Pistachio - It's been a hard 14 months hasn't it. I have had one full night's sleep in all that time when I went to my mum's the a couple of weeks ago. I feel your pain!

DS made the mistake of letting M have a bit of one of his advent chocolates so now she points, climbs and screams at the calender. We have a full on throwing the head back, falling to the floor temper tantrum when I say no.

We now have two presents under the tree, one for me (SS) and one for M. The one for M nearly didn't make it under the tree. She is very good at ripping paper.

Hang on, he dragged a chair through the house?! Wow! That's one determined little fella!

oh bless him pistachio. Trying to get a chocolate

Q always wakes a couple of times. Then after 4.30, he wakes, squirms, doesn't really sleep longer than 15 min spurts until I finally cave and just get up. I think I must be used to it by now. It's not great, though.

I do that, too... shove him under duvet with me. Sometimes he sleeps sometimes he sleeps for a few min sometimes he just wants to be up.
He wakes a couple of other times a night, too. But it's not horrible, I'll either just say shhh and he'll go back within 5-10 minutes or he'll come into bed with me and snuggle up for the rest of the night until he wakes again. When he wakes, he screams and cries and flails around. I'm used to it, but yes, it is quite tiring. I'm just hoping it will pass. He'll sleep through every 3 or 4 nights, but be up by 4/4.30am to do his thing.
And before anyone suggests it, we've tried putting him to bed at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm... he still gets up at the same time. Just more grumpy from less sleep in the morning.

Apparently M is absolutely terrified of the shower. I mean shaking screaming trying to climb up the side of the bath firghtened out of her wits! She didn't poo all day yesterday so today unleased two day's worth of poo in an already full nappy, so it was a distaster that could only be solved by poping her in the shower. It took about five minutes of cuddling to calm her down afterwards, I thought she might need a bfed to help her feel better. She's fine now (stretching her top down so he can laugh at her belly button) but bloody hell that was traumatic for both of us. It's not much fun wrestling a poo-covered toddler back into the bath while she screams at you like your trying to push her into shark infested water! I think I need a cake to calm me down.....

Poo. My spell check is broken again. [lazy] I meant 'frightened out of her wits'

Pah - They made the first incision at 12.58 and M was next to my head at 13.03. Actually I'm just being cheeky, I have no idea how long it took to fish her out! I am very of your natural births. Neeeeeever going to have one of those!

I meant to say well done on the running Myjob. How you can be bothered find the time before Christmas is amazing to me. I have been walking about 45 mins a day which isn't bad. All of that pushing M (in her push chair obviously, I'm not that mean).

It's been very quiet on here today. Are you all snowed in away from internet access?

I posted on this thread after Hmm asked about it Pistachio. The birth was ok, twas the aftermath which nearly killed me was bad. It ended in no blood pressure, iron levels of 4.3 (three days after she was born and after I'd had about 3 litres of fuild pumped into me so God knows what it was when I first went wobbly), heart rate of about 170 and then two pints of blood. Bloody planned c-section. It was far worse than the emergency I had with ds. I love the pictures of you with T when he's hours old, you look so serene.

Good thing I love Q so much... Don't be 50ft. I'm of c sections.
I agree, pistachio looks very serene and happy after a few hours after birth.. I looked like I had been hit head on with a large freight train.... and like another one was headed my way

Star - While my normal responce to someone who is envious of a c-section is to laugh and explain the horrors of the recovery, in your case I think I will just nod and agree. I'd take a traumatic c-section over a traumatic vb anyday. For some reason I find the idea of injuries to my stomach much easier to deal with psychologically than injuries to lady parts

Myjob - I'd imagine she'll be ok, if it was M he'd probably be bright red and covered in boils by now . I gave him rainbow trout for lunch as I thought he'd had it before and been fine with it. Turns out he obviously hasn't had it and isn't fine with it - he spent most of the afternoon with a red and blotchy face asleep on my lap after a large dose of his medicine . Ah well.... He's back to his usual self now, banging the phone on the tv and trying to take the tinsel off the Xmas tree .

No snow here, but its FREEZING..... Have cranked the heating right up, dh isn't going to be pleased with the gas bill this quarter!

Ekka - it is freezing isn't it! Supposed to be -5 tonight for us!!!
I am sooo bored of not having a car, walked literally miles to the dentist yesterday, plus the normal school runs, then practically the same distance to the church playgroup party, all the way back across town to collect DS2, school run for Ds1 and trip to the Drs for DD. She didn't enjoy any of it as she just froze even with fleece/coat/cosytoes/mittens etc
And it's going to cost £500 to fix (don't ask). .
DD has nearly got an ear infection red inside but not worth antibiotics apparently. Then doc said - see how she is next week..... it's Xmas FFS next week. Even the Queen won't get an appt next week.
She gave me a prescription "just in case" after I gave her a Very Hard Stare.
