Hello Ladies!

Have been AWOL for a few days, had so much to do and Shannon is not sleeping well so in a bit of a fog lately, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all those I have missed, am very sorry I missed them.

Having a little tea party tomorrow for Shannon even though its not her birthday till Mon, it was just meant to be a childrens party but then Rich asked his Brother, so I had to ask mine, then my Dad give Rich a lift with a sofa, so had to mention it to him, which means I had to ask my Mum and Step-Dad, then DD! came home saying her Grandma had been hinting about it, so ended up asking them too seen as though they have been more like Grandparents than my own mother anyway! Have said no alcohol though--Should be interesting if anyone brings there own and I say they have to leave it at the door

LES-Aren't you happy He's started fighting back? It'll do him good, TBH I think at school you need to be able to look after yourself.

Right I'm off to try and watch a film, even though its got a bit late now.

A very good morning to everyone, I am childless today as Rich took Aaliyah to his parents and then left to work from theirs. And I am suppose to clean the kitchen, do the ironing and some more washing again and tackle the guest bedroon but thought let me pop in here first.

TheLadyEvenstar I know what you mean with not being able to take zach out. Aaliyah is the same lately However her talking is very slowly coming on.

Needcoffe What foundation degree are u doing? I just started one in Computing. My days are Mon & thurs and only cost £1280 per year for 2 years and then full-time the 3rd year. Student finance said that will cover childcare but only up to £140 per week. The nursery attached to college had space for her but unfortunately my hours are 1pm to 8pm and cant find anyone who can be as flexible. I ended up hiring a nanny costing me £150 for a day and a half. I did get a letter from uni yesterday that I qualified for their bursary and will start paying it in Dec in the 3 lump sums.

Floria happy belated birthday for Alex, hope he had a lovely time and looks like my little madam will be a tomboy as she just want Bob the builder and diggers and Thomas, etc. I cant believe all the things he can say, well done you never know he might be the next engineer

Dal fab news about the low Downs risk, hope it all goes smoothly from now on. And sorry to hear about struggling with the feeding wish I had some advice but never went through any of that. Aaliyah used to not eat food but she would make up with fruit and her milk. She has been off food for 2 days now but luckily again she eats bananas, grapes, apples oh and all the strawberries. Maybe just give him fruit then at least he will eat something rather than nothing.

I finally had OFSTED out on Wednesday to clear my name on the accusations and I can breathe a bit better. Unfortunately just a little too late because I am so afraid and will always have that underlying fear what if another parent do this. Will never be able to properly enjoy myself with the kids and already staretd getting super excited about studying now.

Anyone knows of a cheaper nanny lol please pass her my way

DH is full of man flu a cold this weekend - Anya has a slight runny nose but that's it so crossed fingers she and I will escape the worst of it.

Eva-have added you, initials JD, its only one full day, 6 hours a week so they will not pay for childcare, still no further with knowing what to do, am not enjoying the course because of it, but reluctant to give it up after already paying £90 in childcare-thats rubbish about the nanny, what about a childminder?

Shannons party today, she woke me up at 6.45 and was stood on one leg with her foot in the air covered in poo she'd used the pooty then stood in it and wiped some on the carpet grr. Have spent all morning doing food, she has played on her new motorsed bike thing but keeps crashing into things and I have sent rich and both the girls to shop for non-needed stuff so I can mumsnet and facebook get ready for the party.

Happy birthday to WWAJC, Adam, Katch's LO, & Shannon & Ben for tomorrow. I think that's everyone - but if I have missed someone - then happy birthday to them too!
Yesterday was DH's birthday, so we had various visitors during the day and went out to a bar in the evening with friends, leaving DS at home with his lovely babysitter.
Today we've been to get all the food for DS's party tomorrow, and we're now chilling out at home - DH is playing his new Xbox game, DS is getting all his toys out on the floor, and I am quickly on MN & FB.

NC, it is his fathers girlfriend, she sent me a load of messages asking when Karl was going to see him, then when i replied to say it had nothing to do with her she added karl as a friend. She doesn't think it is fair for her children (21,17,12 and 5) to be brought to see karl so I should (apparently) take him and leave him at her house for him to stay over night when i said NO WAY she replied to say ok well in that case if we HAVE to come over then please make sure Karl has the money to fund the day....

Think you can guess why I was a tad furious lol

Just a quick hello as I am feeling a little poorly. A lot better than I was - been ill since Wednesday but managed to keep going somehow! Anyway through the other side of it now and hopefully that is my bug done and dusted for this term!

Busy day today, hence the early mn-ing! - Jo Jingles then off to my mum's to sort out Anya's cake (nothing like leaving it to the last minute!) then a friend of DH's is coming round. Somewhere in between I've got to fit in shopping and last-minute organising for Wednesday so I don't have loads to do tomorrow when I'm working.

Can you believe how fast the last 2 years have gone and how much our little golden piggies have grown?...I hope you all had/have fabulous days.

Sorry to have missed the weekend birthdays, we have been phenominally busy: We had a home improvement plan that meant the living room was still 2yrs from remodelling, but Dh did the clean up before Alexs party last week and was thoroughly embarrassed by the state of the cream carpet we inherited with the house ... (I have killed a Dyson vac and a Vax carpet cleaner trying to keep it clean over the last 2 yrs and hate the nasty dirt trapping thing and have been smothering protecting it with a rug as much as possible) ... anyway, the following day he phones a friend (who works for a carpet mill)and orders a new carpet!!!...it arrives next week(hopefully)... meanwhile he then decides to do an interim make-over and rips out the false chimney breast and huge hearth.. so, as well as taking Alex to yet another party, I have been repairing the plaster work on the wall and ceiling where the chimney was, rubbing down and painting wood work and generally cleaning up while Dh painted....needless to say I couldnt get much access to the laptop over the weekend...we have still got coving and skirting to patch in but it looks much cleaner/better/bigger already ... (probably puts the 'big' make-over back a few years though)

Hope all those with seasons first cold recover soon... Alex seems to be coping better with his now after 2 horrendous nights.. must get ready for the weekly foray to Tescos ... have a good day everyone especially the birthday boys/girl

We're just chilling today, party went well, nobody had alcohol until I opened a bottle of wine but we only had a glass, very civilised

Has anyone been to the black forest? We have airmiles vouchers that need using up and thinking of taking DD1 there for her Christmas present, not sure if to take Shannon or not, but theres a theme park nearby, so it'd be nice if we could just take DD1 this time.

Dreadfully busy day (already) here at Tosca Towers...we've done TalkFirst, dashed to SW for weigh in (5lb off!..thats a relief after last weeks 2.5lb gain)avoided the big Irish funeral that is expected to kick off later in the day (police are already in attendance)and am now preparing to drop Alex with the MIL while I go and pick up my Mum and brother and attend our friends more civilised funeral this afternoon... oh, and picking up Dhs' Christmas pressie (reserved on line from Argos last night)on the way back ...
Dh jetted off to foreign parts at silly o'clock this morning so hopefully I'll get a chance to get back on here tonight.
