Two steps forward one back eh Ange?
Yes I was thinking of Frag the other day actualy. Matbe we should check the 'just popped' threads and see if theres any mention
George has a realy raspy voice today. Sounds quite cute actualy. If he could get any cuter that is......

LaTrucha · 11/12/2009 14:36

Ange - DS sound just like Sabela. She no longer moos, quacks or anything else she loved doing a few weeks ago. Also, she does things like: last week she was tapping my knee and saying, 'knee' when she wanted to come up. Now, she doesn't bother as she knows she can get the same effect with a tap. She did put her first two words together today though . I told her I needed to go to the toilet and she said, 'Do poo poo' .

And she said, 'yes' too. One day she my even say yes when she means yes, and no when she means no instead of vice versa

Gingeme - hope it doesn't develop into something decidedly un-cute.

Madmouse - glad the walker looks like it's going to be good.

Nicky - £20000! When we had the deposit in my bank account, I was terrified. This is £50 or so but makes you feel so insecure. Still haven't heard anything.

We're officially having a birthday party for Sabela on the 17th at the lodal soft play centre. They didn't have it any earlier and at least everyone will be well back and recovered from Christmas It's 12-1 if anyone fancies it! Will provide tea and put me up at my house after!

LaTrucha · 11/12/2009 14:37

Lily - how is DD?

JKS - Christmas is next Tuesday in your house, isn't it? That's the day we have our first scan but a bit nervous too.

LaTrucha · 11/12/2009 15:04

How much would you expect to pay for a holiday in a nice hotel in Spain to cost, including flight but no car?

We've only ever stayed in a hotel once. DH does it all the time for work but that's a bit different.

I'm thinking of trying to get in some relaxation before the baby comes. God knows, we could do with a rest.

AngeChica · 12/12/2009 10:14

That would be nice LaT. I guess you could book direct with the hotel and then get cheap flights. I bet the paradores have some offers on out of season.

Do you want to go somewhere different to where DH is from? My uncle did the "Driving over Lemons" thing and retired to an abandoned olive farm in the middle of nowhere near the Alpujarra in Andalucia. There has grown up there this fairly international boho community that do all sorts of alt therapies, arts and cookery breaks etc.

JustKeepSparkling · 12/12/2009 16:27

LaT - no idea re cost sorry but a great idea, we went away for a weekend when pg with H, without T. I had a pg massage too

Christmas is Monday, think we're ready...
I'm so used to thinking it's Christmas next week that I'm actually starting to believe it confused by people saying they're starting their shopping!

Got orchestra concert later, just having a cuppa to wake me up.

Nearly ready for hospital, i think.

Hi everyone, sorry too far behind to catch up properly.

gingeme · 12/12/2009 19:24

Good luck and all the best JKS. XXXX for your very brave little man too.

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 12/12/2009 19:38

M recovering now , just have to watch out for signs of infection. Have follow up apt next week at dentist and then she will be monitored.

LaTrucha · 12/12/2009 20:16

simpson · 12/12/2009 22:54

Just have to say met up with madmouse today and Nathan's walking being held one handed was absolutely fab

well done Nathan!!

madmouse · 13/12/2009 08:47

You beat me to it Simpson - sounding like a really proud auntie

Yes Nathan got so excited about M running around that he was desperate to follow so mean mummy thought what if we only give you one hand - and off he went. And that is real hard for him.

Was lovely to spend afternoon with Simpson and very well behaved J and M.

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 13/12/2009 15:53

Yeah , well done N

gingeme · 13/12/2009 16:58

What a bloody nightmare
George has turned into the devil child with vomit included Was up with him till midnight as he was sick and over tired there for keeping the other boys awake too.
Put the tree up today while Edward and George were having there nap. I decided to buy some chocolate decorations against my better judgement. George has so far eaten 6 Bet you he is sick again tonight to top it all the bloody lights dont work. I just want to chuck the whole bloody lot out of the window tbh !!!
Right off to make some dinner though i dont expect George to eat much

JustKeepSparkling · 13/12/2009 17:10

Nightmare Gingeme! I threw out 2 lots of lights this year and bought 2 new sets with LEDs instead.

Madmouse - yey for N's walking one-handed!

Lily - glad she's recovering, hope you aren't too about it.

