The 12 week wait - Would anyone like to join me?

This may be a bit early as I know a lot can happen this early on but thought I would tentively see if there is anyone else in the same situation.

I found out I am 4 weeks pregnant this weekend. I am trying not to get too excited as it is so early but am finding it hard not to be!

We have told my mum but have decided not to tell anyone else yet hence the reason I am here as I am desperate to talk about it.

Would anyone else like to join me on the 12 week wait and share feelings and experiences?

hi badktty you are due within days of me - did you pay for an early scan? mine seems ages away! have u had any symptoms yet?

Yes I paid for an early scan as wasn't sure of dates and stuff and didn't want to wait that long! I just feel generally a bit ropey - bloated, bit sicky and off my food, wake up every morning feeling like I'm coming down with something but apparently its just pregnancy!

Well Ladies, as founder of this thread I am pleased to say that my 12 week wait is up. I had my first scan today and it was comfirmed that I am 12 weeks and 4 days and due on 24th June. It was lovely seeing the baby wiggling around and seeing the heart beat. I just need to stop being sick and being worried about everything and then I will be on top of the world

I have my private scan tomorrow - cant wait. I hope everything is ok.

Mind you will still continue to worry after that!!

What was your scan like? Details please

It was lovley. I was really nervous going in but the midwife was lovey and I told her about my fear that it was not a baby and just a chocolate biscuit but she put the thing on my tummy and up popped my baby wiggling around and I must admit the odd tear may have slipped out! She spent ages as the baby was not in the right position for the nucal measurement but I didn't mind because I got to look at it for ages, my tummy does feel bruised today though from all the prodding!

baby choo is a disco mover!!! Scan went fine and my dates changed to what I originally worked it out as with me due July 18 th! It was the epu that dated me ahead.

Am so so so happy. Hopefully everything will continue fine as I love my little disco bean! Was wiggling, waving and kicking. heartbeat strong too.

Wish I had videoed it now. Got some good pics tho. the good thing is will be Xmas then holiday then my next scan so the wait but be too bad this time.

Happy, happy, feel sick but still happy! after 2 losses am pleased.

Congratulations jimmychoo! My next scan is Feb 8th which really doesn't seem that long away with christmas. I can't wait to find out what I am having!

Next scan will be around 11 Jan ish can't wait but pleased have holiday to relax in between. Was lovely to hear heartbeat. Easy money for private consultants mind! But worth every penny for how it's helped me

I had 12 week scan yesterday - actually moved my dates forwards a bit so makes me due on 27th July. Was great, baby was fine and wriggling around :)

Can I join please? I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, and the wait is excrutiating! Had a bit of spotting the other day, so will be getting an early scan in couple of weeks...fingers crossed all is ok as no other way of telling at this stage.

Is anyone else getting a teeny tiny bump at this stage?! I'm really bloated as well, but that's higher up and this is like a little pointy bump lower down :)

I thought I had a bump that early but was more bloating. At 13 weeks my womb moved up and popped out! It's pushed my belly out so is more belly than baby but can feel it really firm now. Can't wait for it to be a recognizable bump rather than look like I've eaten too many pies!!

Mmmmmmm tips for the wait...keep yourself busy and not with too much baby stuff! From weeks 5 to 11 they really dragged. I had two early scans due to previous losses and I had some spotting early on. Once I got to 9weeks I felt better as was when I lost my first. I luckily had Xmas to focus on and I had a trip to thailand from 11 weeks to 13 weeks and that certainly helped!! I felt quite rough from early on so found it hard to get up and do stuff but when I could I threw myself into things to keep my brain occupied!!! It's the longest wait ever I know but it'll pass plus there are lots of people on here to help keep u thru it
