Lovely news Happy welcome to the world little Ciara Grin I wish you both love, health and happiness!

Good to hear your sickness has subsided Muser I feel your pain! Went to see Faithless last night at the O2 and spent most of my time sitting down sipping water.. think it's time to slow down Hmm

Happy Sunday all x

Gi1da · 12/12/2010 15:18

Wonderful news Happy well done you. Hoping it was all ok and you are now happily resting up with your gorgeous daughter. Welcome to the world Ciara! Smile

Muser so glad to hear you're feeling better at last.

Bunny still no symptoms here, looking vicariously at yours!

Littlemiss well done you on getting a good night out, seems like a very long time ago since bedtime was before 10pm here!

Waves a pom pom in Zayja's direction and wishes everyone else a peaceful afternoon.

malteser1981 · 12/12/2010 15:33

Well done Happy and congratulations on the safe arrival on Ciara!

Muser - onwarding and outwards! Glad to hear you are feeling a difference.

Littlemiss - you might find that like me after the first trimester your energy levels return. I had a lovely night out on friday and danced til I dropped. The bonus is getting up with no hangover, the down side is the fat swollen ankles!

Not a sausage to report in Malteser Towers.
(does a slient little prayer its not Xmas day!). Good luck to Zayja and my due date buddy GLB.

Waves to all xx

sparklyrainbow · 12/12/2010 15:56

Well done Happy, congratulations on the safe arrival of Ciara :)

Things are moving in the right direction here, feeling very crampy/period painy and had a small bloody show this morning after a mucus one last night. Bump very low now. Not getting my hopes up yet, but seems everything is getting ready anyway.

Muser glad your sickness has worn off and quite Envy of littlemiss as I have no energy to do anything especially past 5pm and got back pain and BHs just walking around Waitrose this morning. Meh.

Love to all x

VivClicquot · 12/12/2010 16:30

Golly, what an exciting time for our lovely thread! Can't believe how many of you are nearly at d-day, but then I remember the madness on our sister thread when you all got your BFPs so close together - it only seems like yesterday! Will be keeping an eye on you all over the next couple of weeks :)

happygirl - So delighted to hear your news. Hope you do manage to take the lovely Ciara home today and that all goes well for your first days at home together xx

muser - fingers crossed you've seen the back of your sickness and you're onto the home straight now x

littlemiss - I don't think I've yet said 'yay!' on your good scan.

As for me - all okay here, I think. Had been having a few paranoid thoughts that the funny feelings I'd been having over the last fortnight, which I'd put down to being the baby, seem to have lessened in intensity and frequency. But I've had a few flutterings last night and this afternoon so hopefully everything's okay. It's our 20 week scan on Thursday, and given my history with anomalies, I'm shitting it, but there's nothing that worrying will change so have just got to keep positive. Wink

Hope you're all having lovely Sundays xxxx

zayja · 12/12/2010 23:51

Congratulations happy so glad to hear your news! Welcome Ciara!

Pretty exciting times! Well, nothing too exciting here yet!
sparkly - it sounds like you may beat me to it! :) So many at the top of the list - glad to have company. I go in for a non-stress test and ultrasound tomorrow to see that my little overdue bundle is still ok in there. Will try to update after that.

G'night ladies and take care!

thefatladyscreams · 13/12/2010 01:03

Huge congrats Happy - that's fantastic news and welcome to the world little Ciara. So pleased for you.

Zayja - can't believe you're top of the list! Will be looking out for an update.

VivC - can understand your nerves but there was a wonderful thread on Mumsnet ages ago with the best bits of advice people had been given. One was (put far more eloquently that this) that there was no point worrying about things as it didn't make it any more or less likely that they would happen. Hope Thursday is successfully behind you soon.

