FT-they're not getting on today, Shannon is being very aggresive because DD1 has put the buckaroo away....DD1 is available anytime you want her lol

I'd leave the windows and blinds if I where you, noone is going to care, but know how you feel..hope you manage to get the majority done.

I'm going to stop smoking clinic today to try and get the letter for docs for Champix again, they're what I used last time, they make me feel quite ill for the first few days but nothing else is working, I just don't have the will power, they're not safe to be used while pg so I'm going to have to wait till I've finished at the hospital, I could probably start taking them now, but just feel that I shouldn't, just like I've not been drinking etc, its silly, but don't feel that I should do anything like that until I'm sorted out, I suppose its just in case I change my mind even though I'm pretty sure I wont. Haning quite bad nausea but trying to ignore it. Going to park after stop smoking to meet a freind, hope the rain keeps off, but its bloody windy so will need to be all wrapped up! Wheres the sun gone??

Stefka · 05/09/2009 18:09

Arghhh behind again!!! Think you might only see me at weekends ladies. Glad I found the new thread

Glad also you are chatting about naps etc as Dareh is in a total mess sleep wise. He has started getting up really late, 9-10, then won't take a nap in the afternoon but sometimes he will fall asleep at around five and then of course we can't get him to bed until late. We have tried not letting him nap to see if we can get him back to normal but then he still tends to sleep in in the morning and it is hard to keep him awake when he wants to sleep. He just fell asleep now despite me trying to keep him awake - so now he will wake up in an hour or so and be up mega late - total mess! No idea how to sort it. He used to have a lovely routine now it is just chaos.

Also wanted to ask if your LO's have grown much this year. I don't think Dareh has. He is still happily wearing the cloths that TLES kindly sent us last year!! They have been so fab btw - he has lived in them since you sent them!! I don't think they grow as much now but maybe he should be growing a bit more than he is.....dunno.....

On a totally different topic I am so fed up of not being able to drink anymore. Just one glass of wine makes me so ill - I don't get it.

That's all

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 05/09/2009 18:31

NC - hope you enjoy your college course. Hope the next few weeks go really quickly/smoothly for you too. Lol at the thought of Shannon playing monopoly!

Dal - at cottage pie. Glad you're feeling better.

FT - glad you got at least one decent night's sleep this week.

Anybody else struggling to come up with birthday present ideas? We have no more room for any more toys!

Strawberry - hope work gets less stressful soon. No easy solution about getting ds asleep in his own bed. Anya went through a phase once of doing that - I just refused to let her out of her room. If she cried I picked her up, cuddled her until she settled then put her back in her bed. Eventually she got the message but the first couple of nights I did that for about an hour if I remember rightly. I used to have the tv on in our room where I could watch it by standing just outside her room, where she could still see me (iyswim) - that helped with the boredom of it a bit.

First week at work has gone well - dh was still smiling last night, which is a very good sign! I'm enjoying the work too. Picked the new car up last night - and it's going to go back next week . We'd paid for a paintwork treatment that protects it against all manner of stuff - but they've not cleaned it properly before the treatment's gone on - there's a noticeable splash mark on the bonnet that won't come off because it's under the protective layer. Spoke to the garage and they might have to get us a new bonnet. At least they will sort it out but dh is livid - he was so looking forward to a nice sparkly pristine car as it's the first brand new one we've ever bought and it's already got to have something fixed. Ah well.

Hope everybody's having a good weekend.
x

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 05/09/2009 18:34

Stefka - x-posted - I'm sure his routine will settle down again soon, it sounds like he's going through a transition and it's always a bit chaotic when that happens. Funny you should say that about clothes - Anya's been in the same ones all summer - a mixture of 12-18 and 18-24 months - and she's not growing out of them much. All set for a growth spurt soon then?! at not being able to drink wine - I'm living up to my mn name at the moment!

Stefka · 05/09/2009 18:35

We were looking at dolls houses actually. Dareh loves doors and stairs. They take up a lot of room though and our house is tiny. Can not believe it is that time of year again!!

Dalrymps · 06/09/2009 21:50

Hey ladies,

Strawberry - Sorry you've been so stressed with work at the moment. Not much advice on the sleep front i'm afraid, we haven't had that issue (yet) but I would probably do what wwajc suggested and just keep returning him and reasuring him when he gets upset. Not an easy task! Probably best to wait till you're less stressed though...

