Morning all

Waiting for the sausage rolls to cook.

DD awake at 5.30 but i managed to get her back until 6.50 when I realised I really needed to be up earlier!

Mum coming to have DD today Dsis supposed to be coming too but is having a rubbish week as she didn't get the uni choices she wanted and the one she got she isn't sure she wants to go to as their course isn't exactly what she wanted.

Lovely day here hope it is where you all are. Enjoy and I will think of you from my kitchen where there is no natural light!

QueenofDreams · 13/03/2010 07:54

morning all.
oops am very angry at the twaty man! some people are so unpleasant.
Seb at least had a sick free night last night. I'm totally congeted though bleargh.
had a really spicy balti last night.

dizzydixies · 13/03/2010 09:11

glad to head Seb on mend

ridicliously early morning here again too however DH got up and my bladder let me sleep till 8am, he's now getting ready for work again whilst I work out what we're doing on this lovely day - off to the forest/beach for us I think

have just checked weather for NY for next week and its colder than here and raining everyday so am feeling less about not getting to go - I'm aware that this makes me a bad person

dizzydixies · 13/03/2010 09:12

oh and DH offered me a lie in on Monday seeing as I won't be having any mothers day of sorts tomorrow - I thanked him very much before I pointed out that I will be leaving the house at 6.15am to start early shift

all about the thinking it all through for Mr Dizzy

lwfhthebagpipeplayer · 13/03/2010 14:40

morning. tired, odd tummy, DD asleep on my lap so slightly loathe to get up, unpack the shopping, do the washing and get us all ready to go out once DS wakes. yawn.

not mothers day here tomorrow, but ought to remember to call mum. a bit late to put something in the post. aaarghhh. hope my sister did.

PD DS generally awake once a night at midnight 1amish and DD 3 times but usually from 2 or 3 am onwards. Yawn

lwfhthebagpipeplayer · 13/03/2010 14:41

aaah, sympathy dizzy re: not getting mothers day

RedLentil · 13/03/2010 17:11

I'm clashing birthday and mother's day so that's one lie-in for the price of two.

ROFL - bless Mr Sazz

DH home, brought me take away from my fav restaurant however the feckers have altered my fav meal and its now burning my face off full of pepper and the prices have been hiked up too - looks like we'll have to save that for when the PIL visit and want a proper meal [cheeky gits emoticon]

lovely lovely day at the beach, girls had a ball along with getting soaked and bringing half the beach home with them - they'd soooooooooooooo better sleep tomorrow after all that fresh air

watching Stardust with tea then heading to bed before being back on shift tomorrow - also lets DH watch the rugby without me giving it all away

cyteen · 13/03/2010 20:47

Yay Sazz, enjoy yourselves

My poor baby has been in the wars today. First he tripped over while playing a chasing game and smacked his head on the skirting board, then he went face-first into the gravel while running down a ramp outside the NCT sale and grazed his face/banged his head again in the same place as before, and just before bathtime he banged the other side of his forehead on the table He looks like a case for social services now Bless him, he's been so good today, putting up with a lot of frenzied toing and froing from his parents (town/NCT sale/madly crowded supermarket) while probably not feeling all that great.

I shall be hanging on the baby monitor every five minutes to make sure he's breathing ok [overprotective mama] Otherwise all good here, DP has a new camera to keep him occupied and he has promised me a lie in tomorrow for M Day We'll see what the night brings...DS has woken up a few times this week for the first time in ages, damn those teeth.

dizzydixies · 13/03/2010 20:50

Cyteen............................. wee soul, you KNOW what I'm going to say don't you?

arnica arnica arnica!!

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/03/2010 20:57

Evening Ladies

Sazz - have fun

Dizzy - sleep tight and hope your girls sleep tonight.

Cyteen - sounds like DD last week she has more bumps in the space for 6 hours than ever previously!

DD in bed exhausted after a day with my mum, they spent most of the day in tha garden. DD was being a faary and yelling 'I do running' when I got home. She persuaded Ouma to get the ball pond and balls out and then tipped them out and played camping in the garden. DD also found one of DH's magnifying glasses and was being atective, she had it pressed to her nose and eye looking for tloos (clues) I think we may read too many grown up books to her. They have been to the woods for a walk to find goblins, chased the neighbourhood cats and DD even managed a nap. I now feel wholely inadequate - DD gets so little of this from me during the week

I am off to bed in a bit

Sleep well.

dizzydixies · 13/03/2010 21:03

Oops, how is your mum after the funeral of have I missed that, apologies if I have

sounds like a great day and thats what grannies are for frankly

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/03/2010 21:06

Thanks for asking Dizzy - she is better than we all expected and keeping busy helps. She phone earlier to say how she was the most relaxed she had been in ages today which made me . We supplied her with 2 bottles of wine and a big pot of daffs DD planted for her for Mothering Sunday before she left and made her cry.

dizzydixies · 13/03/2010 21:09

oh bless her, have to admit am not looking forward to tomorrow myself and DD1 away to bed very uspet as I've had to explain that I'm working

oopsandbabycoconut · 13/03/2010 21:13

Oh Dizz - it must be so difficult for you and then to be working on top of it all - especially with your DD1 being old enough to truely understand about tomorrow being about her mummy. {{BIG HUGS}}

dizzydixies · 13/03/2010 21:15

thanks Oops, I don't think I would mind so much if we were all together but we'll be all over the place - never mind,s'cuse my moaning

am just downloading photos from the beach today whilst DH polishes off the end of my tea - shall pretend its a weight loss effort rather than an inability on my part to eat nippet food

hotterpotter · 13/03/2010 23:17

No idea what is in store for me tomorrow, in fact it still feels a bit weird to think it's about me at all even though it will be the fifth Mother's Day that I have been a mother , how did I get so grown up????

Anyway just wanted to say I hope you all get a lovely snuggle at some point from the amazing children in your lives which you have made / moulded into the fantastic small people they are

TwilightSurfer · 14/03/2010 00:49
