am [envious] of your NYE plans! Had just managed to arrange for my DS to spend the night with his lovely grandma, but last night he woke up with a roaring temperature, so that's my tame night out cancelled.

Magic yayyy for mat leave! What have you got planned so far? I think I'm going to enjoy it far more this time round. Hope the spiderbabies have let you get some sleep

I've been diagnosed with SPD and am off to a waddlers anonymous clinic next week to get some physio tips. Bit annoying as it's limiting what I can do and is bloody painful, but at least I've only got 5 weeks to go now so not long.

Would also like to add a big thank you for all your support over the lastyear - either on the TTC thread or here, this time last year was a very sad time, and I couldn't have got through it without the support I found here -wishing you all a wonderful 2011 - I'm glad to see the back of 2010!

Muser · 31/12/2010 10:41

Welcome orangegloss, we all know what those early days are like. Bloody terrifying Grin. Massive congratulations and here's hoping that in 12 days you'll see your little bean snuggled up and growing into a baby.

toomuchteaching · 31/12/2010 11:30

Grr... just lost a v long post on my new Christmas tablet. Internet checking in bed = good, losing my 20 mins of touch screen slow typing = bad. So I'll do what I can...

Congratulations sparkly on your fab news and excellent queue jumping! And well done StNix too.

Enjoy mat leave magic16.

Welcome orangegloss, hope the next 12 days are ok, it's such a tough wait so feel free to come on here and vent or worry, we've all been there.

gi1da sorry nothing much is happening there, it's the same here, although I keep telling myself it could all kick off quickly. I've had the odd crampy feeling but nothing more exciting than that. Do you think reflexology is worth a try? I'm up for anything right now!

RHG do you remember when we were fighting it out over scan dates!? And now look at us... I wonder who will be first? Good luck to you.

clareanna sorry to hear about the SPD, hope you get some good physio tips.

lia glad you're staying relaxed about your consultants and scans.

Waves to other 37+ers.

No big new year plans here, just a quiet one. To be honest, if I could actually turn over properly in bed I'd happily spend it asleep. I honestly cannot wait to not feel like I need a fork lift truck Grin

appleblossoms · 31/12/2010 16:20

Just a quickie to say Happy New Year to everyone. I'm looking forward to finally relaxing and enjoying being pregnant. Promise I'll start posting more, and hiding less. Grin

Big congrats on the births, and good luck to those waiting for d-day to arrive.

Welcome orange, think I crossed paths with you briefly over in TTC...tis a scary time in the beginning, but it does get easier!

Sorry for not namechecking properly.....I will soon!

CaribouMoo · 31/12/2010 20:37

Sparkly congratulations on the safe arrival of your wee one, that's great news to see the year out.

Orange good to see you here, hope you'll become a regular soon. Well done again Nix on the excellent scan!

Clare I had SPD with DD and learned to adjust to it - despite not being that great at doing the exercises. The turning in bed, or trying to get out of bed was the worst, but you'll develop coping strategies. I've actually been getting twinges already so God help me later! Gi1da are you about, or otherwise engaged??

Anyway, Happy New Year to you all when it comes. Wishing everyone all the very best for 2011 x x

Quick re-posting of list because I've lost a few days

dorcas111 · 31/12/2010 21:19

Hi everyone, congratulations to all the new arrivals. Those of you still waiting I hope the babies make an appearance soon- perhaps they are cleverly avoiding clashing with any christmas/ new years eve dates. I can't believe I am 36 weeks- although I do feel like I have been pregnant forever and can't wait for this little one to arrive. I know I don't post on here as often as others, but I just wanted to say that this thread has really helped me get through the anxiety of being pregnant again, so thank you for your support- on this and the TTC thread. You are all wonderful, generous women and I wish you all the best for 2011. Happy New Year x x x

Gi1da · 31/12/2010 22:46

A flying visit to wish everyone a wonderful 2011 and may we be welcoming many more Grad babies into the world. Thank you for seeing me through this last year, your support, humour and advice has been amazing, I'm truly grateful.

Special thoughts too to those who aren't here yet but who we hope to see soon. May this be your year xxx

Gi1da · 31/12/2010 22:48

Oops slightly raggedy bunting. Shabby chic that is. Yup. Blush

AlbaDeTamble · 01/01/2011 09:06

Very happy new year everyone! And here's to some lovely news of babies and good scans to get the year off to a happy start.

I'm afraid I can't oblige just yet... Loads of cramps and sickness and backache on Thursday night, but since then nothing.

Lucky, 2 weeks over? I hope you're simply busy with a gorgeous new baby and all is well

Gilda, lovely bunting Smile... I've hidden homebirth kit in a cupboard, it was starting to taunt me... Hoping it all starts for you soon

Bunny, any of your interventions doing any good? I'm peversely jealous that you have your induction date... I'm really not worried if I end up induced at 42wks, induction worked like a dream with DS and had an 'easy' labour (if you can ever call labour easy!)