NC - LOL at shannons dog impressions! Sounds like you had a lot of fun that day till the headclash incident!

How did it go at the smoking clinic?

How you feeling about tuesday? (I think that's the right day? Sorry if i'm mistaken), remember we're here to give all the hugs you need...

Floria - Hope you managed to get everything done before your friends came and had a thoroughly nice time

Stefka - Sometimes Dylan gets a bit mixed up with his sleep but it seems to sort itself somehow, probably cause dh's alarm usually wakes him in a morn so it's rare he sleeps in... Maybe you could just gently wake him a bit earlier each day? It's difficult when they're tired though.

Dylan hasn't grown a massive amount this year but he never does. Well, he's following his centile for his height and catching up on the weight (thanks to the high cal powder he's on cause he eats naf all). The biggest clothes he wears are 12-18 months and he still fits a lot of smaller ones too depending on where they're from. Wouldn't worry too much, I think they slow down a bit in at this age compared to the first year. Dareh looks a fine little specimen in the last pics you posted on fb anyway

Don't know what to suggest re the wine? I started having a weird reaction to just one alchololic drink (an very itchy neck?!) a while ago but it turned out I was pg that month so that explains it!

Could it be a certain type of wine that doesn't agree with you or have you tried a few?

WWAJC - So glad your first week went well and you're enjoying the work

Bummer about the new car having to be fixed already. Nice to have a new car though, hope they fiz it quick so you can get on with enjoying it! What kind is it?

Birthday presents... I don't want to get a lot of stuff for Dylan as we're swimming in toys and have a hundred different types of toy cars (Mostly bought by mil, she's lovely and likes to spoil the lo's but we're running out of room!). We bought him a 'Handy Manny' figure when it was on offer in Argos last month and have put that away, he's a character from the disney channel on ky, Dylan loves him. We considered getting him this Peppa Pig 'fun phonics' toy but not sure how much he'd play with it . I love the idea of a dolls house so cute, i'd probably just sit and play with it all day though, used to love mine!

We took Dylan swimming for the first time today have been meaning to go for ages but just never got round to it. He absolutely loved it. He kept shouting 'bath' when we got there and went straight in no problem. He was splashing and shouting 'hiya' at all the other kids . We really enjoyed it and it was lovely to see him having so much fun, he wanted back in after the showers too.

I felt a bit wiped out after and a bit headachy so had a lie down when we got home.. Feeling a bit better now.

I wanted to ask you ladies your oppinion on something... I think i'm just being a bit silly cause of my hormones but i'll run it by you. Dh went on facebook this morn whilst I had a lie down (he hardly ever goes on there)whilst Dylan had his nap. He told me when he got up that he'd sent messages to 2 of his ex girlfriends to see how they were getting on and congratulate one of them on becoming a mum etc etc. The fact he told me means I have nothing to worry about and he has said before he has no interest in them 'like that' but he just likes to see how they are doing and catch up, share news etc. Anyway, I didn't say anything but I just felt really insecure about this and a bit upset. I trust him but I just kept wondering whether one of them in particular is still interested in him (she searched for him and sent him a friend request and a big long message saying how she thinks of him when she visits home etc etc). He could tell I was a bit bothered but I tried to hide it as I felt i was being a bit unreasonable and hormonal. What you ladies think?

NeedCoffee · 07/09/2009 10:04

good morning all

Stefka-How about a mini dolls house for him?we have a barbie one that I keep hidden cos its quite big and annoying, but also a little mini winnie the pooh one that all the bits fit in and can be carried kind of like a handbag iyswim
RE the wine, maybe because you don't drink no where near as much as you did before giving birth??

WWAJC-what a PITA about the car, hope you get it sorted soon.

Dal-I wouldn't worry too much about DH and FB, I know it makes you feel all horrible and paranoid, but with him telling you straight away I bet their's nothing to worry about for you feeling a bit delicate

Yes it is tomorrow that I go for the consultation, then hopefully asap that I get the date to complete the treatment, I took a phenergan 10mg last night after I saw it recommended on here for ms, God did it knock me out! Fell asleep straight away, Rich woke me to eat some chinese for tea, slept again, didn't even see dd1 get home from her Dads, Rich put them both to bed, then dragged me up at 8pm! Even this morning I feel sludgy and still feel sick, so wont be trying them again unless I need knocking out for a week, maybe something to try on the kids though...
Feel as though I'm in limbo atm, am meant to be attending an induction tomorrow evening for college, but don't know what state i'm going to be in, had pains like period pains but think it is probably nerves, also had diarrhoea since yesterday, which is prob nerves too.

