Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gingeme · 16/11/2009 19:42

Evening all.
Big congrats Lilly
Wow Simpson even my lot don't sleep this early I hope you don't regret it either
JKS isn't that just typical re the practice manager?
Welcome back mm sounds like a very interesting course.
Well Edward woke dry I have just put him to bed with no nappy. Made sure he had a wee before bed though.
I'll let you know tomm xx

LaTrucha · 16/11/2009 19:45

Good luck Gingeme!

Lilyloo · 16/11/2009 20:14

Congrats Filly nice to see you

MM glad you enjoyed your course , did dh and N manage ?

Simps i think the insurance company will try and get out of whatever they can. M and J usually go to bed around 6 anyway don't they ?

JKS glad you got a nice day out with T. Is the nanny settled in now ?

LaT at gp comment.

Ginge well done Edward. Another lot of nappys gone. Agree with MM r/e sypke has enabled the dc's to keep in touch with auntie and cousin in Aus otherwise they wouldn't even know her. Maybe even a trip out there for you too ?

Have finished cleaning but may well not have bothered as tip when picked up dc's from school again.
I am having real nightmare with M getting out of bed. She is getting up 20 times a night before settling to sleep.
I have tried putting her in with L but this is disturbing her.
Have tried keeping her up later but it is just later when she goes down for sleep.
Do you think it's time to drop daytime nap ?

LaTrucha · 16/11/2009 20:58

It has worked with a friend of mine's LO. Worth a try?

simpson · 16/11/2009 21:52

M rarely has daytime nap now hence wanting to ZZZ at 5.30

She maybe has one daytime nap a wk now.

LuckySalem · 16/11/2009 22:00

I'm going to try to write a message to you all now as everytime I try it comes up with an error - just after I've spent 20 mins writing you all a msg.

And now after all that babbling I can't remember half of what I was going to say.

Erm..... naps - DD still HAS to have a nap every day, normally on the way home in the car. She's in bed about 8:30pm and up about 8am.

Talking of DD - today she pooed and weed in the potty so tomorrow we're going cold turkey with nappies. Have bought her a BRIGHT pink potty from boots and some knickers from Primark. So fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I'm now 22 and 1/2 weeks preg. Found out that I get another Scan at 36 weeks cos I'm classed as high risk due to the Csection with Ali.
Apparently I have to go in as soon as contractions start and be on a bed with monitors till I give birth. Am arguing with them though as I know if I'm forced to lie on abed the whole time I'll end up with another CS. I know it.

We've got a dog now called Tizzy, she's a 22 week old collie X springer spaniel (I know how nuts am I?) She's ace. Learning things all the time and I'm so proud of her today for going to greet 2 dogs today calmly rather than jumping all over them.

Anyways - thats about all I can write - just hope it comes out this time.

Oh filly & LaT. Congrats!!!!

AngeChica · 16/11/2009 22:15

Hi Lucky & Filly, congrats! nice to hear from you. Glad HG holding off LaT!

I had a lot of continuous fetal monitoring when I was having DS Lucky and the wires were long enough that I could get up & sit on a gym ball etc. beside the bed so hopefully you can ask for that?

about T walking comments Filly. DS is 22 months and only says 6 words. He did do animal noises for a while but now seems to have forgotten them . (Trying to sit on my anxiety about this for the moment!).

He is getting quite wilful but is so funny and cheeky with it! His favourite things are bouncing and stickle bricks.

So that's Bluebell, Nicky, MrsMc, Lucky, Latrucha, Filly and also Naetha and Fragolina from the old thread who've had / having babies - anyone else !?

I have some A/L to take before December so am going to my parents in Suffolk for a week on Thurs. The journey is a bit harrowing but Al is usually good in the car. My parents are moving in the new year & my dad is a total hoarder so have 27 years of clutter to go through! Should turn up some memories!

