In our school we list the top 3-5% in each subject as the G & T.
It is a gov. requirement to have a policy and list of the children.
DD1 must be doing really well at school and literacy is really the most important subject at this age as it will help in every subject area. You must be a very proud mummy!!! Great news about her being in class 2 as well

Loopy - that's brilliant news. As she has been identified as G and T it should mean extra rvision and her class teacher should have it on her records so she knows how to push your daughter accordingly. I have G and T pupils whom I give extension work to (though they are secondary pupils so it's a bit different I guess)

She sounds a lot like my DD who does just 'get' reading. She is suddenly changing her book daily and racing through them. We've discovered her really trying to read to William now and for fun, whereas before she would read because she knew she needed to. I've got some books to read over the holiday becuase I don't want all her hard work to be undone over the break! Pushy mums are great aren't we!

Just bookmarking!

Great news on DD being on the G&T list Loopy! What a clever girl!

Hahahaha Loopy!! I desperately wanted to find a top that didn't show my spare tyre when i was BF but there's no way i would have sat there in a glorified brightly coloured non-discreet apron!! It's a lot less discreet that just BF without one, i think! No one EVER knew i was BF when i was sat in the pub with DD and that was without any cover on, or at the most, i was wearing a cardigan (but not covering DD with it!).

Lovely little shoes, btw Loopy! Aren't shoes expensive tho!! So glad i only have to fork out £35 once every few months for ONE child and not four!!

Yes, they really do advertise what you're doing, dont they?!! I haven't seen the udder covers and hats but they sound awful. I will check them out shortly.

Shame about the shoes - that's awful isn't it and your poor DDs' feet!!! You go get 'em!!

Deffo an age thing Loopy!! I pity you having to share a bed with her tho!! I NEVER get any decent sleep when/if i share a bed with DD (which is very rarely these days) because she's such a fidget bum and i'm also very paranoid about squashing her, even at 2.5 years old!!

Anabel has also dropped her nap now but it does mean she is out like a light at about 6.45pm

RGPargy · 27/07/2010 21:30

DD hasn't had a daytime nap with me for what seems like months now, although will quite happily crash out with MIL when she is looking after her while i'm at work!! The only time DD sleeps now is if she crashes out on me, which is quite rare really.

Cheers Loopy, since we moved Waitrose has become our corner shop so I'll check it out.

Feeling a bit flat today; SPD is terrible. I can't get out of bed without help from DH and am struggling with stairs. Seeing the physio tomoz who will hopefully give me some crutches. Hopefully the osteo will put me back together when I see her on sat. Booooooooo

On the upside I left the men folk at home for the weekend and styaed with a mate in London. Vert relaxing. I'd been gone about 4 hours when Dh called to say he'd bought 'us' a new TV. Good job I was only away two nights; any longer and the cupboards would be bare but we'd have a full home cinema system.
