Tipex - dd did this a few weeks ago - we went down to see the MIL and decided to go round to some neighbours as she lives in a small close and a few had sent us pressies so we took dd, who is usually not fussed with being with us and happy to go to people, and I handed her over for a cuddle and she started crying for no reason (had just had a sleep, wasn't due for food). She came back to me and settled, then we went to another neighbour adn the same thing happened.

We then went on hols the next day and she did it with the people that owned the cottage. She hasn't done it since and I don't know what caused it but guess they sometimes have these phases ?????? Bit upsetting though if its grandma.

Congrats on the teeth by the way - here's hoping it doesn't upset the sleeping ! On the sleep front dd has slept better since being on 2 meals a day (although it has only been 2 nights so no chickens being counted !!).... so am hoping she was just a hungry bunny !!

hmm tipex.. will try moving him to another room! we don't have much space in the kitchen... but will see what we can do!

we have also had the thing with not wanting anyone else to hold him! happened twice with grandma and grandpa... but now he's fine again!!! was handed round at a barbecue earlier with no probs!

exciting news about teeth too! Linus has been munching on EVERYTHING for ages, and SO dribbly... but can't see any obvious signs of teeth!!

starlover · 18/06/2005 22:36

oh yes... am also bumping so that bubble99 will see this and join us!

bubble99 · 18/06/2005 23:14

It's all going on over here isn't it?!

starlover · 19/06/2005 09:39

come on then... rowdy it up! lol

Hazellnut · 19/06/2005 09:44

Hello Bubble !! Welcome over to the Feb board - pleased you can join us .... Have read some of your other threads so know a little about you (am not a stalker honest). Think we were probably in Kingston hos round about the same time (although I was probably alittle earlier given I am an imposter on the feb thread as dd was born early in January). Tell us what Elijah is up to !!

Here's hoping to seeing more of you round here !

We're planning on taking Anna swimming for the first time today - most exciting !!

Hazellnut, how did swimming go? I'm contemplating taking ds swimming in the paddling pool when he wakes up. Its been there all day so the water is nice and warm.

We had lunch outside. I stripped ds naked and lay him on a towel on the grass in the shade. There was a nice breeze blowing and he loved it. Kept shutting his eyes and doing this contented little wiggle and smile. Shame the neighbours can see into our garden or I might have joined him!

swimming went fine -she looked really cute in her frilly pink swim nappy but Tipex, your ds's reaction was exactly like dd's - very serious !! We got in trouble too for taking photos in the pool - oops !!

Its sooo hot here - its 31 in dd's room so she has just gone to bed in just her nappy with a fan on but will worry all night.....

Hi Feb mums, have been off line for a while - various things going on plus a brush with PND but feeling much better now. Can't believe how quickly our babies are growing - all this chat about teeth and rolling and weaning!!! Ellie is in her own room now and going down by 8pm so we finally have our evenings to ourselves. She seems to love routine now - what a change!! It was a bit sad putting her in her own room as it meant she wasn't a little baby any more but we all sleep better for it. LOL at all the nappies Starlover - they do get a bit addictive though have limited myself to Sandy's & MEOs. Are you still expressing - how has feeding gone?

Hi Nik72 - good to have you back (even if you are another cloth addictee....). Hope you are over the worst of the PND - sorry to hear about this.

I think this week's competition must be why Starlover and Roosmum have been quiet today - busy researching their recipes and thinking up tips but I am going to win it this week to get me started on the cloths so hands off !!!!!!

Nik - how do you find MEOS ? I am borrowing some from a friend this week to try them out so any handy tips (oh no I'm turning into one too....)

hello allllllllll!

oooh, can't wait to take Linus swimming... i think he'll love it... he LOVES his bath! We're going to get the paddling pool out at my mum's at the weekend if it's still nice and warm.

Nik... i was thinking about you the other day!glad you've found time to post, but really sorry to hear about the PND... are you feeling better now?

I have entered the competition... may enter it a few more times though! LOL...

I have some MEOS that came in my free council pack, and actually I quite like them! Having said that, DS is a hefty 17lb now, and they're just nice on him. Used one last night and it was fab... no leaks at all!

Hazellnut · 20/06/2005 20:51

Tipex - how big is ds ? As dd is v. little too and someone else was saying the same thing. I am borrowing some from a friend on Weds so if we do get on with them ok I'll willingly buy them off you if you really want to get rid of them...

nik... forgot to say. b'f has gone totally wrong... so at the moment i am expressing enough for 2 bottles a day, and he is getting formula the rest of the time.
I can't see him going back on the boob to be honest, which makes me very sad... but at least he's getting a bit of breastmilk!

Hazellnut · 20/06/2005 22:27

Tipex.. I was told by the docs to get dd weighed every 2 weeks cos of her birth weight issues but the other friday (clinic day) i just completely forgot and most people seem astounded I get her weighed every 2 weeks. I shouldn't worry about it - as you as long as he is looking happy and well there's not much point. Anyway, dd is 20 weeks (or 21 can't remember... 5 months on thurs ...) and is on 7 centile. A mini 13 lbs so we may have the same problems. I'll let you know how we get on ! Am getting quite excited at the thought of trying them ... how our lives change....