Louisesh - I think you said you were going to be off line this weekend. Thinking of you. Hope seeing the consultant bought you some answers.

thefatladyscreams · 13/12/2010 01:06

Just read back and saw Sparkly's post - blimey does sound like you might be next! DS arrived 24 hours after my show. Wonder what mini-Sparkly has in mind???

littlemiss72 · 13/12/2010 07:24

Morning all, back to Monday already! Thank god I only have one week left at work.

Looks like we have a very exciting time ahead of us with all these ladies in waiting Grin I shall take my laptop with me on holiday to keep up with all the baby news next week.

The sickness seems to have passed me now although I have terrible headaches all day Confused I have two bloomin lunch/parties this week and feel like curling up in a ball and hiding myself away from the Christmas madness. Still don't feel comfortable about telling people just yet - when do you ever feel like your in the safe zone?

sparkly looks like you might jump to the top! Wink

Not sure what's happened outside but I can see nothing.. gotham city here in London this morning!

Happy Monday all, have a wonderful day x

appleblossoms · 13/12/2010 08:27

Congratulations happygirl! Can't wait to hear all about the birth...such exciting times round here.

Sorry I disappeared last week, ds and I had a stomach bug...finally started getting better on saturday only for dh to come down with manflu!

littlemiss I feel exactly the same as you, and was going to ask the same question this morning! I'm 14 weeks and still feel too scared to tell people....and whilst I get excited thinking about having a little baby in June, I just can't link that to what's going on right now. It's hard to explain, but I feel like I'm just waiting out each day until the time comes when it suddenly dawns on me that I really am pregnant and the most probable outcome is a lovely baby at the end and I start to get excited....when will that be??? Anyone???? I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact my due date for my mmc would've been christmas week....

Hope you're all doing well this morning, less than two weeks till Christmas - who's getting excited?! I'm such a kid with christmas, I love it all so much. Going to try and do some christmassy activities with DS this week....just got to decide what a 20 month old could do, other than baking...

Good luck to sparkly, zayja, goodluckbear, malteser, gi1da, bunny ...wow, what a lot at the top, who's going to be next???!!!

PenguinsMummy · 13/12/2010 08:49

Congratulations Happygirl!

Good luck to all the ladies at the top of the list - there's going to be lots of news before Santa arrives Xmas Grin

Unbuffy · 13/12/2010 12:19

Hi everyone

Many congrats to HAPPY, I know presunkly (roughly) what you must be feeling after long labour and emcs, ouchies BUT lovely baby safe arrived nonetheless. I hope they are kind to you in hospital and you get home as soon as. x

Go SparkleyBaby, head down and push!!

Now, BabyZay, it's about time for you to start thinking about the big wide world!

Gilda hope your birthkit has arrived safely

Magicspiders how are you feeling?

Viv I'm not sure you ever stop worrying, was still poking babybump at 40+ to make sure it was still there... and still occasionally do now he's out...

Big Christmassy waves to everybody
xx

Goodluckbear · 13/12/2010 12:32

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd drop in and say hi, sorry I've been AWOL for a while - went on maternity leave and then didn't have internet access at home!! Anyway, no news here. Am having a blue day for some reason, it's quite hard to cheer yourself up when you are at home alone I find? I cried a lot last night and so didn't sleep well, which is probably why I'm still down today.

Congrats to the new arrivals!! And best of luck to everyone else near the top of the list. And big hugs to everyone, especially those waiting for scans and having a nerve wracking time.

xxxxx

Muser · 13/12/2010 13:00

My second GTT was on Thursday Magic8ball and this time I made it through! Just need to wait for the results.

Goodluckbear what's got you down? Are there things you can do during the day to get you out of the house? Maybe some exercise classes, or meet ups, or just going for a walk? I hope you feel better soon.

sparklyrainbow · 13/12/2010 13:41

Hmm, sparklybaby has decided to stay where he is for the time being, aches and pains have pretty much stopped. Feel a bit odd though, bit nauseous and restless. Knowing my luck I'll be like this for weeks so I reckon you'll still be next Zayja, hope everything ok today :)

GLB know what you mean about being a bit down and home alone. Friend was coming round later but has sensibly cancelled as her daughter is off school with D&V and now I'm a bit :( after a really bad night sleep wise too.

apple think I let myself believe a bit more when I felt movement and then more so after I'd had my 20 week scan and had more proof everything was ok.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 13/12/2010 14:15

I meant the nurse btw.

