Great that hazels operation went well schulte.

PuzzleRockinAroundTheXmasTree · 16/12/2010 20:38

Conker - GingerSarah is pregnant.

Schulte - Congrats to your brother. My nephew was 5 weeks prem. He is 3 months old now and has just matched Holly's birth weight.

bebemoohatessnot · 17/12/2010 13:31

Bebemoo is pregnant too...but only just...5weeks if she can make it to Christmas she's out of the woods with her 'typical' losses...

bebemoohatessnot · 17/12/2010 13:37

Hope everyone is doing well today :)
I spent the morning clearing snow from the nieghborhood again :) and then walking with Meg up to the shop...ended up having to carry the monster all the way there actually, and back again...she's heavy in the first place, but with all her snow kit on and the groceries I'm surprised I'd didn't keel over...
Why do people not shovel their sidewalks?

My house which I'm supposed to have clean for my MIL visit is a shambols, but for some reason I'm not really caring. ;) :)

PuzzleRockinAroundTheXmasTree · 17/12/2010 16:35

AuldAlliance · 19/12/2010 13:36

CONGRATULATIONS BEBE!!!!

Excellent news.

Once you and Bicnod have defected to your new ante-natal threads, will you promise to pop back occasionally and see us?

Schulte, I'm so glad little H is happier after surgery. Hopefully 2011 will be a more serene year for you.

My GP thinks the surgeon damaged a vein during surgery, though he didn't put it in his report. My knee has clearly bled far more than expected, is still very swollen, stiff and full of fluid, which is why I can't walk. Have ditched crutches and am hobbling around like an old wifey. Was chatted up by a 75-80 yr old man on my front steps yesterday. Shock He has clearly spotted me before as he said, "I preferred you without crutches." I have no idea who he was, and am a bit Hmm at being thus observed by old men. Even more Hmm that limping makes me a more likely catch for them.

MIL has rearranged my kitchen cupboards. Didn't ask, didn't tell me she'd done it. I limped over to get the mixer, and found potatoes instead.

BicNoddyHolder · 19/12/2010 19:19

I won't be defecting anywhere. I am and always will be an April mum Xmas Grin

Sorry Auld, I don't usually LOL but LOL at your new sexy hobble making you a magnet for strange old men Xmas Grin When do you get to kick the MIL out (or just kick her)?

O was horrendous last night. He was basically awake between 1am and 6am screaming. I feel like a total zombie. I'm hoping it's either molars (he had calpol and nurofen so not a lot else I could do on that front) or the 18 month sleep regression and will pass. Otherwise I may have to throw him out of the window.

Schulte · 19/12/2010 20:51

Anyone want to join a discussion here ?

Bicnod, sorry to hear about bad night. Hope you'll get some sleep tonight! Do you ever bring him into your bed... not saying it's a good idea but that's usually what gives DH and me another hour's sleep in the morning. How are you feeling anyway lovely?

Any other April babies scared of the snow? H won't go anywhere near it!

OP posts:
wekingbeat23oforientare · 19/12/2010 21:07

Bicnod, I too have been having problems with sleep. Iris is currently sleeping in my bed until i get her to sleep and then i transfer her to her bed once she is asleep, then she screams at 3/4 when she comes into my bed again until 7. As it's just me, I haven't the strength to do full on sleep training and when i did try last week she roared for 2 hours and has got back into the head banging again, only this time she is a bit bigger and throws herself around. She banged her head so hard on the carpet strip last week she had a massive bruise on her forehead and i had to take her to the dr's....we shall see how it goes from here!!

Schulte - I too have a baby who has absolutely nointerest in the snow whatsoever, hates it, took her out today she had a full on tantrum and refused to go anywhere...have been in the house for days, am glad to go back to work tomorrow!!

grr at kitchen rearrangements, i would be really pissed off about that tbh, i am quite finicky about where things go in my flat...oh boy! good luck

Schulte · 19/12/2010 21:17

Oh yes, Auld, forgot to say, MIL also rearranges my kitchen cupboards. Clearly the way I organise my kitchen is wrong Hmm

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 19/12/2010 22:22

Bebe, congratulations!

Auld, if I can get out tomorrow I might be able to post your care parcel.

Felix loves the snow and went toboganning today for the first time. He also loves Christmas trees and stands in front of them fondling the ornaments, quietly going 'ooh' and 'aah' to himself. It's lovely. Grin

All my chaps have had RSV this week, which sounds like a type of lorry but is in fact a virus that is quite like flu. DS2 had a temp of 105.5C at one point, which for a 9yr old is quite dramatic. But they are getting better now.

AuldAlliance · 20/12/2010 08:40

Boff, thanks for thinking of me!
Will email you in a moment.

Am stunned at all these MILs who reorganise kitchen cupboards. Can't even imagine how mine would react if I did the same thing in her house...!

Sorry to hear about sleepless nights. My two are son exhausted, they are still sleeping, and it is 9.40 here!

ZuluWassailer · 20/12/2010 09:56

My mother once moved my bedroom to the next door room. Does that count?

AuldAlliance · 20/12/2010 10:45

Zulu, Shock.

That reminds me, when my Mum went to France on her year abroad as a student, she returned to find that her parents had moved house w/o telling her, and thrown out most of her stuff. She had a "guest room" in their new house.

And my aunt on my father's side loves to relate how she went travelling one summer and when she came home her parents had moved to a flat where they hadn't given her a bedroom. She slept on an army camp bed in the dark, cobwebby attic for months before going to college.

Maybe MIL is a kind old dear, after all.

Schulte · 20/12/2010 11:59

Hee hee

I am quite looking forward to sending my girls off to university and reclaiming their bedroom as mine Grin

The interesting thing is that my MIL didn't get on with her own MIL, so much so that she once had to escape from her IL's house for a whole day without saying where she was going.

She set off with very good intentions and never tried to interfere, but recently she seems to have lost her rags a bit.
