....where we ditch the talk of babies/lack of sleep etc and concentrate on some Salient Social Planning

  • where to meet
  • when to meet
  • what to wear
  • what to drink
Who's up for it then ladies?

And also - logistics aside, let's not forget the initial excitement.
For example: I Bake A Mean Triple Chocolate Brownie.

any other talents to bring to the table?

Yoohoo! I'm about to read the thread but wanted to mark my place as Im sure to be incase I get distracted...

But seeing melk listing baking a mean triple chocolate brownie, I feel compelled to say I have discovered a alent for eating brownie (that's the cake (biscuit?), not cute little girls in uniform jumping over toadstools whilst swearing to do their duty to god and queen; actually do they still do that?)

MandaHugNKiss · 10/06/2010 16:44

Flisspaps · 20/06/2010 22:45

I'm in Telford...I've namechanged recently so you probably won't recognise me, and haven't posted much in ages in p/n - must try harder...

BusyMissIzzy · 21/06/2010 09:16

Ooh, Flisspaps, who are you? I've seen you in Chat/AIBU, didn't realise I might know you. Like the name btw

Arcadie · 21/06/2010 14:01

Right. Sept 18th & 19th. Who's in? Come to York. You know you want to.

And Fliss who might you have been in a previous nameincarnation?

Flisspaps · 21/06/2010 16:05

I used to be a blonde...changed because I used my old name on a variety of other forums where I was known in RL and didn't want to get spotted on here. It's very refreshing to have a new name actually, I'm saying what I think far more because the fear of being 'outed' has gone away!

Pingpong · 21/06/2010 16:30

I've seen your name on other threads too flisspaps but had no idea you were a MMMM. I'm now going to have to wrack my brain to think who you are
I'm not going to Eurodisney and neither is IWCAS
18th and 19th September in York might work for me but it is a very long way by train, might look at other options.
As I said before if it works for the majority then go for it I won't sulk too much

BusyMissIzzy · 21/06/2010 18:02

Ah, I think I know... were you originally a Feb mum-to-be? Won't 'out' you just in case.

Sept 18th/19th works for me. Long way away though, the babies will be so big by then!

Pingpong · 21/06/2010 21:14

I had to go back and look at 'the list' !

I think I can do Sept 18th/19th too...I'm excited that we might soon get to MEET. What if we hate each other in RL???

MandaHugNKiss · 10/07/2010 23:01

Remarking a spot...

Ah. I have two (count 'em) weddings to attend on the 18th so that's me as a 'no can do'

siamesecatwoman · 12/07/2010 09:06

Im on hols that weekend in Devon so Im out.
Manda - two weddings? What are you going to do? Comedy movie 1 hour here in this outfit one hour there in another outfit, dashing across town on a variety of modes of transport?

Or just leave one early

donttrythisathome · 15/07/2010 21:04

I'm free then. Where are we thinking folks?

PacificDogwood · 18/07/2010 15:15

Oooh, 19/19th Sept in York would be fabby for me , yes please!

2 weddings, Manda?? at evidence of a social life...

If this is actually going to happen, I'd be happy to offer a lift to anybody from Central Scotland or between here and York (as I'd be travelling with unfeasably and embarrassingly large vehicle).

With your lottery win, IWCAS, could we all please go here? Please? Pretty please?

I've just priced a week for us and my parents in October: 5300 Euro !!

I'll settle for a B+B in York but will bring champagne .

Sariska · 19/07/2010 23:22

Darn it. I forgot this was in the pipeline when I agreed to DH going on a hockey training weekend. He's all signed (and paid) up for it now, which leaves me with sole care of one toddler and one baby that w/e. Much as I love my 2 yo, no way am I bringing him all the way to York by myself. Again, darn it.

Hmmm, I wonder if a grandparent might step up to the line for me?

SmacsGonePotty · 19/07/2010 23:42

I'm thinking grandparent for the 2 yo as well sariska.

sunshinesarahandco · 20/07/2010 15:54

so do we have a PLAN yet?

MandaHugNKiss · 20/07/2010 20:28

Well, okay, so techincally I'm invited to a wedding (the whole shebang - so service, meal, reception) and wedding reception that day. Not so difficult to juggle - attend ceremony/meal of one and parrrtay of t'other (sober of course, can't imagine I'll have given up bf by then). But, seriously, pd these are the first things I'll be going to since the birth - my social life does not exist in any guise at the mo. I can't even manage my monthly book club evening . I mean, okay, techincally we still eat out quite a lot but James comes with. In my book, that Does Not Count.

MandaHugNKiss · 20/07/2010 20:30

And I'll have James with me at both too so... yeah.

I wanna come to a meeeeet.