Hope all is good with everyone, been quiet lately..Inzi? where you been, you're usually always on here! Everyone else?

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/09/2009 11:12

Hi Ladies,

NC - Had a giggle at the vision of shannon playing monopoly. Hope sleep clinic went well and that you are ok for tomorrow..as ok as can be.

Floria - did you get everything done in time for friends coming?

Stefka - re naps well Zachary rarely naps in the afternoon but will always nap around 11am until 12ish. although today he has been sleeping on and off since 7am....but thats because he is poorly.

As for the clothes well does anyone need any? Urchin is in 3-4 yr olds clothes....so i have loads to rid myself of. He is also in a size 7 1/2 shoes. so have some 5's and 6's that need homes.

I can't believe he is going to be 2 in 11 days, it is so scary and I am so desperate for a baby hobby now lol.

Anyway going to see if i can get him to eat something as he has not eaten since yesterday morning and must be starving.

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/09/2009 19:45
Dalrymps · 07/09/2009 21:21

Evening ladies,

NC - Wow, that stuff you took really knocked you for six then! Think I could do with something like that for the nightimes!

Hope it goes ok tomorrow and your nerves calm down a bit, busy day for you with the college induction, sure you'll be fine.

Les - Poor Zachary, do you know what's up with him or is he just generally a bit 'off'? It's awful when they're not well, hope he feels better soon.

Wow, he's 2 in 11 days! Dylan's not 2 till oct 30th so we've a while to wait yet. You got anything planned?

I walked to town for the first time in ages today, have been feeling too rubbish until now. Anyway I did enjoy it but it turns out it was too far cause i've been suffering from it all evening. I've been headachy, sicky and extremely tired . I don't seem to be able to do a fraction of what I could before I got pg . Hope i'm not low on iron cause i'm already constipated and don't want to be taking iron tablets to make it worse!

Ok, will stop feeling sorry for myself now!

How is everyone this evening?

FloriaTosca · 07/09/2009 21:51

Just a quickie to say Hi...sorry I was awol for the whole weekend..thanks to those asking; yes, I got everything done...had a fab time with rarely seen old pals...and nearly cried this morning when I looked at the house and saw that it all needed doing again....
Tles;sorry Z is poorly.hope he is better soon
NC; I hope the consultation goes well and you make a final decision that is right for you.
Dal; there are iron suppliments that don't bung you up...hope you feel better soon too
WWAJC;thrilled for you that the job is looking good...sorry that the car isnt..no wonder R was cross.

Got to go...Dh off to germany tomorrow ...we need some quality time together.

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/09/2009 22:51

Dal, am not sure what is wrong with him...he seems better now though. He literally walked in the living room said "mama" and vomitted....then I had to change his nappy cos he got in a panic about it for some reason was only just on as well lol and he got up and vomitted again. did the same a few times until he fell asleep and at 1am vomitted all over his bed and himself came and climbed on me as i woke up, was burning hot....was still hot at 5 when i got up with him but by about 2pm he was perkier. He is still not himself though.

sorry thats probably rambled but have had 3 hours sleep last night and was a big day for karl as he started secondary today...pics on my facebook...

Stefka · 08/09/2009 06:52

Poor boy - I hope he is better now, sounds awful.

Dareh used to nap at 11ish but we just can't get him to sleep at that time now. Yesterday he was up at 7:45 so tried to get him to sleep at half 12 after an early lunch but he was having none of it. Then he fell asleep at five and woke at seven and went to bed a ten! It's a total mess!

I will look into a mini type house - sounds like a plan! As long as it has doors he will be happy.

Inzi, well done on your weight loss!!! I have gone past the stage of caring what others think i look like in a bikini lmao. If you look on FB you will see i spent a lot of time on the beach over the hols in one....and tbh i am more comfortable and happier now than i was 11 yrs ago when i was a size 8 in clothes.....but then i am an oddball lol.

Stefka · 08/09/2009 18:07

Wow Inzi that night sounds perfect and well done to you for the way you have turned your life around healthy wise!

I think DH and I really need to make time for each other as things have not been the same since DS was born. DH always seems to be in a bad mood with me and is really down.