MrsMcJnr · 16/11/2009 22:47

Congrats Filly - baby no 3 for you! I'd like another one too but not just yet, I'm enjoying Aaliyah so much, she is such a Mummy's girl luckily Xavier adores her too (calls her "eeeaarr"!)

fillybuster · 17/11/2009 10:59

Simpson - Tamara has been diagnosed with extreme hypermobility...I'm supremely bendy and its caused me problems my whole life but I had no idea it was genetic until now (or that it had a name!). It was a massive relief finding out and getting physio for her - she has gone from not even standing up at 18 mo to walking around everywhere now, but she insists in holding onto something (one finger, a baby buggy, anything) and just doesn't have the confidence to do it on her own. Having said that, the last 2-3 weeks she has started taking a few steps on her own, so it might happen before she's 2 (fingers crossed). Ari has also started school and is loving it, thanksfully.... Not too exhausted, but he was doing the same length day at nursery last year.

MrsMc - congrats, I entirely missed the arrival of baby #2!! Lovely name

I can't believe how many bumps/babies there are...that's so nice La Trucha - you could pretend to be a June baby and join my thread, then be a bit 'late'...

Gingeme - very impressed at Edward being dry...how did last night go?

Lucky - I can't believe Ali is in knickers...we're definitely not there yet - first I have to get Tamara walking!!!

gingeme · 17/11/2009 12:56

Yay Edward had a dry night I went in to him this morning and he was still in his bed which is unusual for him so I kind of guessed he would be wet but he flung his covers back and said 'no nappy Mummy!'
Had a lovely morning at playgroup this morning. Mum joined us and enjoyes chatting to the lo's.
I'll pop by later. xx

JustKeepSparkling · 17/11/2009 13:04

Hey all,

well done Edward!!

(we are nowhere near with T still, let alone H!)

Saw friends new baby today, born on Sat, so cute!!!

Her 3rd girl, everyone here seems to have just one sex of DC, so i'm convinced I'll have another boy. dont mind though, already got name ready (George Patrick) !!

Friends from bf group (that i still go to to chat to friends despite not bf and not taking a baby!) clubbed together to get me vouchers for a spa treatment (soooo nice of them) - so trying to decide on what to have. Prob a massage though the nanny said i should try the hot stones thing, anyone done that?!

And yes she's settled in very well, works 4 days (Mon-Thurs) and does loads for me, def getting my sanity back...for now anyway, 1 month until grids put in (electrodes)...

fillybuster · 17/11/2009 15:48

JKS - you as well, or just planning ahead?!

Oh, I bumped into Barristermum on the tube last week....we both got on late after work at Waterloo, sat down opposite each other, then had a moment of "hang on..." She's doing really well and looked great, sent love to everyone on the thread, especially Gingeme

LaTrucha · 17/11/2009 16:17

JKS - that's lovely! I'd choose a massage, I think. Glad about Nanny.

Gingeme - Well done Edward!

Filly - how funny!

Lily - Are you trting a day wihtout a nap?

Lucky - HI! When's your due date? Marchish?

Ange - Good luck sorting and with the journey.

Having a horrible day today. Feel sick as a dog all the time. HAve tried everything - no good. Sabela's really being good - although not keen on me being on the computer hence this is short! WE're very ceebeebie dependent here at the moment. Feel bad about it but couldn't get through without it.

simpson · 17/11/2009 16:20

Just got back from picking J up from school.

I have 2 very tired children. Lets hope there is no repeat of last night

Beleive it or not both kids went through till 7.30am this morning

Think M is coming down with something and is very snotty etc although she had a long day today.

Physio was 45mins and then we went straight to toddler group...

JKS - love your DS3's name!!

Gingeme - go Edward!! J nowhere near dry at night

Filly - how does T geret on at physio?? M's was not too bad this time. She is going again in 10wks.

She is quite severe in hips and knees and milder in elbows and hands.

She did not walk till 18mths. She is pretty good at going in a straight line on even surface now but anything else ie stopping or going round a corner forget it

Ange - enjoy your trip

Lucky - good to "see" you

Lilyloo - no real improvement in J yet tbh. He is still very tired in eve.

TBH think M misses him in day so hounds him alot when he comes in and he needs to sit quietly iyswim.

