nicky6 · 30/01/2010 20:55

jks - you've done a lot more than survive this year

simpson - i dont think even mumsnet abbreviations are adequate for the bad language i would like to hurl.

meet up corams fields is short walk from russell square or holborn. so are we all on for 3rd March? i think we should try to find an indoor alternative too just in case.

noah now in dor bounce and looooves it charlie loves him being in it and jumps with him soo cute.

will be nice to see eveyone again - oh how time flies.

i never really went on tothe due in july 2009 thread - i just stuck with you lot!!!!!

JustKeepSwimming · 30/01/2010 21:01

Thanks Nicky - but never got round to so many jobs as mind just wasn't up to thinking about them/making decisions!

Meet up sounds good so far, will look around for indoor alternative around there...

think i've added a photo of today, nothing special, but ages since i've tried to add any so let me know if you can see it!?

Lilyloo · 30/01/2010 21:07

JKS he looks scrummy it's nearly summer and they can play out!!

JustKeepSwimming · 30/01/2010 21:15

I can't wait!! i'll even settle for spring right now!

Lilyloo · 30/01/2010 21:23

Just booked our first camping trip today , must be summer soon
Only two months till we go to Aus am dreading taking M on that journey tbh she gets more 'willfull' every day

simpson · 31/01/2010 10:49

Won't bore you with my antics but lets just say it was a good night out last night

mixedmamameansbusiness · 31/01/2010 12:11

Morning....

Ditto JKS far more than survive.

Simps - glad night out was good, is the H and IL visit over now then? I hope so.

Lily - awww at hoarding stuff. I am mostly getting ridof things (although we dont have that much left anyway as DH make sm throw things out all the time) as if we have a third and FINAL baby then this time i want to get whatever I want and do everything exactly the way I want... although our McClaren isnt suitable from birth and has seen better days and we donated our car seat to SIL so only really have a highchair and E cotbed will become a bed soon, after reading here i really should get on with that BUT

Today E dropped his dummy down the toilet.... so DH and I decided this was as good a time as any to stop using it, so I think the bed will wait till we have sorted this. He threw it away at my mums hous ages ago and he sleeps prfectly well and doesnt have one at ILs so no more here and will have to telll nursery too.... eeek.

In relation to Corams fields.... what about British Museum? There is also a museum attached to Corams Field, but perhaps their cafe is the one that doesnt open until 1pm. There is Oasis sports centre, which is a walk past new oxford street and they might hae soft play.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 31/01/2010 12:13

Oh and the weather... yeah I hate winter with a passion I was not made for this climate honestly I need heat all year round, my cousin moved to Oz recently (Lily very [evny]) and when he got there his DW askd for a divorce but he says no intention of coming back as he absolutely loves it, he says the fact that it is warm all the time means that everyone is generally in a good mood, no winter blues and stuff.

simpson · 31/01/2010 19:38

Clears throat....

THEY HAVE GONE!!

Well technically they haven't as they are staying at my mum's tonight but I won't see them again!!

H really wound me up and I did lose my temper and shout at him infront of J

Basically H's sister gave J a present and I wanted to thank her (she was the only one who thought to give something for J) and J would have spoken to her on phone too but then David could not find phone, wallet, jacket which he had obviously left at my mum's (nneded phone for sisters no.) and he got in a right state and wanted to leave mine straight away to go back and get it.

So J did not get proper goodbye or put to bed properly ie no kiss, light still on and no pull up on, so I shouted at H and said he had not seen kids for nearly 3mths and is f**king wallet etc was more important to him.

Anyway when he left i had words with J and told him this was a good example of daddy not being well and he could not look after J properly which I think J understood.

simpson · 31/01/2010 19:53

Just spoke to my youngest brother who told me that H put J to bed at my mum's last night and my brother told H to keep little light on in room and keep door ajar

anyway H put J to bed and about half an hr later my brother went upstairs to hear a child screaming (mum got big house might not hear from kitchen) and J was totally hysterical because he was in pitch darkness and H had closed the door and its stiff so J could not open it

My bro said it took ages to calm him down...

simpson · 01/02/2010 08:23

Molly's first day at playgroup guys, will let you know how it goes

simpson · 01/02/2010 08:26

Happy Birthday Nathan

Hollyoaks · 01/02/2010 08:47

Hi all, sorry I've not been on in a while, I've been going through an awful situation with a friend whose dd has just been born with Edward's syndrome. There's nothing that can be done for her so she's been sent home with a feeding tube and her parents have been told that she could go at any time . Its heartbreaking, especially being pg myself.

Hope all of the jan/feb babies have had or will have fab birthdays . dd enjoyed her party on Friday and got loads of presents, mainly clothes and some money.

We have also moved her cot into the nursery and she slept in her big bed for the first time last night. Didn't go over till half nine but she was just lying talking away to her toys and has just woke up now.

Hope everyone is well.

Hollyoaks - that's so sad Hope they get to make some memories before she goes.

Simps - for J that he had that scary experience, sadly more evidence for him that Daddy can't look after him properly. At least they've gone phew!

