April 2007 - The one where we despair about coughs and colds; sickness bugs; cheeky behaviour and the amount of tinsel and fairy lights ALREADY in the shops!!

morning everyone

CaptainDippy · 17/10/2009 08:25

Good for your DH SPB

Just had ALL my girls screaming in my face instead of telling me what they want for breakfast; so I am ignoring them. I hate being treated like that.

Dippy
A has finally gone to sleep so I need to decide between having a shower, tidying kitchen and preparing lunch or MNing

StealthPolarBear · 17/10/2009 16:45

well just been to farm, on my own with A in sling and T ewalking (obviously). Was fairly tantrum free and I thi T is exhausted Another milestone after bath night

Sexonlegs · 17/10/2009 19:12

Hello

SPB, glad your dh got to talk to the other driver. Can't believe she thought it was your dh's fault
Glad all went well at the farm today. Hope bath/bed time go well. x

Dippy, how are your girlies? No more shouting? I hate it when B and K are like that; K copies B which is a pita.

Bramshott, how is O? Hope you have avoided it.

Oooggs, how are you menagerie

Hope everyone else is ok.

Well, I am dh-less and dc-less! They are off up to his parents and I have had such a productive day! Didn't start well though. The bloody heating packed in and tripped out all the plugs in the house. Electrician managed to sort out the electrics, but the plumber has said some valve has gone, but he won't be able to fix it until mid or end of next week [cold]

Never mind. At least I have my electric blanket

Right, need to go and watch Strictly with a glass of wine!!!!!

Back later xx

oooggs · 17/10/2009 19:34

walked a mile to the park today with ds3 asleep in double and E & J hopping in and out of double and ds1 running on ahead (a safe distance) I was shattered when we got there and my parents met us. Then back to theirs and stayed for tea

Mum dropped my home to get my car (and bring the washing in!) They are now tucked up in bed and dh will be home around midnight.

Well done Katy - hope T sleeps well

sol you deserve it my lovely

dippy - hope their behaviour improved.

Anyone else have a child (2 yo) who constantly whines and moans and cries. I am sick of it and don't know what to do. Any ideas??????? (Erin)

Doobydoo · 17/10/2009 20:08

x

elkiedee · 18/10/2009 00:52

Dooby, I'd find that rather worrying. Actually D looks unnervingly like that idiot on occasion, on Tuesday I think my mum said something about it to him and "you don't want to look like him do you?" not that he would have understood....

StealthPolarBear · 18/10/2009 07:16

not sure who T looks like but have decided A looks like the (male) doctor on Star Trek - it's the round face & baldness Still think she's beautifl but he's not.
SOL, hope you enjoyed your night!
oooggs, yes, T whiney & tantrummey, mainly when tired/bored and worse when both!
Dooby, why the ultrasound? hope all OK.
Last night was a nightmare, posted in sleep. I need some & DH meant to be doing another 13hr day - hes exhausted too

StealthPolarBear · 18/10/2009 09:06

I have toothache
Drier's died again
DH'd work laptop's stopped working & hes meant to be working
Need to leave the house in about half an hour for a party
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

StealthPolarBear · 18/10/2009 09:09

ah drier ok, reset button worked this time

Northernlurker · 18/10/2009 09:47

What kind of a sociopath holds a child's party at 10am on a Sunday morning? Just get there when you get there - they're lucky you're going at all!

StealthPolarBear · 18/10/2009 13:45

well my first ever 'real' children's party...I had no idea
apparently thats what everyone thinks NL, we were abt 5 mins late and only family there for about 15/20 mins

StealthPolarBear · 18/10/2009 14:04

urrrrrrrrrrrgh
eaten too many sweets ( apart from jelly babies & jelly beans)
wouldn't want T to choke now, would I?

cazboldy · 18/10/2009 16:23

hello everyone.

had a bit of a scare this morning. Caitlin and I were out riding, and she managed to fall off as Mojo was a littleshit handfull and he ran off home, so half of the village came out looking for us she has a bruised elbow, and a bit of a graze a he top of her bum, bu thankfully is otherwise fine

SPB and [shocked] at the other driver, and very glad your dh is ok.

SPB you sound like you are coping so well since you doubled up on numbers

Bramshott sorry you are falling to bits xx

Hope you can sort your ring out, and hope you had a nice anniversary. Dh and I have been together for 15 years on the 2nd

Have also been out on my bike with Molly on the back today, and am feeling a tad knackered.

don't think there is much else to report here, so will try to pop back later, and not leave it so long between visits.

Hello to oooggs, NL, Dooby and anyone else I missed xx

oooggs · 18/10/2009 18:01

yes bloody hell caz - would think you had loads to do

Katy - what a dumb time for a party

L needs attention back later

sol - are you family home?

Sexonlegs · 18/10/2009 18:29

Hello

Caz, good to see you. Hope C is ok after her tumble.

SPB, echo others - 10.00 on a Sunday is very early! Hope it went well.

Oooggs, family are not back yet. I think dh plans to drive home at their bed-time, soi they should be back by 8.30/9.00. I have had a fab day again. Didn't get up until 10.00, and that was only cos dh bloody phoned me to ask a favour!!

I HAVE FINISHED MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING, INCLUDING STOCKINGS FOR THE GIRLS.... AND WRAPPED IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God it feels good

Just need to write the Christmas cards now...

Hope everyone is ok and have had a good weekend. Dh off at the crack of dawn tomorrow until late Wednesday night, so my relaxation ends soon
xx

CaptainDippy · 18/10/2009 19:35

SOL You sad, sad cow (I'm just jealous )

I've had a good w/e with a lovely friend visiting ; but absolutely fuming with work Can't be bothered to go into it all now, but they are just selfish and irresponsible and I am CROSS!!!!

OP posts:
oooggs · 18/10/2009 20:29

blimey sol - thought I was going good

dippy - hope work is sorted one way or another soon

James was fiddling inside his mouth earlier, 'Mum there is something there and I can't move it' 'let me see' I reply

'Its teeth James!!!' More new ones have grown since August, another 3 huge adult ones at the back, no wonder he can't move them .

StealthPolarBear · 18/10/2009 20:56

oh no Dippy
SOL, I am so , both of the lie in and the Christmas shopping. I plan to make a list and then go and get it over with - the list making is the hard bit
ANy ideas?

oooggs · 18/10/2009 21:55

For T - garage & cars, tool bench & tools, dressing up stuff (doctor & medical case) wooden train set (or add to an exsisting one with a battery operated train which goes on its own) Thomas aqua draw, books, jigsaws, game (Orchard Toys are fantastic), clothes

For A - the wrapping paper & boxes that T has discarded

elkiedee · 19/10/2009 00:24

Hi Caz, hope you find more time to drop by soon.

LOL at Oooggs' Christmas present suggestions. My aunt dropped by this morning to take back something we borrowed a while ago, with her 5 year old granddaughter. I was quite amused when D told her the toy she was playing with is C's. It's actually something I found in D's toybox and I thought they might both enjoy, I assume someone must have given it to D at some point but I've no idea who (a sort of mini activity centre involving annoying sounds and flashing lights in the shape of a pull along caterpillar). But I was so astonished D defended it as his brother's rather than saying "It's mine!"

StealthPolarBear · 19/10/2009 09:25

sorry i missed that post caz, glad C is ok

Bramshott · 19/10/2009 12:15

O is still not quite right, and now N is vomiting too - happy days!!
