GreenGardenia · 30/03/2010 23:31

Insomnia.

TwilightSurfer · 31/03/2010 00:51

I AM SO TIRED I CAN HARDLY MOVE. Here's hoping all the fresh air and sunshine help me sleep like a ...not a baby....like bear in winter.

VG I'm sorry for the insomnia and the wintery weather. I'll send you some of mine!

Morning Dizzy Can't get on facebook as 'working' so can't see your picture, but are you just wet or is it worse? I am hoping for no snow for you guys.

Knackered here too but all my own fault due to not going to bed at 10.30pm but fannying around for another hour. Must go to bed early tonight...

Oh and I have bumped my fecking car again , reversing into the car park at work I thought the metal plate on the wall was a bumper but it wasn't. My poor car

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/03/2010 08:34

Morning

Who invited the blasted wind this direction? I lie awake listening to the sheds/garden furniture and trees trying to take off. I still haven'topened the curtains to see if anything is broken. It woke DD at 11.30 and at 5 when I brought her in with me and she slept until 7 so not all bad.

DH still sleeping and not up and about in the night so assuming all is okay.

Dizzy - nice tree angle! Did DH get home okay?

Sazz- enjoy your swim.

HP - morning

hotterpotter · 31/03/2010 08:38

Sounds wild oops! Luckily we have not had much extreme weather just shed loads of rain yesterday but no wind (or snow) although apparently there were some cars with a couple of inches of white stuff on them around this morning. Had to put my gloves on to drive in though, and think painting my toes was a little premature

Sazz have a lovely swim

dizzydixies · 31/03/2010 09:09

Oops I presume so or Ive been cuddling some random! Feel a bit bad now as when changing Dylan am now 99% sure she has chicken pox, sigh. Off to soca, will let you know

GreenGardenia · 31/03/2010 09:19

Oh poor D! Hope not .

Windy cold and wet here too.

GladioliBuckets · 31/03/2010 09:20

Soca? Isn't that a West Indian dance craze?

VG Have you tried eating lettuce before bed (or taking lettuce extract pills from health food shop.)

Another day indoors today I think, am over yesterday's migraine hangover, now have a slight cold, as does Kurt. Plus the first Lord Peter Wimsey mystery arrived from Greenmetropolis yesterday and I am behind on my annual reading challenge (only finished 3 books so far, bloody Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell.)

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/03/2010 09:54

Dizzy - I knew you are important but organised crime ?? Hope D not poxie.

Buckets - somethimes your posts lose me totally and I just smile.

VG do you have insomnia? I read it as one of the horrible pregnancy side effects so ignored it. If you are suffering hope you get some sleep soon.

GreenGardenia · 31/03/2010 09:54

Oh I was thinking of soma from Brave New World, perhaps is what I need.

Yes lettuce meant to be soporific, I remember from Peter Rabbit dropping off after gorging, my mum always adding the herbal medicine lesson on afterwards! Think it's because dp's been away for a few days, always feels odder alone.

I'm managing to get reading properly again, am reading this, just exactly my cup of non-fiction tea.

No1 I didn't respond to you yesterday though I read your post. Not really sure what to say other than I am glad you are in a safe spot with your mum and I am sorry ds seems to be unsettled. And sorry about the aggressive / undermining messages etc., no matter how you rationalise them it's dreadful hearing or reading anything like that. Keep strong.

dizzydixies · 31/03/2010 09:54

soca??!! sodding iphone - Dr has confirmed indeed it is the pox so we're now furnished with ibuprofen/paracetamol/anti-histamen/bicarb and nelsons tea tree cream -

GreenGardenia · 31/03/2010 09:55

I abandoned J. Strange. I hated it.

GreenGardenia · 31/03/2010 09:55

Oh no! Poor darling I hope it's not too uncomfortable for her I presume your older misses have had it already?

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/03/2010 09:56

Oh no Dizz hope she is not too grumpy and itchy.

GreenGardenia · 31/03/2010 09:57

iirc it's not a risk in pregnancy?

CaptainCaveman · 31/03/2010 09:57

No wind here, but you missed that off the list of pg side effects - I trumped like a trouper!

We're off to Watermeadows today - a swim place with slides, wave machine etc. O in nursery so its me and my gorgeous biggest boy . Mucho fun.

At present I have no pg envy, I really think I'm done with 2

dizzydixies · 31/03/2010 09:57

E had it when L was 6-7 months and we weren't sure if L had it or not - possibly a light smattering, time shall tell if she'll get it too - that should be fun

D stomping about in her wellies beating lumps out of her dad with her beloved baby so discomfort not too much apparently

CaptainCaveman · 31/03/2010 09:59

dizzy i hope mini-dixie doesn't suffer too badly. Neither of mine have had it yet.

Hi VG, Hi OOps and Hi Buckets

CaptainCaveman · 31/03/2010 10:00

Hi Hotpot , sorry I missed you off there!

GreenGardenia · 31/03/2010 10:08

I think you can expect cece to drift by on an infection mission if past form is a guide to future performance

GreenGardenia · 31/03/2010 10:08

dizz on Sunday I heard a brill poet from Fife - John Burnside. He was reading at a festival here.

My new hero.

GladioliBuckets · 31/03/2010 10:10

Ooh VG That looks fascinating, have sent the link to my mum as she writes Victorian murders. Her heroine was raised in Australia on the run with her mum and conman stepdad, found a gay husband in India who then died and has at last found respectability with his family in Hampshire. If only it weren't for these troublesome bodies that keep turning up... And her grandmother might just be Becky Sharpe from Vanity Fair. Have I sold it yet?

I too have given up on Strange and Norrell, just wasted far too long reaching that decision.

Oops Dorothy L Sayers books from online book bring&buy. Does that make more sense?