I think the sexiest thing is a woman who is totally comfortable with her body - something I need to work on!

Dalrymps · 08/09/2009 21:17

Evening ladies,

Floria - Hope you got some nice quality time with dh before he went away again.

Les - Hope Zachary is on the mend.

Stefka - Hope Dareh settles back in to his more usual sleep routine soon.

Hope you and dh manage to make more time for each other, it's so hard sometimes. No one really warns you about the relationship stuff that goes along with having a baby!

The most exciting thing dh and I manage at the mo is going for a walk and recently going swimming but these little things do make a difference and give us a break from the 'groundhog day' feeling.

I think we all need to work on being more comfortable with our bodies, I for one am never satisifed! We were watching an old holiday video the other night from 5 years ago, I had a lovely body compared to what it looks like now... Yet at the time I thought I was 'fat' and felt uncomfortable. I'd give anything to have that body back now!

Inzi - Great to hear from you!

The bed is adorable! Saw your anniversary pics on fb I particularily liked the one of you with a rose in your mouth.

You've done so well on the weight loss, well done for maintaining it too, thats the tough bit I think...

I went to aqua natal again tonight, was good and I had a nice jam donut afterwards yum! I go for the excercise, honest!

NeedCoffee · 08/09/2009 21:48

inzi-I love that bed so much, I wanted it for Shannon but couldn't really afford it, think I've seen it for about £129 different places? The anniversary evening sounds wonderful, it really does.

LES_hope Zachary is better now and that Karl is loving school.

Dal-yum Doughnuts

FT-hope the house is on its way back to his former self and you had lots of quality time with DH.

I'm back to the hospital tommorrow for an hour or so for my first tablet and then all day Fri until its completed and I can go home, not looking forward to the next few days, but trying to look forward in the long term, me and Rich keep bickering, all his fault obviously. Quite gutted that I'm missing my first day of college Fri, a wedding party on Sat, and probably the whole weekend festival thats in Hull this weekend, but suppose its better than having to do it next week.

anyway, love to all, hope everything is good with everyone xx

LisaLessLumpy · 08/09/2009 21:54

Ooo, shiny new thread, will catch up tomorrow :-)

TheLadyEvenstar · 08/09/2009 22:36

Zachary is much better thanks ladies, Karl is LOVING school. he has already been given a merit for French and been put in the top set for MATH!!!!!!!!!!!! so much for it not being his best sunject eh?

NeedCoffee · 08/09/2009 22:43

thats great LES

Stefka · 08/09/2009 23:26

Just took a look at your pictures Inzi - very fab and you look amazing! Love that bed too - Dareh is totally obsessed with peppa pig right now. Thanks to who ever on here gave me the tip about the DVD's at Morrisons. We bought one and it has practically been on 24/7. There is one with a boat that crashes though and that one makes him cry every time. He has a little peppa which goes everywhere with him and we have tears because she can't go in the bath.

NC I have missed something at some point as I am not sure why you need to go into hospital but I hope you are ok.

Dalry I think you hit the nail on the head with the whole ground hog day description. I think me being back at work has helped to break that but DH can't get a job so I think he feels a bit crap. He's great at home though so he shouldn't.

TLES - Karl must be a bright bunny then - good at Maths and French. I was crap at both!

TheLadyEvenstar · 08/09/2009 23:35

I wish Zachary liked Peppa Pig but oh no we have to listen to Bob The bloody builder repeatedly. and in the car we get "Bo uilda we can" "Bo Uilda we can" for whole frigging journey.

NeedCoffee · 09/09/2009 14:19

LES-We had Peeeeeeeeeppa Pig at 2am this morning and also get wo pits(wonder pets) and Fifi! Tis a good thing she's a TV addict today as she's being quiet this afternoon, she was up for hours last night, then again at 5.30, and a horror at the hospital this morning, (Stefkathis explains so glad to have a bit of peace as having cramps after the first tablet, going back on Fri to complete the process, am thinking I should have had the surgical treatment as it would have been faster as it seems quite drawn out this way.

Hows everyone else today?

Dalrymps · 09/09/2009 17:46

Just popping in to see how you're doing NC. Sorry you're having cramps . Is Rich looking after you? I hope the next few days go quickly for you... Were they nice at the hospital? Did you get any sort of counselling? Look after yourself x ((hugs))
