LoobyWooooooooh · 16/10/2009 10:34

sorry to have worried you all

I haven't been on here for days so have not caught up yet.

fi sorry to hear about cp

jael good to hear from you

llare thanks for your message on fb

running glad M is ok

tummum don't you dare feel guilty about the bf - enjoy your shopping

zombie know what you mean about the singing of songs M loves them tho

LoobyWooooooooh · 16/10/2009 10:43

claiming name check amnesty on all those I haven't mentioned

DH didn't really react much to the text I sent on tues altho he was nicer to me when he got home. I was gearing up for a big row but it didn't happen.
DH didn't drink on tues/wed night , but we haven't really thrashed out our probs yet , however we did start talking generally last night which is an improvement and he has started spending a bit more time with M.

I know we've got to sort this out but at least I don't dread him coming home .

We've got my DSD for the weekend so will put on a happy show no doubt and hopefully have a chat after she's gone.

LoobyWooooooooh · 16/10/2009 11:03

M is loving the weaning I think her favourite so far is swede and sweet potato.

She's currently lying on a fleecy blanket on the floor watching this morning and nodding off whilst I mn clean and tidy up downstairs.

runningscared · 16/10/2009 11:35

Thanks all for the good wishes, was horrible, I was even holding onto her but she just lunged forward and sideways. She has an almighty bruise but the lump has gone down this morning and she seems her usual happy self so its just me that feels bad really. A&E was heaving and boiling hot, was there thinking that its no wonder hospitals are such a breeding ground for bugs as its so bloody stuffy there.

Just wanted to say tum don't feel guilty, you have done nearly 6months and G is thriving. Easier said than done I know

Oops A awake, better go fetch her, have been inspired by you lot to try to get her to nap in her cot. Its not going too well yet!

back later

runningscared · 16/10/2009 12:37

Right back to catch up a bit more. A was still hungry I think as I gave her a bit more of a bf and she is zonked again. Just had a big sausage sarnie for lunch.

5-7 times per week Gotta be some stretching of the truth there!

We haven't managed it once since A was born but did do it quite a lot in the couple of weeks before she was to, ahem, move things along a bit Normally like others tho it would be about once or twice a week and more on hols

zombie ikwym re the singing. Some of the songs are just a bit too twee. A friend bought us this which I love as the versions of the songs are not too cheery. Its a bit too soothing tho as I often feel like falling asleep listening to it

ScarySpangleMaker · 16/10/2009 12:44

zombietom at Rhythm time we have to sing 'Put it in the basket 1-2-3, Put it in the basket for you and me'. Also there is a bit called free dance where you get up and dance with your babies, going round in random circles waving scarves in front of them. Not one for expectant first time mums to walk in on

llaregguBOO · 16/10/2009 12:49

Spangle that song from RT haunts me, I swear!

Tummum don't beat yourself up...

zombietom · 16/10/2009 13:05

spangle free dance? are you winding me up?! That sounds so funny- I would def get the giggles

running I might order that cd, it has fantastic review

looby glad you are ok and hopefully you will be able to pin DH down for a chat soon- it is good that he's already spending more time with M

zombietom · 16/10/2009 13:06

reviews even

ScarySpangleMaker · 16/10/2009 13:08

Tummum don't feel guilty, you are doing a great job

Looby glad you're ok, hope things continue to improve.

H is having the longest nap ever thanks to missing his morning nap by being at baby massage. All the other babies fall asleep, but not H, he is just too inquisitive I think. He gets a bit giddy with his clothes off So what have I done during an hour and a half of peace and quiet? Eat crisps and surf t'internet

runningscared · 16/10/2009 13:25

pmsl laughing at the 'free dance' it reminds me of my friend and my threats to do interpretative dance at another friends wedding. It involved leotards and scarf waving

zombie tis v good CD indeed.

spangle good work with your 'me time' there

EtherealFiByTheSea · 16/10/2009 13:39

spangle free dance

well 1st morning of grumpy toddler over.. just having a late lunch. we did painting all washed now. also made some pancake batter up for later and we've lego all over the lounge floor. grace bless her has watched ds with a big smile, fed happily and napped too. i need a vat of tea though as i'm now flagging

euroghoul · 16/10/2009 14:08

Hi all,
Will be back on over the weekend and catching up properly then, but I cannot resist a quick at free dance. Too too funny - I actually mumble through the songs at playgroup because I hate it so much, even though dd absolutely loves it. If I were ever faced with dancing too I would have to curl up and die on the spot.

