In honour of sausage's forthcoming nuptials, with a nod to imminent weaning.

We go upstairs at 6ish most nights and DD has stories and is in bed 6.45-7 and sleeps through till 8am. She is a great sleeper. DS has a feed straight after I leave DD and then is put down but he takes up to an hour to fall asleep . I am being consistent, and picking up putting down. I guess he will get eventually.

Monstermomi · 12/10/2009 22:03

spangle, meant to say, scary bathtime story.

febes, I'm sure DS will follow your DD's pattern soon.

Fi, are you ready for snow? I love it at christmas.

Monstermomi · 12/10/2009 22:17

reebee meant to say, that was a great thread you pointed us to about the stupid things kids can do. very funny. i could have added the story about dd1&2 emptying out the shampoo and conditioner on themselves/in the bath.

... ooh I was just thinking that the apple crumble needed some custard!

Nowt happening here today. Nowt from IL2bs. Thank gawd. Heading into London tomorrow to meet up with an old friend from pregnancy yoga and also the NCT bunch - then heading down to chez parents to a) sort wedding stuff out (dress etc) and b) study. Booo. So may not be around for the next few days much... and am having bridesmaidperson staying over on Fri & Sat pm - hen day on Sat! Dp is making us a cheesy fondue Fri pm. Bless him, he does make me cross sometimes, but I do love him PLUS he's going to finish painting the kitchen when I'm at my parents, as any painting usually sets my asthma off (cue the quote from the 'Italian Job' - "what, me in the back, Charlie, with my asthma?") Oh, and hip is killing me - must sort out seeing the Doc. Ouch.

Night night all - have a nice few days if I don't pop in and wave occasionally!

sausagemonstermash · 12/10/2009 22:20

Oh and another slebalert - I taught the lady out of Everything But The Girl how to breastfeed!! (circa 1997 when they were huge-ish)

EtherealFiByTheSea · 12/10/2009 22:21

momi I prefer cold and snow to cold and rain definitely... but looks like i'll have to factor in some major winter clothing/snow tyre buying/etc into our relocation budget!

EtherealFiByTheSea · 12/10/2009 22:24

ScarySpangleMaker · 12/10/2009 22:24

Fi thermal undies, thick socks, snow boots, gloves AND fur lined mittens, furry hat with ear flaps... this is what we needed in Quebec when it was -20 odd. It was really beautiful though.

Did I miss all the crumble? Bugger.

Off to bed now, but thought I'd let you know that the in-laws have gone! Peace again.

See you tomorrow.

spangle along with sun glasses, lipsalve, moisturiser, a back up generator for when the power goes off, emergency tinned/bottled rations, some cash and a remote starter for the car to get it nicely warmed up & ready to use without having to go out!
