OMG I will be married in about 500 hours....

llaregguBOO · 10/10/2009 23:37

When are we having your virtual hen-do?

sausagemonstermash · 10/10/2009 23:46

Ooooh I dunno. My real hen do is next Saturday (17th) night.... bridesmaid friend person is at mine on the Friday night (16th) so can't then... could do the following weekend?

sausagemonstermash · 10/10/2009 23:46

BED!!! Niiiiiight!

EtherealFiByTheSea · 11/10/2009 09:14

morning

essenceofSES · 11/10/2009 09:18

Morning!

Spa day was great girlie day Unfortunately I had a headache all day ( and still do ) and the music wasn't working in the room I had my massage in so the girl felt she had to talk all the way through! Didn't spoil a lovely day though

Sad news about Stephen Gately

Texas - yes, DS had an undiagnosed tongue tie and so couldn't feed properly for the first month. He dropped from the 75th centile at birth to the 2nd so that's why I'm so pleased he's climbing back up and is now between 25th and 50th.

saus - virtual hen do sounds good

grumpy - yay for teeth! I think O's look really cute.

I had a dream last night that he suddenly got a mouth full of teeth. I tried counting them and got to 20 with more to go and realized there were 2 rows top and bottom and thought "that can't be right!"

llaregguBOO · 11/10/2009 09:21

I'm glad you had a lovely time ses. I could really do with a massage, I think. What a shame about the headache. I've had a few lately and have wondered if it is down to the hormones from breastfeeding or something?

Morning Fi!

Very sad about Steven Gately. I wonder what happened?

euroghoul · 11/10/2009 09:29

Gaah!! 3 pages overnight! You busy lot. Will lurk around catching up and post later then! Tired kids + hungover dh = unlikely to get much mn time till tonight . Hope all is well!

ScarySpangleMaker · 11/10/2009 10:24

Ses glad you enjoyed your spa day. I've had dreams that H has teeth but still no signs of any real ones.

sausage oooh going out with a Bad Seed, now that is just achingly uber-cool (DH has run off to check his CD collection to find out which one it was - he is a mega mega Nick Cave fan)

DH arrived back from his trip at 12.30am. H woke up and was so cute - he had a huge grin for his Dad and lots of coos. H then had a big feed and slept til 7.30am - yay!

What's that about Steven Gately?

Morning everyone. Wow, lots of chat last night. DH was at a wedding in Londres yesterday evening (I couldn't be bothered was babysitting.) Apparently he got into a bit of a (verbal) spat with a friend's DH. so glad I missed that one ! As a special treat for DC we had pizza for tea, which DD2 threw up everywhere at midnight. So won't be doing that again .

Ses glad you enjoyed spa day and hope your headache goes

Sausage wow, what glam friends you have !

Texas hello ! Yes, my DS is (sort of) crawling, but he's getting very frustrated that he can't get where he wants to go immediately

Gotta go get DH from the station and DC still in PJs. Not sure we will be on time. Never mind, serve him right for going out

runningscared · 11/10/2009 10:38

Glad you had a good time ses

thanks for the suggestions spangle n llare. Will have a looksie.

We're off for a walk now will be back later x

Spookyoldcaaaaaaaa · 11/10/2009 10:58

Hello everybody

Texas belated welcome!

saus I loved Tindersticks and Nick Cave

noises S is a loud hand sucker too, drives me mad, also does loud shouty noises a lot.

And yes, the 2 bottom teeth are here already. DD2 actually had 4 teeth (2 bottom & 2 top) by 5 months. We call her 'crocodile' because of her fabulous teeth , she also lost 2 baby teeth a while back, so is an early toothster.

Still loving DH being here, I'm dreading him returning to the UK , but we've already booked more flights for him.

flip your FIL , what a goit. I would just leave him holding the cup.

Autumn fete awaits, no Halloween here but loads of pumpkins still, may have to carve one anyway.

Back soon gals

Salemchocolates · 11/10/2009 10:59

Morning everyone

DH had the great idea to watch a film that finished about midnight. Me being one who cannot leave a film half way joined him and off course this morning I'm a teeny weeny bit tired. The larger than normal amounts of alcohol didn't help either. DH has now gone to work and will be back by 6 hopefully, so it'll be another day of me and my dcs. I talked to dh a little bit more about my independent mw dreams plans and he seems to understand where I'm coming from now. Before he wasn't keen. I do feel I need to get back into the swing of things first and have a little while back in hospital rebuilding up my confidence after 9+ months out of action.

texas yes I am a midwife and yes mw stands for midwife, mws is plural

ses Nice to hear you had a lovely day. Shame the headache spoilt it a little, but better a headache while being pampered than while having noisy dcs around

I can't believe it about Stephen Gately either. I wonder what's happened. I had to quickly google it when I saw the previous posts.