Glad you're ok looby, hope things continue well.

Till soon ladies...

Monstermomi · 16/10/2009 15:08

Hey all.
zombietom, I agree: hot chocolate and good book sounds so much more appealing .

looby, glad you're ok.

all others not mentioned, hi and hope everyone is having a good day.

feeling a bit delicate today from that last glass of wine last night (at midnight ) and 3 hours of sleep. i knew I should have gone to bed when I came in at 1030. H was up at 1.30, 4ish, 6ish. I'm supposed to go out tonight but desperately want to cancel. I'll make myself as I don't see this group of friends often.

DH still on holiday. he's now watching 'journey of the heart', bad daytime film on five with cybill shepherd . better see if he's ok (mentally).

FrightNightFebes · 16/10/2009 16:03

Hi all just calling in as we are busy preparing for DH's 30th tonight. We have been cleaning and making hummous and stuff like that. I did a photo wall which looks cool and decorated with balloons and a banner. DD is beside herself with excitement. Little does she know she will be sleeping through the fun (I hope), still tomomorrow the balloons and left over party food will be hers. My lovely neighbour has taken both DCs for the afternoon while we get ready.

Looby glad you are ok and that weaning is going well. I have decided that I will start DS on baby rice this week at some stage as he is 5 months and its when I started DD and he is huge and feeding loads and loads. My mum and DH have been on at me to start so I'm going to dig out the highchair.

FrightNightFebes · 16/10/2009 16:04

Loving the halloween smileys

sausagemonstermash · 16/10/2009 16:33

Hahahahahahaaaaaa spangle - pmsl at free dance!!

Tummum - I know exactly how you are feeling re giving up BF. I have too, and I beat myself up about it for ages, tons of tears etc. Now, phew! M is a happy bunny and is no longer messing around and is podging out nicely!

HALLOWEEN SMILIES!!!!!!

Btw I have that cd - its lovely!

Have got the hen do tomorrow - am a bit nervous, I hope I don't have to hop around London with a penis hat on or anything

runningscared · 16/10/2009 16:58

Have a fab hen do saus I was given penis deely boppers on mine but luckily I was already wearing flashing bunny ears...

Salemchocolates · 16/10/2009 17:02

Saus My colleagues gave me a penis stethoscope for my hen do last year.

Trying to catch up, but c is messing with the key board and keeps making me loose posts, reducing the text size to teeny weeny unreadable, scrolling the text, leave MN all together, so I'm giving up for now.

Will be back after bedtime

and C wants to say this:

mikmmmmmminyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Salemchocolates · 16/10/2009 17:03

and that too

EtherealFiByTheSea · 16/10/2009 18:11

littlemisssalem is that right? we know just what you mean.. just tell mum when it's your turn G is always after her turn on my mobile given half a chance.

EtherealFiByTheSea · 16/10/2009 18:15

sausage have a fantastic time!!!

Salemchocolates · 16/10/2009 19:27

Back without C. She's fast asleep and the other 2 are watching telly having some quiet time.

Ooh, Halloween Smileys. Excellent. I've actually got myself one of those hats in RL today for the dcs Halloween school disco next fri.

sausage Have a great hen party. Mine was a tour of some Black Country pubs on the Beer Bus. Classy me. If you happened to have been on the M6 mid may 08 and were flashed by some mad women (not myself I haste to add) on a big bus, it was my colleagues. Yep, it's safe to say that mws know how to party, lol.

febes Have a great 30th b'day party for your DH too. Sounds nice. Can I pop round for some houmous? (and and maybe a drink )

tummum You've done great bf for as long as you have. So don't beat yourself up about it. G will be happy whichever way he gets his food.

looby Glad you're OK.

M&T groups I'm lucky enough that the one I'm going to isn't that structured. The ones around where I used to live had sing song time. What annoyed me the most were the 'god' songs and the prayer at the end, because I'm not really a church goer, but there were no non-churchy m&t groups, so it was that or nothing.

free dance Lol, at that age all dancing is free IMO. I've never seen a 1-2 yo successfully follow dancing instructions

Dd1 just made me a drawing of us all in the living room and underneath she wrote: I lv ym mom. Yes, you've guessed it: I love my mummy. Aah, it's not like her do do that sort of thing, so that makes it extra special.

Salemchocolates · 16/10/2009 19:28

BTW, can you believe we've managed to fill over half a thread in 1 week
