I'm sure DS (2.7) is more than ready but have been putting it off as long as possible. Today is the day I bite the bullet.

I sneaked out in lunch break yesterday and bought:

2 potty's
1 loo seat things
12 pairs of pants
2 pairs tracksuit bottoms
Some fab 'Cars' stamps (combining DS favourite loves - 'Cars' and stamps)

So far we have had 3 wees on potty (woot, holler, high fives), 2 wees on floor.

Am calm, but bored to death. Want to go out and do stuff!

Is it ok to have Cbeebies marathon when potty training!?

its true he does eat like a horse! Maybe that's where I'm going wrong!

No, cold and voice still horrendous but will have to go to work tomorrow - really can't take time off.

It will DS's 1st day away from home whilst not totally (but well on the way, I think) toilet trained.

little miss tickles that is so funny! you are devious. SHe is only just two a month ago so I think another birthday party in a month might confuse her lolol

LOL at birthday party too!! How funny!
Have been lurking on this thread, dd 2.4, started potty training last Friday, then had a letter from pre-school asking if she would like to start Tuesday (talk about spanner in the works!) So after much deliberation carried on and decided to send to pre-school in pull-ups, and changing back into knickers when home again, only managed a few trips out so far, though she did have a wee in a cafe toilet on Sunday. I am still mainly prompting potty-use. All in all, not going too bad, maybe 3 out of 4 wees in potty, usually poos first thing in nappy, but have managed to catch one in potty so far. Anyway I'll probably persevere til Friday and then re-evaluate whether I can be bothered to carry on!
dd is my third but all knowledge on previous TT-ing has vanished!
Hope all has gone ok for your ds today chocolateshoes and everyone else

Hi Rodeo welcome!

Did your DD start pre-school today? How did she get on?

No accidents 2 days in a row here! And he didn't even ask for choc buttons at my parents! How I'm going to wean him of them here I have no idea!

Hello all, please help me!I am potty training twin boys 2.6 months old. They showed all those signs...and I was soooo sure.Fool!

We started 9 days ago and as bigbadwoolf says it was potty timing not training, but on day 6 and 7 we had no accidents but only Ben asked to go once. So I decided to get them to ask to go....

So we have been out in the garden yesterday and today and it goes okish for the morning then 4,5 accidents between them after sleeps, trying to get them to tell me doesnt seem to be working.....

I am so bored and finding it hard to stay kind. Shall we go back to hourly prompts? Ughhhh

Help please!

Hi there, I have been toilet training my youngest son since May this year and it is really stressing me out. He is 3 on 28 August and due to start nursery on 29 September and I have been told by the school that he must be done. My eldest son is staying with MIL for a week in the hope that we can crack now. My middle child (daughter) is always playing with my youngest child and he often forgets himself. I did start off by having a potty chair downstairs and a toilet seat on the toilet upstairs and a stool next to the toilet, he seems to know when he needs to wee as he will run upstairs, but knowing when he needs to do a poo is a different matter. Yesterday, I was putting on for a poo every hour or so and nothing all day, and then this morning my hubby was up early and hubby took off his nappy and he did a wee in the toilet, and then he put him in pull ups and then my daughter woke me up to say he had filled his pants!! My son wears underpants during the day and if i go out there is always a potty in the back of the car and he always says when the car has stopped that he needs to go. I feel like it is a competition with other parents with children of a similar age to my son, they will say that they had their child done in 2 days or a week. Any suggestions anyone please!!!

Started potty training over week ago, son loves wearing pants and can do wee and sometimes poo in toilet. But never asks to go to toilet, its only if I take him. So if I don't ask he just wee's where he is on sofa, at the dinner table. There is potty in lounge but he never uses it. Have rewarded him with stickers and chocolate for going. How do I get him to ask to go?