Not feeling well here, dodgy tummy, yuk.

Lots of jobs to do today & going into T's pre-sch early for storytime, should be cute

H watching ITNG (as always) and trying to play with his 'skirt'/pjs when Upsy Daisy inflates hers!!

Morning ladies and big HAPPY BIRTHDAYS to the new 2 year olds
Had a good weekend at Mums though DH was a total misery as he found out his drowned iphone cant be fixed after all so he was moping around like a teen
Anyway apart from that all is well here and the sun is shining too.
Are you just a bit more relaxed today Simson?
Wow Lucky that went quick
Nicky Ill say yes for now and will get DH to sort out if he can get a rest day nearer the time.
Iwill survive love Nathans birthday pics on fb looks like he had a great day.
I think Edward is having his secong terrible twos at the moment. He is being realy horribla and refusing to do ANYTHING where as before he was Mr Independant to the fact where he would make himself cross because he couldnt do something but wouldnt let us help iyswim?

Lilyloo · 01/02/2010 13:18

Happy birthday Nathan

Simps for J , bet today is easier!! Hope M enjoys her first day. I asked about availability for M at pre school today too!

Hollyoaks so sorry about your friend. My old school pal also had a baby born with edwards. He died almost as soon as he was born. They did know before she had him though.

Jks hope you feeling better soon.

Mixedm hows the no dummy going ? Thats the next job to tackle.

Trying to snow here
M just gone to bed. She has settled so quickly to that i can't believe it. She keeps going into our room and saying 'no bed' and then running nito her room laughing and shouting 'bed'

LaTrucha · 01/02/2010 13:25

Happy Birthday Nathan!

willsurvivethis · 01/02/2010 14:06

Hi ladies

Thanks for the birthday wishes. We just pretended it was yesterday - not as if Nathan knows different - so he's at his child minder as normal. We had 11 adults and 14 kids in the house yesterday - madness, and of course they all arrived at once.

Nathan's in a big bed too! We bought it on Saturday and he has stopped calling us at night so he seems comfy although he was grumpy and icky over the weekend and fell asleep on the shoulder of a friend when having a cuddle after church. But after that he was ready to party. His cm gave him a huuuuge Thomas baloon and he's so scared of it silly tot.

This morning he was wide awake at 7.30 and I found him rolling around in his bed sideways with his legs up the wall - he seems to like it.

Hope you all ok?

Hollyoaks - Edwards - one of the worst things that can happen to you when you have a baby...sorry for your friend and so difficult for you

LaTrucha · 01/02/2010 14:43

We found out at Sabela's party that she is absolutely terrified of party blowers. Now, if we go to a friend's house and she knows one is in the room, I have to move it to another room. Obviously, as all her friends came to her party and recieved a blower and now come running to the door blowing it when we visit, this is a bit of a problem!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 01/02/2010 17:09

Hello everyone,

Simps glad H is gone and you can get back to normal.

Holly - oh I remember reading a thread about that whe i was pregnant ... awful... i hope you are able t help your friend and also not get too down yourself esp in your conidtion.

Lily - I chickened out and found one hiding when I was cleaning up.... he came home from MIL hysterical and just screamed and screamed as he was so tired... inthe end we just caved in.

Happy Birthday Nathan... of to see pics.

gingeme · 01/02/2010 19:21

Can I ask what Edwards disease is please?

willsurvivethis · 01/02/2010 19:41

It's a serious congenital illness that is always fatal. Most babies do not survive birth and the others die in rare cases in weeks, usually in days - it's absolutely rotten and if picked up on screening parents are usually advised to terminate.

Happy birthday to Nathan... Last of the Jan 08 babies but by no means least!

We had a little party yesterday afternoon for DS. It was really nice to do something special what with not having any family local. DS really looks forward to Skypeing my parents a couple of times a week now and I think it has really helped him get to know them a bit better! It is very cute; he shows them his toys and tries to kiss them on the computer screen.

Hollyoaks my childminder was talking about a friend/family? of hers with same, maybe same person? It's usually picked up at scan but this time it wasn't. Another friend had an Edwards baby last year born sleeping at 33wks. It was so sad. She was very brave, making the decision not to terminate. It is quite rare.

Yes I really want to bite the bullet with the dummy but it will have to be Easter. DH is away at half term on school trip & can't really face it alone. DS is still very attached to it but I'm sure it is a big part of his continued night waking.

Hollyoaks · 01/02/2010 20:45

Ange - maybe the same family, they already have two girls, this is their third. Such a sad thing to happen to lovely people. Nathan's party sounds nice, we went to a local play place and let them organise the food and games for 14 kids.

DD needs to lose the dummy too but its not happening, she now only gets it for bed time or naps. DH is keen to get rid of it but I don't see it as that big of a problem as its only for sleeping, plus with potty training on the horizon and a new bed it all seems like too many changes at once, not to mention a new baby in a few months.

Day 2 in her big bed and it took her an hour to fall alseep but she hasnt got out.
