Pistachio ds3.5 is in 4 yrs now but when he was in 3-4 struggled to get pj pants on under them!

50ft strange isn't it how they vary! Natasha has very short legs but a long wide body not very good for coordinating outfits lol

pepperrabbit · 05/03/2010 21:20

DD is still comfortably in 9-12 months for most things - her sleepysuits still bag around her feet!
She very nearly almost took a step today DH and I were both there which was nice. Not that sentimental about things like that, but I'm glad we both saw her!
No idea what she weighs, but I'm probably going to shift her up a car seat size when I get the next one down from the attic - she's still in the baby seat you can carry them about in!

Oh bless her still being in the baby seat pepper! At least you've had good value for money out of that!

You can mention ds' generous proportions now that I'm around pistachio! Dh looked up ds' stats in the red book the other day and he's actually only 50th centile for height, but ninety something for weight .

I don't suppose that mothers' day will honour me in any way other than receiving a card. We are seeing the in-laws, though haven't decided where yet i don't think.

Hi all, Poppy is still fairly petite so prob about the 21-22lb mark, altho I've not had her weighed or done it myself for months!

Ekka · 06/03/2010 08:16

Well, when we had ds weighed before his MMR he was 10kg (clothed) so he is still on the petite side despite eating far more than dd (mind you, she is only about 27lbs and she'll be 3 in June

I've posted an amusing video of ds and dd dancing on fb if anyone needs a laugh. You'll need your sound up high so you can hear the words of the song in the background. In fact ds is being pretty restrained in that video - he reduced the entire adult section of the Tumbletots class to hysteria last week with his dancing to the Hokey Cokey

MrsNetz · 06/03/2010 08:54

Quite a few dinky ones!! Ds was always 75 for weight and 90 th for height! So dd is a bit of a shock. She eats more than him andhe is 3.5!!

-So unalike (is that a word) wonder if slight mix of petree dishes with ds-

Post everything that you eat every day this week, at the end of each day, and we'll see what we can suggest.

Myjob - You need to eat more protein than you do, you need to eat low fat dairy and you need to try and snack on low calorie fruit or veggies between meals. This will help to boost your metabolism but without adding many calories to your daily intake. I don't agree with low carbohydrate/high protein diets, but you need a bit more protein than you're currently eating. Your meals are very carbohydrate heavy. Don't be scared of fats as you need some fat to function and healthy fat (like olive oil) is certainly better than sugar or processed carbohydrates. You need to stop weighing yourself everyday, CSWS is right on that and I am sure I've said it to you before. Get DH to hide the scales to stop you being tempted. It's no good for your mental well being and weighing yourself umpteen times a day does not give you a realistic picture of how your food is affecting your weight. If you ate 4lbs of celery, then weighed yourself, your weight will probably increase by a couple of pounds, but 4lbs of celery is not going to put weight or fat on you in the long term. We tiny people (I'm talking build here people, I know I am still far from tiny) can't eat as much as taller people but we should still be able to eat more than 1000 cals a day and still lose weight.

Right after my mini lecture I am going to check the rest of the posts....

50ftQueenie · 06/03/2010 12:30

Lots of illing going on! Hope everyone who is suffering gets better soon, not least of all poor little Q.

I am suffering from a severe case of the grumps. I am fed-up with pretty much everything and have no idea how to snap out of this funk. I think I've been stuck in a routine for too long, I'm not a routine kinda gal. Hrumph!

StarExpat · 06/03/2010 13:25

oh myjob I don't know what to suggest. I am the worst role model for weight loss as I go about it in the most unhealthy way and for stupid reasons. Listen to 50ft.

I'm having a crap day. We had fun at an outing/event this morning all together but on way out, traffic and crazy drivers - well, dh blamed me and then got snippy with everything I said. Then he said soemthing funny when I was putting Q down, I laughed and he snapped at me with a really snobby voice! I called him on it and he claims "all I said was..." blah. whatever it's not my imagination. He says he's so tired. doesn't want to talk to me right now... isn't that great?? He HAS had a hard week - lots of things happened to him, but I'm sick of being the one he takes it out on.
I'm going to post on fb group now.

pepperrabbit · 06/03/2010 18:04

star I have responded ferociously calmly and reasonably on fb!
as many have said before your dh needs a slap
we've had a good day, excepting the bit for DH where they did the graveside thing interring his granny's ashes, I stayed back with the kids and met them in the restaurant for lunch. We went to the local Ask, don't ask me for any dietary advice today!! I had everything!!!! All the kids like it and while it wasn't perhaps quite what DHs (childless, 60 yr old) Uncle was expecting he was quite terrified relaxed about the whole thing. 4 boys of 3/4/5/6 is quite a handful with DD to keep an eye on as well!
God knows when they'll get to bed as DD had her sleep form 4-5pm in the end

It must be the celery cut that out of your diet immediately!!
Seriously, it looks like a good diet to me...
I'm sure someone else will be along soon.
Did you put yogurt ON the bread? Is that common to do? I've never heard of that before! But it actually sounds quite yummy!!
