OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Lenni- last time I was seen twice and had to be part of a 'random' selection of staff in a focus group. No other bugger in my dept even got seen. I did get a 'good' and an 'outstanding' for my lessons but that was then and this is now, arrrrrggghhh.
Plus, they are coming wed and thurs and my day off is a thurs so I'm hoping for some karma.
Funny, I could have sworn they only came last year but apparently it was 2007 so I stand corrected. Always just after I return from maternity leave though, sods law!

Right, I must bugger off and get some work done now

moosemama · 28/09/2009 20:21

Pat my boys's school is being OFSTEDed this week as well!

You have my wholehearted sympathy I was the OFSTED coordinator when the FE college I worked at was 'done'. Back in those days they stayed for days on end (a week iirc) and had to have a room set up for them with special folders full of college paperwork and students' coursework.

As Lenni said, at least it'll be all over for a good couple of years.

lenni - they are capsules, you take shed loads of them for about three days and they really do work - health food stores sell them. i thought it sounded like something for cranks but was having such a tough time with the evening feeds would have tried anything - my supply really did increase after the three days. i did smell a bit spicy though, on the second and third day...

dog, that isla sounds like a smarty. c has been having a try at 'cat' for the last couple of days. comes out with 'at

VeryHungryLennipillar · 28/09/2009 21:06

Thank you Stripey - will have a look in town tomorrow. Feel a bit brighter about it all now, especially since have just managed to book my grotto tickets yay!

Isla does indeed sound like a smarty, and where is this full fat G&B you are passing around Dog? Send some my way would'ya. I've got a lovely glass of red on the go though one good thing about being a SAHM, wine on a Monday night

Think I'm still drunk as have just been skyping with friends and laughing at stupid words like laid. I have regressed back to my party years and I love it!
I think ds1 has learnt more sentence structure while I have been away and S has 2 new teeth and a curl behind his left ear. I was only gone 3 days!
Pat no no no to OFSTED. Poor you.
Dog did you get a satisfactory reply to your post? If not I could show it to my sis who is a SEN specialist and see what she thinks. She will rpob be reluctant to diagnose over an email but might be able to give you some pointers if it helps.
Lenni I want grotto tickets! Don't mention the word wine around me as I might barf!
Sparkle loving the dress. Good choice.

Lenni, Green Baby has more than one branch in London but the one nearest to me is close to the Angel Islington on Upper Street - bus no 30 from Euston goes very close, or Northern Line tube. Let me know when you're in London, I work very near Kings Cross when I go back and it doesn't take long to get to Green Baby (perhaps about 15 minutes by bus). Other branches somewhere in West London might be more convenient for Harrods or near museums, they're listed on GB website.

I bought Fenugreek a couple of years ago as a plastic jar of capsule supplements from Holland & Barrett, it was about £7.50.

tinksbiggirlhasstartedschool · 29/09/2009 10:16

morning

oh no dog get well soon

i am getting anxiety with school run sure it will settle soon. dont think sitting around not doing anything for the whole of the 8 weeks hols helped. i am getting diahrrea had to take immodium again last nite.

newspaperdelivery · 29/09/2009 10:47

Hello all.

Dashing through as have pressi's the wrap adn sooooo much to do.

Haven't forgot you all and miss you.

Get well soon Dog. x

moosemama · 29/09/2009 11:15

Dog get well soon. You poor thing, its awful being ill at the same time as the dcs. There's a vomiting virus going around the boys' school apparently. Lots of hand cleaning gel being liberally applied by me at home time, but we'll probably still all cop for it. These things are almost impossible to dodge once they've started school.

Stripey boo to period. Haven't had one yet, but am expecting a humdinger when they finally show up.

Tink is there anything in particular you are getting anxious about with the school run or is it just generalised anxiety? I am much the same, I don't get out much and find it incredibly stressful to have to go and try to make conversation with the other mums.

News miss you too, hope you are having fun rushing around in super organised mummy mode.

newspaperdelivery · 29/09/2009 11:24

I get school runs too Tink. Literally

I think it's the adrenaline - the only thing that gets me up and moving. Certainly have no energy so adrenaline it is. But does give me butterflies and the runs and tummy ache etc. Anxiety like you say.

Wish I was super organised Moose! I want to slow don and soak up the joy of having the Christening and birthday pressi wrapping. No time!! Argh!

Mad busy with DH's work. Worst should be over by Friday so normal service resumed then MissJ meant to tell you t'other day that I paid £180 for my MB Urban with all accessories (inc carrycot) from a MNer (well a RL friend nowadays I should say!) on my other PN thread. I think that was a pretty reasonable price at the time and it was in really good nick. Hope that helps with knowing what to go for on ebay.

I love winter clock change too Dog, you are not weird. Log fires are my ultimate winter highlight, love love love them.
