Sazzles I know. How very cool and what incredible memories.

Would someone like a 6 year old who still has 3 more hours on her current decongestant dose?

Cyteen when is your period due? I can just imagine my DH's reaction if I got pg in the same circumstances! He's still quite bitter about the fact I conceived DS so quickly and didn't get as much practice in as he would have liked!

Anyway as it's only 3 weeks till DB's wedding now we have decided to throw caution to the wind and see what happens. You never know DH may get a longer run this time

luckoftheirish · 15/03/2010 07:34

morning ..

hope everyone enjoyed their mother's day ..

hope work wasn't too stressful dizzy..

on the subject of missing AFs could someone please ask mine to make an appearance.. cd31 of 28 day cycle.. pretty sure that i'm not pg, but her appearance would make me feel so much better ..

dh's birthday day but typically he has to go to work.. hoping he will leave early and then we can do something with the girls..they missed him so much this weekend..

i have been ready how much everyones dcs are talking.. dd2 just talks complete random rubbish with a few words thrown in.. starting to feel like i am not doing enough with her to encourage her to talk... she understands everything we say to her and i try to get her to repeat words/numbers/colours/toys etc but she just giggles back at me ... any advice greatly recieved xx

hotterpotter · 15/03/2010 07:57

Patience Loti it will come Honestly my DS is pretty similar, mainly babbling with a few words sprinkled in, although he has just started to try and copy words you say to him, with limited success

Glad it's not just me who completely over-imagines pg symptoms...

We had a lovely, very lazy day yesterday but back to Earth with a bump today as DS was chirping at 6.45am . Plumber coming this morning to fix leaky overflow so should get my arse in gear really.

Miamla · 15/03/2010 07:58

morning all
loti no recognisable words here apart from "allooooo" which is said to everything...trees, birds, stones on the ground...makes taking him for a walk interesting!

cyteen oooooooh...... exciting! oh and just in case you do need the info... I'm an expert now at pg bride dresses

sounds like you all had lovely mothers' days. mine was less for me and more for my dress and my mum! had lovely morning with DS whilst DP 'had an hour'. Woke him up at 9 because he was going out with neighbour to builders' merchant for stuff for workshop. he grumped his way downstairs, saw me wrapping my mum's present and went 'oh, sorry DS has written your card yet'. I was very noble, told him didn't matter
DS did then write my card and it was beautiful (in only the way a mummy would think!), lots of colours and wiggly lines
over to mum's, bro cooked us all lunch with a bit of an adjustment thanks to mum because bro's choice wasn't pg friendly so she stuck a bit of fish on for me . and then the rest of the day was making my dress And you know what...it looks like a wedding dress!!!!!!!!! AND more to the point... I actually like it now!!!!!!! It makes such an amazing noise when i walk in it
OOoooh and thanks to a bra from mum, I think it will be ok strapless (wearing her bra also solves my 'old' thing as well )
DP has got man flu so i'm off to mum's today with DS and we're leaving him here to recover. I'm quite intrigued the mischief he's going to get up to! After all these days he's had with DS on his own whilst i've been dressmaking, he's suggested we do it regularly after the wedding too. So i'll have a whole day off, at least once a month!! So be warned any of you that are close enough for me to visit on a day trip

which reminds me... buckets wow! what a great night and what a lovely friend! i'm particularly envious of the girlie chat/breakfast in bed bit! love it that it was her stepson who was your bodyguard!

i know i haven't mentioned everyone personally but you all know i love you so i'm sure it won't be a problem

hotterpotter · 15/03/2010 08:19

Wotcha Miamla, glad to hear you are getting sorted, can't wait to see some pictures Have you got everything else sorted - shoes, hair, etc etc?

oopsandbabycoconut · 15/03/2010 08:27

Loti - I wouldn't worry if I was you DD has alittle friend who will babbble on for minutes and add an understanadble word randomly in the middle then look at you as if to say 'understood?'

Morning eveyone

We have discovered the reason for the 6.15 wakeups - We have stopped morning milk and she sat up this morning rubbed her tummy and said 'hungry mummy, cereal please' over and over again until I gave in and came down for shreddies.

