April 2007 - The one where we despair about coughs and colds; sickness bugs; cheeky behaviour and the amount of tinsel and fairy lights ALREADY in the shops!!

Ooh, can I post on your shiny new thread CD! Feel tired today - I have been very good the last couple of days and have been out for a walk at 9am, but today I am too tired and can't contemplate it. Maybe I'll go at lunchtime.

Bramshott · 15/10/2009 09:46

I am feeling like a wreck this morning. I have ongoing issues with my leg after the DVT I had after having N (hence needing to walk every day), and started having problems with a tooth when I was pregnant with O, which is now leaking pus and will probably have to come out. Honestly, they take it out of you these kids, don't they!! I know that we all end up with something, and that I was very lucky not to have stretchmarks etc, but still - grrrrrr.

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2009 10:23

hi everyone, like the title dippy
NL, your poor DD2, is she ok today?
SOl, did you get a good night?
runny, sorry i was never organised enough to reply to your post the other day, I completely agree with you about the ring! very odd
Bramshott, hope you get the tooth sorted
DH in a small crash on way to work all fine buit could have been a nasty head on one, luckily DH managed to quickly get into the ditch. we think the only damage is to his mirror but guy didn';t stop. should he report it?

CaptainDippy · 15/10/2009 11:03

Yes he SHOULD report it (can you tell my DH works from the Police ) Did he get a decent description of the other car or the driver? That is an awful thing to do and he should be stopped before he does it again if poss. So glad your DH is ok SPB. xx

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2009 11:16

no, DH is really observant & knows a lot about cars but didn't get anything other than it was blue - shows how fast it happened.
thanks dippy, i asked in chat too & they agree but say he'll have to go in with his documents, do you know if that's the case? he's got a deadline aty work, working late today & tomorrow & all weekend

Bramshott · 15/10/2009 13:54

Thanks!!

I have a dentists appointment in half term week, so I'll see what they say then. I am doing salt mouthwashes 3 times a day for now.

My leg is fine really, but if I don't excercise enough it aches a lot, so I must try to find time to walk each day. It's been very achey recently as I have let it slack a bit.

Sexonlegs · 15/10/2009 14:01

Hi all

God, your poor dh SPB. Hope he is ok.

Bramshott, you poor love. You need lots of rest and "me time".

Well, another awful night/morning. K finally went to sleep after about an hour of getting up and being put back to bed. She then woke at 5.00 and did the same thing; got up, turned the light on etc etc. I am so tired I can barely stand.

She keeps saying "no man" before bed and when she wakes in the night. Not sure if she means no man or snow man.

Obv something botheirng her. It has co-incided with her being on the ab's; I wonder if there is a link?? Probably not.

Anyway, hope all is well, and will be back later.

xx

runnyhabbit · 15/10/2009 16:59

I think we could all do with some me time atm..Wasn't there a commune by the sea on the go at one point

Bramshott - Hope you feel better soon x
SPB - Def report it. Never know, there might be cctv somewhere that help to locate the other driver.

The ring thing has wound me a treat (in case you hadn't guessed So I've kind of taken matters in to my own hands.....I visited a shop that my mum might have taken it to, and they have a record of it, but looks like it's already been packaged up to send on. But the bloke in the shop was very nice, and said he would do his best to find it, and will call me to let me the know the outcome. I know I'll have to buy it back, but cross that bridge when we come to it. It's in fates hand now - if I don't get it back I was never meant to have it. But I will benletting my mum know what I think, in a calm, collected manner. Well, I'll try

runnyhabbit · 15/10/2009 17:00

Oh yes, and it's mine and dh 6th wedding anniversay today

Northernlurker · 15/10/2009 18:54

Bramshott - my teeth are rubbish now too and I really hurt my back a couple of weeks ago - I lay this all at the dd's door! (Back is fine now)

SPB - how scary. Glad he's ok.

Ddd2 is fine today, I meant to ring and speak to the club manager but was too busy at work (bad wohm, bad wohm!) I'll try and do it tomorrow.

Runny - good luck with the ring - my grandma did the same with a shotgun. It was loaned to another family member who then sold it rather than giving it back so it could go to the family member it was always destined for. So Grandma was not to be beaten, tracked it down and bought it back.

Busy at work today and poor dh has been away all week again - I can't remember if this is the second of third week in a row like this - bit of a bugger really

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2009 19:58

happy anniversary runny - hpe you get that ring & wear it in front of your mum
sorry you're on your own NL. I know most people will find this pathetic but I did bathtimex2 alone tonight - very proud!
DH has reported it, thanks. very much doubt there'll be cctv...unless a farm would have it looking on the road? anyway, just the repairs left to sort. Dh nt as mad about this as i would expect, think he's shaken up

oooggs · 15/10/2009 20:49

well done katy - bathtime is hard

bramshott - hope you are feeling more yourself soon

sol - wow thats tired - I hate broken nights

dippy - good title

NL - welcome to the 'single mothers club' , dh is home but never here - if that makes any sense

runny - 6 years well done to your dh (cheeky oooggs I can only say that cos we have met )

I have had Erin home today as she has 3 loose poos and nursery banned her for 48 hrs. I took Jack on his own (would have to if they were at school) he was fine and an angel all day. She was a nightmare.

He said at bedtime that 'he was lost nursery with Erin' he meant he was lost at nursery without her.

Erins curtains are made and hung and anything not used within the last fortnight is going on ebay

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2009 21:41

ahhh poor jack

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2009 21:48

hope erin is better btw - glad T's nursery doesn't do that - given he doesn't eat much and what he does eat tends to be fruit 3 loose nappies would be nothig here!

elkiedee · 15/10/2009 23:37

oooggs, how sweet that your twins are so attached to each other. Hope she's ok and that tomorrow goes better.

oooggs · 16/10/2009 09:20

Erin wasn't poorly, just banned, no poos yesterday, if I had picked her up 20 mins earlier she wouldn't have been banned (had just done 3rd poo as I arrived) makes me cross really but it is their policy

Bramshott · 16/10/2009 09:22

Urggh - O up half the night vomiting. I feel like death warmed up! She's sleeping peacefully now though - poor little love.

CaptainDippy · 16/10/2009 09:24

Hope she can go back soon ooooggs, hate having them off when they are really not that ill

Right, off to town with P to keep her out of DH way while he cracks on with decorating the spare room ....

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 16/10/2009 09:29

hope O is ok - is it a bug?

DH working all weekend, planning to work late. T has a party on sunday but how am i going to entertain them all saturday??

Bramshott · 16/10/2009 11:03

I think so Katy - she is up now, and settled on the sofa. A quiet day here.

StealthPolarBear · 16/10/2009 13:45

hope it is gone soon!

DH saw the car again today so followed it. It was a girl, gave her name but refused to give her insurance details.
When asked why she didn't stop "because she didn't think it was anyone's fault"
When asked why she wouldn't give her ins details "because it was his [DH's] fault as he was going too fast"
(BTW he was in the ditch, trying to avoid her)
Anyway at this point DH said he'd let the police and insurers sort it out.
Bet she's uninsured!

StealthPolarBear · 16/10/2009 13:46

sorry that was c&p from another thread, looks a bit odd!

Northernlurker · 16/10/2009 16:35

So she knew he was in the ditch but knowingly left the scene - good job he reported it when it happened - I think the police will be having stern words with her at the very least.

Bramshott · 16/10/2009 17:27

No no SPB - it's good to have an update! that your DH saw her again!

StealthPolarBear · 16/10/2009 17:51

apparently the police say it's all up to the insurers now
Still, bet she'll be a bit worried about that - I would be!
