....where we ditch the talk of babies/lack of sleep etc and concentrate on some Salient Social Planning

  • where to meet
  • when to meet
  • what to wear
  • what to drink
Who's up for it then ladies?

Iron? Crackers.
Although I am painting my toenails for the occasion, despite them being covered by boots when I see you.

Madly excited. I used to Internet date when I was at uni ( bored and disliked boy students rather than desperate. ). I met some mentallers I tell you! I had a code word I had to say to my friends when they called to check on me. At least I don't have to do that this weekend - do I? Dave?

BusyMissIzzy · 18/11/2010 18:57

Depends what you mean by mentallers Grin

FlipFantasia · 18/11/2010 20:06

Siamese Grin at code word. And fully agree that Sarah is made to be ironing! Though I have a pile of shirts to iron myself this evening [exciting!].

Meeting at the station is a great idea. My train gets in at 11.56 (or 11.57) so shall head for the Starbucks then.

[does an excited little dance at the prospect of seeing you all on Saturday]

sparklersarahandco · 18/11/2010 21:12

hahahaha- wonder who will turn out to be the hairy trucker!!!!LMAO

so blooming excited!!!!GrinBear

sparklersarahandco · 18/11/2010 21:18

heehee- oh and BTW is everyone bringing swimwear for the use of the pool?

PacificDogwood · 18/11/2010 21:18

Sarah is made to be ironing? Really?? Can I bring my ironing for her to do?? Grin

No ironing going on here. In fact, not much packing either Blush. Too excited about Pixie's news! But cake is baking (in the breadmaker, mind, will have unglamourous hole where the paddle came out, but it was that or NO cake).

I will have capacity for another 2 babies and mummies on Saturday if anybody needs a lift to the cottage - bring your own carseat, though. And you'd need to be prepared to PnR it back to my rugrat mobile.

Please place Wookie in a prominent position so I will recognise you Wink. Or will the group of mentallers with offspring be obvious, I wonder?

Codeword: Flappy the bat? Fairy hammock?

Grin
PacificDogwood · 18/11/2010 21:19

Oh gawd, no swimwear as that would necessitate Veet etc

BusyMissIzzy · 18/11/2010 21:24

I've plucked my eyebrows today already simaese, will be shaving tomorrow morning Grin Speaking of which, to those staying over, there's a swimming pool at the cottage, so bring swimwear for yourself and the little 'uns if you fancy it.

BusyMissIzzy · 18/11/2010 21:24

siamese even.

BusyMissIzzy · 18/11/2010 21:25

x-posts Blush I typed my post about 10 mins ago and forgot to post it.

Arcadie · 18/11/2010 21:39

JUst so i can sort child care arrangement with DH

friday - pick up BMI and take her to Asda the new York Waitrose. Drop her at Priestley Cottage at 3:30ish (or whenever shopping extravaganza finishes) I'll skidaddle back home at some point after that to feed my 3DC and shove them in bed before hightailing it back over to the cottage to consume food and fun with you all.

I'll shove off home whenever you kick me out on Friday night Grin Are you planning on Swimming on Friday? (please say no - I have SUCH hairy legs that I might need a couple of days to shave) Oh yeah - I'm the hairy trucker apparently.

Saturday - Meet PD et al at 12noon at Starbucks. I'll just have Simeon with me. (promise!) Will waddle you guys down to the Spurriergate (which takes about 15 mins with a buggy and crowds). Lunch. Pootle round town.

Here's where I need a little bit of a heads up about plans. I'd really love to be able to get back to the cottage with you on Sat for food (please note I WILL contribute towards it - not freeloading) and it'd be lovely if I can do so sans car so that I can taxi back later and have a glass or two of vino with you. Would one of the people who's going to PnR at Grimston Bar be able to give me a lift back out to Claxton? I'll probably (depending on what time of day we leave town) take Simeon back home and leave him in DH's capable hands and can easily walk to PnR or give someone directions to my house ( about 10 mins walk from Grimston). Melk? Sarah? Siamese? would that be possible? I'm aware that one of you will have to bring BMI in from Claxton to the PnR as well. Could one of you give me a lift back to the cottage after the city centre fest?

Phew. Sorry to be a nitpicker - but as I say, i need to let DH know roughly what's expected of him!

sparklersarahandco · 18/11/2010 22:02

i am ok with being a taxi RKD0 u say when and where i will do it!Grin

i am still trying to talk icwas into coming!!!HEEHEE

FlipFantasia · 18/11/2010 22:06

Sarah of course that should have been mad to be ironing - I am in no way implying you're made to do ironing GrinGrin

BusyMissIzzy · 18/11/2010 22:08

sarah tell iwcas that if she doesn't come, it will make Pombear cry Bear:(

sparklersarahandco · 18/11/2010 22:10

heehee, i actually iron very little! lol just thought i had better make an effort! :)

Arcadie · 18/11/2010 22:13

Cheers Sparkler

Good luck with IWCAS

BusyMissIzzy · 19/11/2010 07:39

Morning everyone. Isobel has a cold too now :( It's not bothering her too much, but I'm more worried about her passing it on. I couldn't get to sleep this morning wondering about whether I should still come. If anyone's about, what's the general consensus?

Siamesecatwoman · 19/11/2010 07:58

Don't be daft of course you should come. You can sit nx to me, I've got a cold too as of this morning.
You could be super careful about washing your hands and stuff but basically we all might pick up colds in Sainsburys or on the bus, and we wouldn't have the pleasure of your company but still catch one.
That's my opinion though. Maybe someone else will differently?
See you tomorrow :) ?

MummyElk · 19/11/2010 08:08

agree with siamese. don't be daft. get thee on't train (see how i'm getting into the york lingo...Grin)

PacificDogwood · 19/11/2010 08:36

Yes, BMI, DO come - germs are for sharing GrinWink.

IWCAS, gawn, gawn, you know you want to.

I am happy to perfom taxi duties as well as long as I get directions...

Dh took 2 bottles of wine out of his precious wine cooler for me to take along Shock - eh, I think I will need to educate him about the needs of mothers meeting to drink chat.

Righto, must do some work now

sparklersarahandco · 19/11/2010 11:13