Builders have just been and discovered the doors delivered are not the ones I ordered!! He has spoken to the builders merchant and they ordered the wrong things. they have to be special ordered in so no idea when they will arrived. On a happier note DD greted the builders 'yippeee, you're here'

cyteen · 15/03/2010 08:38

springy period is due any time from the end of this week. My cycle seems to be quite short, if a bit random - I counted back over the three I've had so far this year and they were something like 24, 23, 29 So not sure what that means, but apparently women with shorter cycles have a higher chance of getting knocked up at random times, as ovulation happens sooner after menstruation (haven't been googling at all, no ).

I'm sure I'm probably not, just keep thinking I feel things like nausea and sensitivity. I never had any symptoms with DS at all apart from tiredness near the end of the first trimester, so have no idea what early pg symptoms feel like!

miamla good work on the dress, can't wait to see the full ensemble

DS slept from 7.30 to 6.15 last night ... you see he can do it. Oh well, if previous experience is to go by then we will have another night like this in a couple of months time.

But I guess that I am lucky as if we are not out and about (and I try hard not to be) he will nap for a couple of hours at about 11am.

I have had a funny tummy, but mostly better now, and DD prefers the Phil and Teds in the position that gives her the seat, rather than lying flat. This is a nice discovery.

Oh and I agree oops about hunger. I thought this last night as he ate his tea. Mostly if he refuses his tea I just give him milk before bed, but when I think about the amount that he eats in a day it could be hunger waking him. Or the temperature as it has been really hot here for months now. Who knows.

HI everyone
miamla nice to hear you sounding so chipper.
cyteen Is there really such a thing as a PERFECT time to have a baby though? IYKWIM.

Argh, am utterly full of cold. Sick of being ill now.And I keep having little 'accidents' when I cough DP says he's thinking of being a priest as I've been too ill to do the dirty, and period is due (well, late tbh) Yesterday was nice - DP made me scrambled eggs. Was supposed to go with him to MIL's but felt too feeble so stayed home and slept all afternoon.

loti no worries about the talking thing - S very seldom uses real words. Most commonly used is Eyoooo. And even that gets shortened down to O when he's feeling lazy otherwise we mainly have very earnest babbling. He sometimes says Mummy, Daddy, Nanny as well.

Miamla great to hear your fab progress with the dress, I bet it's a stunner. You must be getting really excited at this stage, it's so close... huzzah! Are you going to be a Mrs btw, or stay Miamla? I am always interested in whether people do this or not, but oddly do not feel strongly pn it either way meself.

cyteen I'm going to strike out here and say I hope you are pregnant cos you want a baby .

Had to pretend to be going to the loo to sneak in here to catch up that's my 2 mins up seeya later.

Oh just a quick ffs here wtf would want a Tiffany charm saying MUM for 1200 smackers? Not me, mate. I'd be interested in tasting the 50 quid chocs though .

GreenGardenia · 15/03/2010 12:36

re doors what a pain in the arse.

cyteen · 15/03/2010 12:41

Gardenia personally I'll be staying Ms Mysurname, for a lot of different reasons.

lwfhthebagpipeplayer · 15/03/2010 14:34

cyteen re: Ms Mysurname

I have a question

I didn't change my surname. I would have been happy to, but it's not done here

anyway ... are you bank cards and things already Ms? Because mine are Miss and I thought it a lot of bother to change them to Ms so I didn't, but I'm not really Miss Myname.

Nice morning in the park. DS asleep, DD wriggling, me eating lunch, writing to you lot and hiding from the cleaner. I do infact need to change DD and do the pre-clean tidy now.

See you later...

GreenGardenia · 15/03/2010 15:37

Probably hard to shake your identity when you've had it for nearly forty years. Weird one.

GreenGardenia · 15/03/2010 15:38

Oh feck it cyteen I don't mean you've had yours for nearly forty years I'm sure you are in first flush of youth, etc. was thinking purely of self, as on the other hand I will be 38 in a couple of weeks (eek).

No offence there pls.

GreenGardenia · 15/03/2010 15:39

TwilightSurfer · 15/03/2010 16:15