OK, time to do something useful now. C's asleep, so gotta make use of the next few hours. The dcs came home with these binliners to fill up for charity and the school gets paid for each ton of stuff they collect (or something like it), so I shall pop down the garage now and fill them up with rubbish donations.

Salemchocolates · 11/10/2009 11:00

Doing lots of crossing out today by the look of it.

EtherealFiByTheSea · 11/10/2009 11:06

we'd been having a c beebies morning so hadn't seen the news.. just turned over to bbc news 24

hope everyone's not too tired after last nights goings on.

ReeBee · 11/10/2009 11:06

Morning,

God, you lot can talk... 9 pages since Thursday. I'm shattered just skimming it to catch up. So, am claiming a Hallowe'en namecheck amnesty for the time being although ses pleased you enjoyed your spa day despite not feeling too great and saus, how cool is your friend?! Also, hello texas, nice to have you with us.

Am also at all those with babies with teeth. F was born 1st June so fingers crossed I might have a few weeks left before my mipples are threatened!

Just back from London - went to my cousin's wedding on Friday, all very lovely and F was a star, bless him. Tired today though and having a slob around the house day.

But, how ridiculous, DH decided to trust the sat nav on the way home yesterday. We were in Croydon. We needed to get to York. Clearly that meant A23 to M25 and then choose your clockwise / anticlockwise poison - but no, sat nav suggested we go through London and DH insisted we follow it. I expressed my concerns, suggested we turned around at several points in the first hour and then just wanted to cry. In the end I made him get off the north circular onto the A40 and join the M25 near Uxbridge so we didn't even make it through town using sat nav as planned. Basically, it cost us an extra hour and a half. That's 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back. But at least next time he might believe me and not the sodding computer. Gah, men. Poor F had absolutely had enough by Nottingham as well, not a great journey.

X Factor - am reserving judgement on Dannii's comment. Was last night but we'll see - possibly misinterpreted?

Must go and think of a spooky name. The standard is distressingly high so far.

ReeBee · 11/10/2009 11:08

as usual, lots of crossed posts.

ReeBee · 11/10/2009 11:08
EtherealFiByTheSea · 11/10/2009 11:36

it's been constantly raining outside since dc's got up. now dad is better, home and not needing cc visit we're having a relaxing pj day

llaregguBOO · 11/10/2009 11:40

Rain here to fi. Glad to hear your father is better.

EtherealFiByTheSea · 11/10/2009 11:47

where'd the cc come from

EtherealFiByTheSea · 11/10/2009 11:51

hee hee dh is in the bath for a relaxing soak & ds has just asked to have his pj's off so he can go play with daddy's bath water.. of course I had to oblige

HeebieJeebieReeBee · 11/10/2009 12:12

Fi well, what else could you do under the circumstances?!

HeadlessLadyH · 11/10/2009 12:29

reebee you should have stopped by for a cuppa in Nottingham! However, we were at Chatsworth yesterday so prob wouldn't have been in. Twas a lovely day we had. The house and grounds are, of course, beautiful, but there is also an adventure playground and a little farm park for the kids. My dad took DS1 off for a walk round the grounds too which I was really chuffed about - good bit of granddad and grandson bonding! They discovered a maze and a fab fountain so a good time had by all. So I was able to feed R whilst they did that and have a look round the gift shop which sold lots of beautiful frivoulous things that you don't need but absolutely want!

Feel knackered this morning. For some reason I didn't go to bed till midnight. Think it was all the X Factor shenanigans. I didn't start watching till 9 so it was 11 when it all finished and then I was MN with all the Dannii hoo har. Silly silly me.

DH was out on the razz last night too leaving me to do bedtime again. Am hoping that tonight he will do it and I can have a long soak in the bath before donning my new Fat Face Pjamas (lovely) and settling down for the next XF installment.

fi you are evil! DOn't give my DH any ideas before my bath tonight.

Really sad about Steven Gately. I was never a Boyzone fan personally (Take That all the way) but 33 is too too young to die. Wonder what happened.

sausagemonstermash · 11/10/2009 12:29

re heebiejeebiereebee - and omg, you were right near me - well, Uxbridge is sort of near by. AND I used to live near Croydon. Sdoopid satnav!

I know re uber cool friend. Just soooo cool. If you have a look at my facebook pics, there's one of me and her - last year for her birthday we went to see The Wizard of Oz at Southbank - she dressed up as Dorothy (and a huge cleavage) - and carried round a stuffed toy dog and made woofing noises at everyone. I'm the one in the wig and fag in hand . Her ex boyf was a Bad Seed a fair while ago... gosh, hanging round at his gaff in Brixton in the 90s was, like, amazing, man.... anyhoo, have decided to email her and see if she can come! Woo!

Hmm, yes, I wonder what happened with Stephen Gately...

Dp is not a well bunny today. He had little pink feathers on his jacket - apparently he was made to wear a feather boa. Ha!