LaT - hope sickness is bearable ATM

simpson · 17/11/2009 16:23

Bugger just taken M's temp 39.5 so deffo coming down with something

LuckySalem · 17/11/2009 19:49

Sorry M not well Simps
Glad barristermum is doing well.

DD had another weewee in the potty (accompanied by a few misses) Quick question for those who have potty trained. she has knickers on and when she's wet them I change them straight away but would it be helpful to her to leave the wet ones on for 5/10 mins?

Lovely to be able to post on here. I've missed ya all.

gingeme · 17/11/2009 20:11

No lucky change straight away or she will get sore . Good luck.
Oh Simpson I hope M isn't going down with anyhting horrible. George had a temp a bit today but I discovered 2 new molars up the top.
Thankyou for passing that on Filly your a star
LaT Cbeebies fans all round here too bit of a Gods send realy isn't it? Hey don't feel guilty if it works why not? Its all good stuff.
Edward woke wet from his nap this afternoon but still wanted to go to bed without a nappy tonight
Beds still realy comfy. Havn't christened it yet though

LuckySalem · 17/11/2009 20:18

Thanks Ginge - wasn't sure.

Glad Edward is doing so well.

Lilyloo · 17/11/2009 20:30

Attempted no nap day today but M fell asleep on my knee at 2 pm.
Just let her have 45 mins and she went to bed with minimum fuss tonight so think shortening nap for now may be way to go.

L has asked for a go go hamster for xmas. Have spent all day trying to find them in stock They are like gold dust and i am so as i had two in my hands at tesco two week ago and put them back as was skint and she hadn't even talked about them then

Nice to see some old faces

LaT you feel so ill i agree cbeebies is the way to go. M loves ITNG and Waybuloo and Peppa (Simps cannot believe i have to do this for second time!)

Sorry to hear M not feeling too good Simps.

My neighbour had has swine flu this week. Came home ill last Thursday and today is the first day he could get out of bed mid 30's police officer so v fit!
Hope it doesn't come our way!

Lucky agree with ginge change her asap. Or leave off underwear whilst she about the house.

simpson · 17/11/2009 20:46

lilyloo - whats a gogohampster??

Lucky - good to have you back

Was LOLing with Madmouse on FB earlier as I was soooo tied could not be bothered to cook tea for Dcs so they had pasta with olive oil on and veg and ham. Took all of 2 mins and J declared it the best tea ever

So much for all my lovingly prepared meals

M seemed to perk up slightly before bed even to bath her etc although she asked to go to bed

"Molly want it bed" she said

JKS - wow in a months time then??

LaT - sorry to see you feel pants I rely on TV TBH its the only way of getting housework done as M hangs off my leg otherwise but will stay rivetted infront of TV for Peppa Pig

LuckySalem · 17/11/2009 20:51

Housework is NOT getting done here and TBH it's lucky if DD gets a good dinner at the mo, I'm so exhausted. I thought it was from walking the dog but I didn't walk dog today (DP did) and I'm still shattered. Down to the lack of sleep I think.
I go to bed and then toss and turn arranging the pillows in the right place, then I gotta get up and pee, so back to tossing and turning, fall asleep and get kicked/need a pee so its back to square one. I think I'm averaging about 5 hrs sleep a night.
I want a cleaner! lol

Glad M has perked up and so cute at the phrase!

DD gone on potty today and just took her to bed where she was telling DP all about it. "Potty, weewee, sweetie daddy" LMAO.
Anyone watching me when she used her potty would think I've gone potty!!

Lilyloo · 17/11/2009 20:57

these

LuckySalem · 17/11/2009 20:58

They look really cute! Would rather have the real thing myself though will keep an eye out in our tescos and if I see one will buy and post to you if you like?

simpson · 17/11/2009 21:02

Lucky - have vowed that tom all the housework is getting done here as getting seriously behind

simpson · 17/11/2009 21:06

Lilyloo - where can you get one from??

Don't mind looking my end and posting if they have them in stock
