Dizzy I don't really get a homey feeling about that house, dear. I'd not give it a second glance really.

I have to say the VERBAL SKILLS and VOCABULARY are really through the roof here. HOWEVER, the attitude could be left in the bin. Today, I apparently wasn't "listening" to R's request so she nicely YELLED in a very aggravated manner, "MMMOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYY!" When I looked she pointed. Apparently she'd dropped something.

Finishing up a few odds and end for the volunteering bit tomorrow night. Oddly I'm not stressed at all and even made mention to the director, "if we fail then so be it...at least it gives us room for improvement next year." Seriously, where is the real TwilightSurfer???

DD woke up at 6.23 demanding I find her swishy tail now! So I did and put her in bed with us where the pooooridge, neeeeddddd poooooridge started, so I gave up and got up. 2 bowls of porridge and a slive of bread later she is watching Charlie and Lola. DH is on the early watch this morning so is naturally still sleeping .

DS is also a pointer/yeller either Mumeeeee but more often, eg when he spots the fruit bowl or any other kind of food Me Meee Meee MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

DH took him for his 18 month check on Wednesday and he's on the top line for height but is 1 or 2 cm above the line for weight so they want to see him again at 2 just in case. This is a better result than I was expecting [phew]

DS just copying everything we say so have been trying to teach him some family names for impending trip home. The best one was Aunty Sarah (he still can't pronounce 's' or 'r' so it comes out Baaba which actually is quite cute and hopefully she won't mind

5am 5 fecking am - I fecking ask you so I brought her downstairs so as not to waken everyone else but I'm afraid when the other two came down just before 7am I'd had it and told them all to go and waken their dad

he's now away to work, DD1 at school, DD2 at playgroup and D napping, which is what I would be doing if the fecking phone would stop ringing

D has a new thing too Cyteen, she gets the hairbrush and tries to brush her hair going Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow - she thinks thats the right noise as thats the noise her sisters make getting their hair brushed

springy - our Auntie Sara was Rara for ages and she's now distraught that DD1 has grown out of it - my brother is still delighted that he's known as Rocket due to her inability to say Robert as a wee one - its stuck and remained this forever lol

Ach you've been to NY so recently it would be a bit yawnsome dizzy. You can celebrate here/there. We are doing a city treasure hunt tomorrow for the festival, we've all been looking forward to it because last year's was such good fun, so it will probably be crap .

Ladies, some underwear advice please, esp from Sazz who seems similar shape to me (but now smaller). What would one wear under here and here. Am not accustomed to halternecks and wondering if either of these dresses look like they would have bra-like properties or if halterneck bras really work?

afternoon all, am grumpy & tired

morning is been a load of WASTE! haven't had opportunity to get in the shower. left to take R to play gym only to turn around and come home because i refuse to attempt exiting a vehicle in a torrential downpour that includes lots of scary lightening. to make myself feel productive i made a third batch of homemade play dough for this evening.

play dough directions:
in a bowl mix...
5 cups of flour
1 cup of salt
2 tablespoons of alum

in a pot on the stove heat to boil....
4 cups of water
6 tablespoons of vegetable oil

once water/oil starts to boil, remove and add dry mixture. it's blazing hot so carefully mix it around in the pot. once it's clumpy pour it on a bit of wax paper so it will cool. once cooled enough to handle, knead it until it's not lumpy any more. tah dah!!

to color it...add food coloring to water mix.
to smell it...add cherry or peppermint or vanilla (etc) extract to water mix before adding powder mix. BE CAREFUL! I just got a massive cloud of steamed peppermint up my nose.

the bonus is the warm oil infused kneading process does a good moisturizing job on your hands.

END by storing it in an airtight container/bag.

Lucky you need to invite a friend over for a movie. I'd hang with you if only closer!