Well so far Christmas Eve going along nicely:

  • stockings stuffed
  • other half of pairs laid out on boys beds
  • pillowcases stuffed too
  • reindeer food made & put outside
  • mince pies iced ready for FC later
(- sherry in the cupboard!)

& Christmas Madagascar on tv for T

simpson · 13/12/2009 18:34

JKS - hope you have a lovely Xmas tomorrow

Gingme - hope george ok

M pooed in the potty

She was in bath with J and started squirming and saying "poo poo coming"

So got her out and plonked her on potty and she did it

She was not keen on doing it though and she only did it because she didn't want to poo herself iyswim and I did not think I had time to get a nappy on her.

But its a start

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 13/12/2009 18:50

Sounds lovely JKS

well done M!!

LaTrucha · 13/12/2009 18:51

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse....'

Happy Christmas JKS ....

and Gingeme - I hope at least nothing is stirring tonight!

(well done M!)

gingeme · 13/12/2009 19:25

Lol Lat
Sorry about the rant
Wow Simpson thats just brilliant
Happy Christmas JKS I hope it all goes well tomorrow for you all xx
Well done Nathan your a star
As predicted George didnt eat any dinner but did have 4 Munch Bunch squashams they are his absolute fave at the moment.
Well nearly time for XFactoe final so time for a quick wee.
Have good nights all xxxx

LaTrucha · 13/12/2009 19:45

Oh yes,

Well done Nathan! I can just imagine it!

fillybuster · 14/12/2009 10:21

Poor George, and poor you Gingeme! Hope last night was a bit better? That sounds really not fun...

Hurrah for Nathan's walking and for M's impressive poo-on-the-potty trick - even if she doesn't repeat it for a while, its a good start that she told you a poo was coming. Tamara pood in the bath with ds last week and only cried straight afterwards when she realised what she had done....and I've never seen ds leap out of the bath so quickly!

Lol @ Charlie's naughty dinner antics - sorry Nicky, but I love the idea of the 'customer' sending dinner back to the kitchen

JKS - hope you're having a really lovely xmas day with the kids...bet T & H are having a brilliant time

And so so glad M's recovering, Lilyloo, that sounded really nasty. Shame the discount doesn't work any more, I really fancied that!

I've been offline for a week with a horrendous tummy bug...running to the loo every 10 mins or so. Worst thing is that I can't eat because of the bug, but then that makes my morning sickness a million times worse....so I've had awful tummy cramps all week, feeling sick all the time and a cracking headache to go with it...missed the work xmas party on wednesday night and spent most of the weekend curled up around a hot water bottle And I've still got it! Honestly, I have had enough now...!!

gingeme · 14/12/2009 13:20

Merry Christmas to the JKS family
Oh no Filly as if you dont feel bad enough with morning sickness. I hope it passes quickly.
A much better night thank goodness. I think we all slept pretty well. DH fixed the tree lights and we even got some extra tinsel too
Im having great fun not telling DH what I want for Christmas. I have to tell him every year so its a bit of a let down on Christmas day so Im keeping my mouth shut this year. Hes known me for 11 years for goodness sake Mind you he did surpass himself for my birthday this year and got me EVERYTHING I asked for .
I did debate about asking for a dog. It would be from Battersie or the RSPCA. But we decided to wait till we move in a couple of years. Atleast we would have a garden plus the boys would be a bit older then so not so over loving iykwim?

LaTurkey · 14/12/2009 20:01

Hope you're all having a lovely time JKS

Gingeme - glad you had a better night

Filly - oh lord. I really feel for you. I hope you feel much, much better tomorrow.

Sabela had her developmental check today. I LOATHE these things so was apprehensive. She trumped my expectations that she would do her usual trick of pointing to blue when I ask for yellow because that's really funny. In fact, she had done most of the 'games' the HV took out of her bag before the HV could say, 'Where does this shape go' so I am relieved.

Lots of good vibes over here please. 12 week scan tomorrow. Feeling a bit apprehensive but DH told me, 'You're sick, you're getting fat, everything is fine.'

simpson · 14/12/2009 20:31

LaT - what time is scan??

Sending positive vibes

Filly - hope you feel better soon

All good here had a nice afternoon at a friends house

Although M has refused to sit on potty again saying "don't like it"

simpson · 14/12/2009 20:33

forgot to say its J's first school assembly tomorrow

Hope M sits still

JKS - hope you are having a lovely day