Hey Buffs!! How is Bubbabuff??? I am itching soooooooo much, think I might try some of that Aveeno moisturiser? Bump is measuring 38 weeks (I am 26 tomorrow Shock ) sounds about right though if you are full term singleton size at 28 weeks......it is not helping with the nesting. I need one of these Grin

Big hugs for GLB & Sparkly xxx

Well done Muser with your gtt. Not even had a call from the hospital about the mess up yesterday Angry

Goodluckbear · 13/12/2010 14:33

Hi again,

I think it's just the weight of expectation that's getting me down - family coming to spend Christmas at ours (potentially days after I've given birth?), people texting and emailing all the time asking when they can come and visit - and I find it really difficult to say no or lower their expectations. I'm just terrible at making clear what I want, I don't want to upset anyone's Christmas so I end up tip toeing around it all. And DH just keeps telling me to tell them all to back off, but I just hate to see the disappointment, and then I feel like I've let him down by not sorting it all out. The worst thing would be going into labour on Christmas Day, and having to ask everyone to leave.....they live a long way away, so there isn't anywhere for them to go on the day really. I guess I just feel like I don't have anyone to talk to, like there's no-one on my side.

Gah!!

I'm going to go for a little walk in a bit and play some happy music on my mp3 player. Sorry for being a downer, I think I just need some more sleep!! Hope you get more too Sparkly.

xxxx

Muser · 13/12/2010 14:52

I think DH needs to step in for you Goodluck, that's his job, to be the bouncer. He needs to tell everyone to back off and leave you be.

Are you really hosting Christmas? I would not want to do that. Could you maybe back out of it? Or book a restaurant that everyone can go to instead? It just seems like a lot to have to go through.

toomuchteaching · 13/12/2010 17:09

Oooh happy, brill news about the safe arrival of Ciara. Hope you are enjoying your time with her.

Welcome back apples, hope the tummy is better. And welcome back from hols clare, hope the truck was speedy.

Sorry to those having down days, I hope you can feel cheerier soon GLB and sparkly.

Wowzer magic I feel for you in the stretchy/itchy department! When did you say they were going to stop you? I can't imagine all the wriggliness that comes with two babies... amazing! Is anyone else itchy in less than obvious places? I'm finding my lower shins intensely itchy today.

littlemiss I told a few people around the 16 week mark I think, but really went public (to those people I wasn't seeing every day) after my 20 week scan. I don't think it really sinks in that it's for real for a very long time, and even now when I wake up in the night I can't go back to sleep until I have felt a movement. I don't think I'll stop worrying until I've got an actual baby... and even then lets face it, that's only the start of the worry!

Fingers crossed for Thursday Viv.

Hope you've had another non-sicky day Muser.

Gi1da has the kit arrived, is it like Christmas!?! What do you get!?

Hello also to new mums, samb and unbuffy, effi and sarahlou and TFLS... hope you're all doing well.

And good labour vibes to zayja and all those in the vicinity, which nearly includes me... eek!

I just worked my last Monday. Hurrah.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 13/12/2010 18:06

Blimey GLB you are brave hosting xmas. You should be putting your feet up and letting everyone wait on you. What exactly do you want to do my lovely? As for people texting you, tell them that when you have any news you will contact them and let them know when it is ok to visit. People WILL understand xx

Toomuch Someone on the itchy thread recommended Aveeno moisturiser as it contains oatmeal (apparently they do a powder too that you can put in your bath)......have just been out and bought some along with loads of cottony yoga trousers as I am sooooooo bloomin uncomfortable. Yay for no more working Mondays! I have 2 1/2 weeks to go!