Toomt, still chuckling at the fork lift truck wish! I wake up in the middle of the night in uncomfortable positions or needing the loo and it takes me ages to gear up to move!

Clareanna so much for my moaning, SPD must be really awful, I hope you can get a really good physio who can help make it a bit better.

apples, hang in there, here's to a lovely confident new year for you

Nix great news on good scan! Here's to time flying for you till the next one then you can start to really relax and enjoy... After that time will fly and before you know it you'll be whinging about the last few weeks too... But do keep posting between now and the next scan, the support here through those scary weeks was a godsend.

Orange, welcome, congratulations and fingers crossed for you. Try to remind yourself the best you can do for this little bean is to assume the best and relax as much as you are able to.

Dorcas good to hear from you! WYG are you there? Come and join in with the last few weeks moans and groans!

Big wave to Lia, I do hope I see you again soon... Have told the baby he's got to get moving now before the tree's down...

littlemiss fab job on the list! Hope you had a good new years eve party

big waves to magic, moo, ivy and everyone else. Must go, DS wants a turn bouncing on 'mummy's big comfy ball'...

Happy new year to all, and to echo all the others, thanks for such fantastic support through all of last years lows and highs

BunnyBaby · 01/01/2011 09:58

Happy New Year all, given the warm ups since 37 weeks I was surprised at midnight to still be here. But am all snuggled up with DH and DS.

Viv, natural induction thoughts. Osteopathy yesterday and tomorrow if no action followed by reflexology on monday. I have to see them as just getting me relaxed as with DS I had loads of treatments and 3 sweeps. Nowt worked until inducement at 40+17.

This time I finished at 32 weeks as thought working to 38 weeks tired me out and delayed the labour. However I am now reaching the conclusion that I must just cook these babies a long time.

I think that's why I'm happy with induction date. Also hospital don't want me too late given growth scan estimation of 10.5 lbs already a week ago!

toomt you're right up there at the top nods, time is flying.

oranges and apples great to see you here and hop you have a boring 9 months.

lia when did you sneak up to 30 weeks?

Happy New Year to everyone. I echo other sentiments that the TTC thread and this thread have been very supportive. At least we're certain our babies are 2011 ones now xxxxx

malteser1981 · 01/01/2011 14:30

Happy New Year to you all, wishing evryone much happiness in 2011.

This is the first NY day I haven't had a hangover in a long time!

HappyGirl1 · 01/01/2011 19:10

Malteser big congrats on the arrival of your bouncing baby boy. What lovely news! How is he doing?

Zayja big congrats to you too on the arrival of Winona. What a lovely name. Hope you are both doing really well.

Clareanna hope your pelvic pain is getting a bit better

Sparkly big congrats on the arrival of Alex! That's fab news too! GOsh it's great to have all of these CHristmas babies.

StNix congrats to you also! Lovely news of a summer baby

Magic congrats on being on maternity leave? HOw are babies doing in there now?

OrangeGloss congrats on your BFP. This is a lovely thread with lots of great support from the ladies here. Wishing you lots of luck for your scan

Louise after all that good news, I just wanted to say that I know what a horribly difficult time of year this is for you and your family. I hope now that we are in 2011 you get a little bit of hope and that this year is a really wonderful year for you and your DH. I hope you get an early new years present of a BFP which would be the best news we could all get on this thread. I look forward to hearing it really soon I hope. I'm just back from time at home with family and friends and my best friend went through the same as you a year and a half ago, this time last year was a horrible CHristmas for her and now this year it's wonderful as her gorgeous son is here. It was hard, it was tough but she got there and I just hope so so much that you get there too and this time next year is a much happier celebration for you. Thinkng of you lots Louise xx

No news here in Happy Land, Ciara is doing very well, unfortunately though I've been getting a bit faint and I still seem to have the infection despite finishing the anti-biotics. Bit worried about it but will hopefully hold out until MW on Tuesday. Fingers crossed all okay. Main thing is though that Ciara is well.

Thank you all for all of your support this year. This thread really got me through the year and I appreciate all of you and your advice so much. Happy New Year!

Ps could someone send me the link to the grads thread pls?

OrangeGloss · 02/01/2011 07:37

Thanks for your kind welcomes :) it seems so many of you are at your due dates - encouraging that successful pg can happen after mc. I'm looking forward to hearing more news from you ladies waiting

I've been trying to put things into perspective, and read that there is a 1% chance of MMC, so am hoping the odds are in my favour this time. My biggest fear being I'll turn up and they'll be nothing there, or not implanted like last time (not to mention MC odds in addition)

Apple I think I had just joined when you were leaving, it's nice to see a successful grad, I hope things are going well?
